Remake Dead Space 2 definitely! As for 3, if they can’t remake it from scratch to make it more horror than action, then replace it with another Dead Space game in the canon.
I'd like a faithful remake of the second game (all same voice cast) and a ground up reinterpretation of dead space 3. Hopefully in this new dead space 3, they can focus on survival horror and give us a brand new story
One correction. The train/tram isn’t gone from the game. It’s going to be out of service at first and later on you’ll be able to repair it to travel quickly between the sections. It’s just at first you’ll have to walk the ship
yeah it'll be a lockdown and you have to unlock each station. You hear how - when you get the captain codes - Hammond is going to give you a clearance level to use the bridge station, but first you have to unlock the engineering station. THat's the cool thing about this remake. You'll arrive in some chapters via other ways , and the tram will function as a fast travel as you finish chapters.
True, and I like how they've made it real time; it's really going to make us feel that pausing like in the first game's chapter transition is a thing of the past, and I can respect Motive for that level of dedication to make this feel as consistent to the Dead Space games' progression to immersive gameplay as they can. Hell, the A.L.I.V.E. system where they narrowed down Isaac's age gap for his heart-rate to be exact shows the level of thoroughness they've chosen to take.

I honestly hope they remake the whole trilogy. I know 3 is kind of the black sheep, but it did have some good moments. The dlc in particular had really good elements of horror that I think if motive adds that into the main story it could be a solid entry.
Less action,more horror,better character development and of course NO MICRO TRANSACTION.And DS3 could be one of the best games of the year its release. One thing i really liked about DS3 was the work bench.The weapons i made were a reflection of what i would have made if i were in Issac pants.Semi-Auto Rifle with a Flamethrower and a Sniper rifle with a rocket launcher. Thats the combo i always go with. I think DS3 was the game i replayed the most.

I would like Dead Space 2 to be remade but have an ending in which a new story can be created and expanded upon. That way Dead Space 3 can be retconned.
Out of the trilogy, it does need more of a reimagining as much as a remake, but it did present good ideas that worked for the franchise; Tau Volantis, the aliens native to Tau Volantis, The Brethren Moons, they work as they add more to the lore. What didn't was...what everyone's talked to death about, so I shan't repeat for our sakes of already knowing.
Easy way for EA to redeem themselves would be just make a great game, occasionally drop some low cost DLC in terms of lore or prequel that adds to value by extended play time and enriching lore. Maybe some Unitologist related stuff, or something involving those who made the Marker, or something to do with Tau Volantis, etc. Then do DS3 the way it was supposed to be originally with Isaac taking a nice trip down the hallway of insanity. Then maybe a DS4 that expands and moves forward. But I'm looking forward to this and Collisto Protocol.
Are you sure they had plans to make a dead space 4 that was open ended they had you going around a galaxy map to other stations collecting resorces and such rescuing people and stuff that sounds knda awesome
I went back to play the original Dead Space on Xbox Series X last month. With the callisto protocol coming next month and Dead Space remake the month after, it's good to see survival horror that's not Resident evil for a change.
Number 1 thing to know: Play the original. It still holds up, and even today the shadows, lighting, and atmosphere are as great now as they were then. Do it, the games can be gotten together most times as a bundle and you can get the whole series for less then this remake will sell for.
It might have been due to limitations to the Havok engine that the original game used, or time limitations (though I sort of doubt that one), or simply ignorance to its existence; aside from movies like Alien, Event Horizon and The Thing, Resident Evil 4 was what changed the project from a System Shock sequel into an original IP.
I'm hoping they do a remake of Dead Space 2, but then do a reimagining of Dead Space 3. I really liked exploring the remains of an ancient human fleet, but that was the highlight to me of the 3rd installment.
I'm glad you clarified the point about the MTX, because I was just about to say the same thing. Even though there are no MTX in this game at the moment, take it with a grain if salt. You never know what EA are capable of doing as track record shows.

I hope for the same; company's tend to follow the more successful trends and with the Dead Space remake being inspired by 2019's Resident Evil 2 remakes' success, I'm thinking companies are realising horror games are more popular and marketable than they previously thought; and I hope Dead Space fans understand that games getting sequels are decided on how well a product sells, (just like films) so I hope there are enough people to justify another Dead Space to be in production. If so, we can resurrect this franchise past one remake...so we can be made whole, again.

Remake Dead Space 1 with a better plot structure with less annoying "go here do that fix this fetch that", better controls most specifically for the melee, stomp, and kinesis like in 2, make Isaac an actual protagonist. Then remaster 2, then retcon and COMPLETELY remake 3. Bam, now you got one of the best video game franchises in history.

I love all the main games of the Dead Space franchise and the Dead Space Remake, but the honourable mentions I have made are important! Remakes of original games should not spoil specific sections of the originals, if they are somewhat perfect in its own way, regardless of opinion in no matter whatever is said about them.
Honestly, I would love for them to remake dead space 2 and yes, I would love to see a new dead space game possibly a first person game like resident evil 7
Dead Space 3 remake should have a total revamp in its challenge and main plot. Taking out only most of the action that spoiled the original 3rd game and replacing it with the classic horror challenge from the two originals that made them an absolute delight to play. CO-OP Play should never be added to the DS3 Remake, but adding different ways to travel for the side missions instead that was actually interesting to notice in the third instalment for the first time. Along with better rewards as well. TAU VOLANTIS should maybe feature even more content and the clearance mechanics would also make significantly even more sense when travelling around in ships that have been abandoned for 200 years in outer space and on the hostile planet's deadly surface. The final push part where Isaac rushes to catch/kill Jacob Arthur Danik, should not have too many workbenches around to distract the player and keep them moving instead until they reach the final climactic boss battle. If all these ideas were met, DEAD SPACE 3 would actually become a third worldwide success. Guaranteed.
I'm surprised. I actually like this video. I do hope they remake DS2 and DS3. I like both games. I have every single achievement on all 3 games. I'm always playing DS3. I like the Brusilov. I like to go in there with somebody on IMPOSSIBLE level and let them go into that first room ahead of me. It amuses me to hear all the fire works going off as they're getting attacked and I'm just waiting outside. When all's clear, I go in hoping that they killed everything! 😄 I was waiting for Callisto Protocol but I may not get that game anytime soon. I'm not much into melee mode where you have to slug it out with things that have broadswords for arms and you have an electric baton. It's too bad. I was looking forward to that game for a long time. I don't think Dead Space'll let me down though. I can't see how it'll be an improvement on the original, but it'll be something new. As far as preordering it, I don't know. Maybe I'll do it, but the games seem to always have bugs and glitches that need to be taken care of. I'll get it soon after release though! Now my only concern is my platform. I have an XBox One X. It's about 4 years old. Will I still be able to play this game on my platform? I know Microsoft has a newer platform that's built like a box. I was going to wait for the next one after that. This game feels just like the one game on Xbox 360 that I played it just feels so much like it except the graphics are better other than that it's just feel so on par. Main reason reason why I bought a PlayStation 5 was because of this game and the exclusive games PlayStation have. I bought a gift for myself from myself. This game is amazing I love it
As a veteran gamer of Dead Space remake and of its originaIs, I am incredibly impressed at the unbelievable amount of work and artistic detail EA MOTIVE has done to make the game even better than the original 2008 version, making it considered to be a true masterpiece worldwide. But I have important notes of comparison between the remake and the original that should be mentioned towards the very possible remake of Dead Space 2: Even though the narrative is greater than the original, it's somewhat appalling to listen to, because Hammond is featured far less often as the weaker character that later on costs himself his own life in the USM VALOR as he decides to "call abort on the repair mission," before HE decides to salvage the singularity core with Isaac's help, instead of Isaac alone saying that he should instead. (There is no mention ingame, where Hammond says he does this in the remake, why?!) The cannons are a huge disappointment. Because in the original, it's one of the hardest parts of the game that made the original more favourable in its status of overall challenges. The way the EA MOTIVE creators have changed the use of the cannons has literally ruined the major mid-section of the game in its overall player engagement. The use of the marker was interesting for how it actually affects all players and NPC characters, including how there's a slight distortion effect whenever the player gets too close to the man-made artefact. And the necromorph enemies in action are most impressive and unpredictable to face off against. Especially the Hive Mind where it forces you to shoot it's mouth! A very fast and very difficult shot indeed. And finally, the ending cinematic. The original 2008 scare is greater than the remake version. The remake has very sadly spoiled this iconic jump scare. If the second game is to be recreated, the narrative must stay the same as the 2014 original at least, for it to become an ultimate perfection towards a significant revamp on the 3rd disastrously made final dead space 3 game that should be remade as the originals were. There should never be a co-op option either, the originals 1& 2 were perfect. DS3 didn't need it at all. It was a pointless option to add along with microtransactions that SHOULDN'T have been featured at all.

Dead space 2 deserves the remake but everything has to stay the same Dead space 3 however, it can go either way but can definitely benefit from changes
I hope they "RE Remake" the entire trilogy. DS2 was the Empire Strikes Back of of the originals. DS3 was the weakest. They need to change the storyline for it. Dispense with that second character and focus on Isaac, especially since they seem to want to have him more fleshed out in this new game.
Looks like this remake is our only hope now. I just played The Callisto Protocol and it was for lack of a better word: disappointing. In fact, I say that GameSpot's review of the game sums up my opinion of the game.
Calisto Protocol was just too short in my opinion. It had good moments but to me it just felt like it had been done before, as it felt like it was just getting started it was over. No NG+ at launch has really hurt it too. I'm more excited for DS remake and RE4 remake in all honesty. Both look incredible.
Ah I remember on higher Difficulties having to save ammo by "Shoot the arm off, pull the arm, throw the arm to impale. Rinse and repeat" 😂 Best news is that the PS4 and XB1 are finally being let out of new games. They should do the same for the XSS. And only leave PS5 and XSX so we can finally get better games.
They cant really shut out the previous generation of consoles when a new one comes out because not everyone can afford or wants to upgrade right away. But at the same time it holds the new generation back. Console manufactures should really incentivise people to upgrade by simply discounting them on new console if they own a previous gen one. PC just gets around this by being able to play any game at any given time. You can still play games from 15 years ago on PC while on consoles you have to wait for a re release.
Who knows, if the remake sells well, it might show EA that there is still potential in this franchise. Dead Space 3 made the same mistakes Capcom made with RE post RE4, it became too action oriented and coop.
love this franchise, but this “remake” will fail. Here is why: 1. Only on next gen it means sales will be bad. 2. Calisto project has the soul of the original Dead Space ironically. 3. Calisto looks much better and it is on both previous and next gen consoles. 4. Dead space 1 is set to fail if it has micro transaction which it will. Since it will under sell on the NEXT GEN ONLY. 5. “Re-imagen” vs “Remaster” if it’s a re-imagen then we need MORE replayable besides just the campaign. 6. Meaningful DLC not just skin suits as the first one had. 7. E.A. Not knowing what their audience wants from the franchise. 8. Will we see more variety of enemy variety and weapons if not these 2 factors are a must. 9. Are we gonna get a story that includes characters from the movies or even video logs of their struggles. 10. The competition is as high as it gets for us horror fans, we are eating good. Dead Space Remake, Calisto Protocol, and RE 4 Remake. All we need is Evil Within 3. 11. Will the price tag be worth it if it’s just the campaign. 12. This point is more directed towards the franchise as a whole. Lack of community engagement if they decide to move forward with future remakes. Ask us what we want vs what corporations want.

I've said it once and I'll say it again fellas: If EA REALLY did care about the Dead Space franchise? They'd BEG the original team to do it AND release it along with a Triology package for the same full game price of 60$. WITH DLC. But no. Instead we have the original team behind Dead Space doing Callisto Protocol and about to embarrass the hell out of EA come December of 2022

We wanted a better take at Dead Space 3 since it flopped, plus, the ending to Dead space 3 made little to no sense depending on if you have DLC or not. Passion or not, they should know that a proper remake doesn't NEED to add anything else to the original. Is it nice to see Issac talk in the first one? Sure. Does it add to it? Not at all since you're doing the exact same thing, except now you HEAR Issac acknowledge it. As for the price tag, that's really whatever at this rate, but once again, if they were TRULY passionate, they'd release the remake WITH the original, Dead space 2, 3 AND DLC, at 70$ or 60$ as a full game package for the fans. Too bad they won't do that.
@Real time Entertainment I'm not asking them to release the triology for FREE. I'm asking them to RE-RELEASE the triology for NEW GEN CONSOLES. It absolutely blows that everything is getting a Ps5 ps4 port, meanwhile Dead Space 1 and 2 are in the dust and Dead Space 3 WAS free on PS now for a little bit, but then it got removed. I WOULD pay 100$ honestly if it meant that I got the whole triology and all the DLCS because I LOVE the dead space series and the fact that you say that passion doesn't matter, really makes you one of the worst types of players. The type that doesn't care about the quality that comes out and just plays it for the sake of playing it. If they ARE passionate about it, they'll make it good come January. If not? Well then it's clear that EA wants to just use Dead Space to get some easy cash.
That gameplay looks embarrassing. Terrible strafing animation, weapons feel like they tickle the enemies and the necros look like angry zombies instead of someone who just got torn appart by a reanimated corpse

It exists in SO many games now a days. If anything, I imagine it'll cause performance issues on the Ps5 and make a few FPS drops on PC.

I'm hoping they do a remake of Dead Space 2, but then do a reimagining of Dead Space 3. I really liked exploring the remains of an ancient human fleet, but that was the highlight to me of the 3rd installment.
God I hope this is as good as I hope this was such a good game even now I still believe it to be one of the best especially among horrors can't wait
I'm glad you clarified the point about the MTX, because I was just about to say the same thing. Even though there are no MTX in this game at the moment, take it with a grain if salt. You never know what EA are capable of doing as track record shows.

Definitely not a good idea (save resources for where it counts). Least of all with an AI companion.

I hope for the same; company's tend to follow the more successful trends and with the Dead Space remake being inspired by 2019's Resident Evil 2 remakes' success, I'm thinking companies are realising horror games are more popular and marketable than they previously thought; and I hope Dead Space fans understand that games getting sequels are decided on how well a product sells, (just like films) so I hope there are enough people to justify another Dead Space to be in production.
If so, we can resurrect this franchise past one remake...so we can be made whole, again.

At first when I heard it's announcement I was excited more than silent hill 2 and resident evil 4 remakes but now it's reversed
Remake Dead Space 1 with a better plot structure with less annoying "go here do that fix this fetch that", better controls most specifically for the melee, stomp, and kinesis like in 2, make Isaac an actual protagonist.
Then remaster 2, then retcon and COMPLETELY remake 3. Bam, now you got one of the best video game franchises in history.
Yes I'm excited for the Dead Space Remake or I hope they make a remake of Dead Space 2 and rather see a brand new entry in the Franchise on the PS3 or on the PS4 like The Basics and Next Gen Only and No Microtransactions and Atmospheric Audio and Terrifying Tweaks and Isaac Speaks and A.L.I.V.E. and One Shot and Peeling and Intensity Director
I love all the main games of the Dead Space franchise and the Dead Space Remake, but the honourable mentions I have made are important! Remakes of original games should not spoil specific sections of the originals, if they are somewhat perfect in its own way, regardless of opinion in no matter whatever is said about them.
Honestly, I would love for them to remake dead space 2 and yes, I would love to see a new dead space game possibly a first person game like resident evil 7

Dead Space 3 remake should have a total revamp in its challenge and main plot. Taking out only most of the action that spoiled the original 3rd game and replacing it with the classic horror challenge from the two originals that made them an absolute delight to play.
CO-OP Play should never be added to the DS3 Remake, but adding different ways to travel for the side missions instead that was actually interesting to notice in the third instalment for the first time. Along with better rewards as well.
TAU VOLANTIS should maybe feature even more content and the clearance mechanics would also make significantly even more sense when travelling around in ships that have been abandoned for 200 years in outer space and on the hostile planet's deadly surface.
The final push part where Isaac rushes to catch/kill Jacob Arthur Danik, should not have too many workbenches around to distract the player and keep them moving instead until they reach the final climactic boss battle.
If all these ideas were met, DEAD SPACE 3 would actually become a third worldwide success. Guaranteed.
I'm surprised. I actually like this video. I do hope they remake DS2 and DS3. I like both games. I have every single achievement on all 3 games. I'm always playing DS3. I like the Brusilov. I like to go in there with somebody on IMPOSSIBLE level and let them go into that first room ahead of me. It amuses me to hear all the fire works going off as they're getting attacked and I'm just waiting outside. When all's clear, I go in hoping that they killed everything! 😄 I was waiting for Callisto Protocol but I may not get that game anytime soon. I'm not much into melee mode where you have to slug it out with things that have broadswords for arms and you have an electric baton. It's too bad. I was looking forward to that game for a long time. I don't think Dead Space'll let me down though. I can't see how it'll be an improvement on the original, but it'll be something new. As far as preordering it, I don't know. Maybe I'll do it, but the games seem to always have bugs and glitches that need to be taken care of. I'll get it soon after release though! Now my only concern is my platform. I have an XBox One X. It's about 4 years old. Will I still be able to play this game on my platform? I know Microsoft has a newer platform that's built like a box. I was going to wait for the next one after that. If anybody knows, let me know.

This game feels just like the one game on Xbox 360 that I played it just feels so much like it except the graphics are better other than that it's just feel so on par. Main reason reason why I bought a PlayStation 5 was because of this game and the exclusive games PlayStation have. I bought a gift for myself from myself. This game is amazing I love it
As a veteran gamer of Dead Space remake and of its originaIs, I am incredibly impressed at the unbelievable amount of work and artistic detail EA MOTIVE has done to make the game even better than the original 2008 version, making it considered to be a true masterpiece worldwide.
But I have important notes of comparison between the remake and the original that should be mentioned towards the very possible remake of Dead Space 2:
Even though the narrative is greater than the original, it's somewhat appalling to listen to, because Hammond is featured far less often as the weaker character that later on costs himself his own life in the USM VALOR as he decides to "call abort on the repair mission," before HE decides to salvage the singularity core with Isaac's help, instead of Isaac alone saying that he should instead. (There is no mention ingame, where Hammond says he does this in the remake, why?!)
The cannons are a huge disappointment. Because in the original, it's one of the hardest parts of the game that made the original more favourable in its status of overall challenges. The way the EA MOTIVE creators have changed the use of the cannons has literally ruined the major mid-section of the game in its overall player engagement.
The use of the marker was interesting for how it actually affects all players and NPC characters, including how there's a slight distortion effect whenever the player gets too close to the man-made artefact.
And the necromorph enemies in action are most impressive and unpredictable to face off against. Especially the Hive Mind where it forces you to shoot it's mouth! A very fast and very difficult shot indeed.
And finally, the ending cinematic. The original 2008 scare is greater than the remake version. The remake has very sadly spoiled this iconic jump scare.
If the second game is to be recreated, the narrative must stay the same as the 2014 original at least, for it to become an ultimate perfection towards a significant revamp on the 3rd disastrously made final dead space 3 game that should be remade as the originals were.
There should never be a co-op option either, the originals 1& 2 were perfect. DS3 didn't need it at all. It was a pointless option to add along with microtransactions that SHOULDN'T have been featured at all.
HELL YEAH GIMMIE SOME SWEET ASS DEAD SPACE 2 REMAKE THAT DESERVES A REMAKE AND HOPEFULLY PICK UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF ON DEAD SPACE 3

I hope they "RE Remake" the entire trilogy. DS2 was the Empire Strikes Back of of the originals. DS3 was the weakest. They need to change the storyline for it. Dispense with that second character and focus on Isaac, especially since they seem to want to have him more fleshed out in this new game.

Looks like this remake is our only hope now. I just played The Callisto Protocol and it was for lack of a better word: disappointing. In fact, I say that GameSpot's review of the game sums up my opinion of the game.
Calisto Protocol was just too short in my opinion. It had good moments but to me it just felt like it had been done before, as it felt like it was just getting started it was over. No NG+ at launch has really hurt it too.
I'm more excited for DS remake and RE4 remake in all honesty. Both look incredible.

Best news is that the PS4 and XB1 are finally being let out of new games. They should do the same for the XSS. And only leave PS5 and XSX so we can finally get better games.
They cant really shut out the previous generation of consoles when a new one comes out because not everyone can afford or wants to upgrade right away.
But at the same time it holds the new generation back. Console manufactures should really incentivise people to upgrade by simply discounting them on new console if they own a previous gen one.
PC just gets around this by being able to play any game at any given time. You can still play games from 15 years ago on PC while on consoles you have to wait for a re release.

love this franchise, but this “remake” will fail. Here is why:
1. Only on next gen it means sales will be bad.
2. Calisto project has the soul of the original Dead Space ironically.
3. Calisto looks much better and it is on both previous and next gen consoles.
4. Dead space 1 is set to fail if it has micro transaction which it will. Since it will under sell on the NEXT GEN ONLY.
5. “Re-imagen” vs “Remaster” if it’s a re-imagen then we need MORE replayable besides just the campaign.
6. Meaningful DLC not just skin suits as the first one had.
7. E.A. Not knowing what their audience wants from the franchise.
8. Will we see more variety of enemy variety and weapons if not these 2 factors are a must.
9. Are we gonna get a story that includes characters from the movies or even video logs of their struggles.
10. The competition is as high as it gets for us horror fans, we are eating good. Dead Space Remake, Calisto Protocol, and RE 4 Remake. All we need is Evil Within 3.
11. Will the price tag be worth it if it’s just the campaign.
12. This point is more directed towards the franchise as a whole. Lack of community engagement if they decide to move forward with future remakes. Ask us what we want vs what corporations want.

If EA REALLY did care about the Dead Space franchise? They'd BEG the original team to do it AND release it along with a Triology package for the same full game price of 60$. WITH DLC. But no. @Real time Entertainment Nobody asked for a remake. We wanted a better take at Dead Space 3 since it flopped, plus, the ending to Dead space 3 made little to no sense depending on if you have DLC or not.
Passion or not, they should know that a proper remake doesn't NEED to add anything else to the original. Is it nice to see Issac talk in the first one? Sure. Does it add to it? Not at all since you're doing the exact same thing, except now you HEAR Issac acknowledge it. As for the price tag, that's really whatever at this rate, but once again, if they were TRULY passionate, they'd release the remake WITH the original, Dead space 2, 3 AND DLC, at 70$ or 60$ as a full game package for the fans. Too bad they won't do that.
@Real time Entertainment I'm not asking them to release the triology for FREE. I'm asking them to RE-RELEASE the triology for NEW GEN CONSOLES. It absolutely blows that everything is getting a Ps5 ps4 port, meanwhile Dead Space 1 and 2 are in the dust and Dead Space 3 WAS free on PS now for a little bit, but then it got removed. I WOULD pay 100$ honestly if it meant that I got the whole triology and all the DLCS because I LOVE the dead space series and the fact that you say that passion doesn't matter, really makes you one of the worst types of players. The type that doesn't care about the quality that comes out and just plays it for the sake of playing it. If they ARE passionate about it, they'll make it good come January. If not? Well then it's clear that EA wants to just use Dead Space to get some easy cash.
I think as long as you're still selling PlayStation 4 and Xbox One they should release the games for the current gen systems and next-gen systems
That gameplay looks embarrassing. Terrible strafing animation, weapons feel like they tickle the enemies and the necros look like angry zombies instead of someone who just got torn appart by a reanimated corpse
