Surpass has good motors. Less good experience with the ESC. Bit of lag. Less lag than goolRC though. Never used castle. I stick with Hobbywing when i have the money. But a strong recommendation with Hobbywing: get a larger system than you think you need, because (at least in California weather) Hobbywing run way too hot.

Good job buddy I smacked a curb with my nitro 4tec at 68mph so I feel your pain lol it's still not fixed yet parts are hard to find but the Kyosho fazer did 76mph with the body off and a surpass set up on 4s 5900kv stock gearing before the tire blew off keep up the good and bad moment it connects us all lol

Imagine this $40 Ebay junk 30 years ago. This would beat almost all the R/C at that time.

In the case of cheap ESC, i am more concerned about durability than about performance. I mean, how would behave the medium-cheap (Surpass) during a race weekend in summer with temperature above 30ºC? Would it work normally? Would it cut the power for overheating protection during the race? Woul it burn?

Without knowing the KVs and dimensions of the motors the speeds really have no explanation

I wish I would have seen this video a week ago. I just got 40 dollar motor and ESC from ebay. I've been going back and forth with ebay seller. I got cogging and a bad delay. Just trying to make a brushed redcat rc brushless and more fun.

What kv? Guarantee a 3800 kv castle will be slower than a 7700kv cheapo with the same voltage. Also castle esc is also completely customizable programming wise. The Bluetooth Castle link is decent. Use the castle esc on the surpass motor and you will end up at the same speed as the surpass combo. Kv is super important factor that needs to be known for any of this to make sense.

Just traded my 21 Durango RT with 26,900 mi. on it for a quality made car. I took the Durango into service for the two year's I owned it and suffered many problems, and the radio froze all the time, randomly lost sound, weather app never worked, suspension issues galore, tire issues, brake issues electrical issues. The dealers don't seem to give a damn. I will never ever buy another Dodge again. Toyota and Lexus from here on out brotha.

if that serpass is the 150 amp it all so can run 4 s . and 5s all so 6s but not for long .

90$ for the surpass combo 😂😂 they didn't just see you coming they heard & invited you😂. Its 23£ for that motor, card & esc. I dont understand most people they say "I'll never buy from China, i use ebay" yeah they pay 20% more & are buying from the same seller thats on ali express. I could name 3 of my top stores that charge 10-20% more on ebay as there official store on ali express. The sellers will even lie to you on ebay, in the advert, they say uk or usa stock, iv scrolled down to seller info & there in hong kong😮 iv questioned them, they even say uk stock but delivery takes 5--9 days when uk is 3 days. They ship from China with fast shipping. Just go direct to there ali express store, it 20% cheaper, & they dont lie

I have a couple of those cheap ebay esc and they do, do 4s lol i had tried it a couple of times just for shits lol but i run 2s mostly and 3s on occasion. They are a clone HW esc and you can tune them with rhe HW program card as well.

There's a program card for the ebay esc to set the punch. I would not run it on 3s.

My XRT motor developed a huge vibration after changing a broken pinion, at first i thought it was the pinion, then I thought I managed to bend the shaft when taking the pinion off (several times), now I think I damaged the bearing(s)... this is great, you may well have just saved me £200 for a new motor.

It helps with the goolrc set up if you have the program card . I have one in my sct amd it scoots along pretty good and rooster tales gravel in turns and everything , still alot of fun for alot less money

I have that same cheap esc and it is laggy because of a low punch setting I know because mine cane with a manual and that esc works great for me an long as you are on the throttle just a little bit then punch it, you can trick it.

Kool that the surpass 3s was faster than the castle on 3s with I never new that a 3s speed controller is faster on 3s than a four s esc on 3s

The fact that I have a 2022 brought brand new with no miles and it’s still not fixed grinds my gears some type of way I wanted this truck so bad and I love music but seeing people have the problem on a 21 and here I have a 22 I feel robbed smh
