Brad, have you seen any of Jack Martin's transformations to "grey"? sooo wish i could do that on myself...hahaha. but you are right, the meticulous foiling and coloring of each strand is so important.
Brad, could you do videos on how to manage mature hair? My silvers seem a different texture than my..."younger" hair? And as I get more silvers in I don't know whether to leave it all to mix naturally or whether to color the whole thing. And once you're fully silver, do your options in cuts and colors change? Would be an interesting series.
I'm under 30 but I have quite a bit of silver in the front of my hair. Since my other hair is dark I decided to just embrace it. I didn't want to become self conscious about having to upkeep at the time. I recently started using Keracolor purple color + clenditioner just for fun. I use it from my hairline to the crown of my head to turn some of my silver hair on top a medium shade of violet. You just use it in the shower like regular conditioner so it doesn't add time to my routine but it's still a fun way to add a little pop of color. (The only other color I've ever used in my hair is Manic Panic semi-permanent. It turns my medium brown hair a deep purple that is mostly noticeable in natural light. Sometimes I do it on the front of my hair for fun but it only lasts a few washes)
@@sw3783 Not necessarily. There’s express keratin treatments that run around $60-$90 dollars. May have to shop around but it’s doable. Anything chemical will cost big $$ to be done well, so that’s just part of it lol.
@@sw3783 Okay…but they were asking suggestions not for us to know what’s in their wallet. This is so random for you to take issue with lol. That’s kind of their call like you said they may or may not have extra money to spend. Semi permanent cost $6 when you’re getting splat from Walmart but sometimes people like going professional and don’t necessarily want fashion colors, so I don’t see the problem with offering a range of ideas.
Just have to say, more professionals in every field should be like you Brad! It’s so lovely to see you uplifting and sharing other great hairstylists work, that says a lot about you as a person! 10/10
Amazing. LOVE the second one... going grey took years off her face. I just got back from my amazimg hairdresser who upped the greys in my hair for me so my silver front bits had some friends. Loving it. First cut and colour since july after a long lockdown here in Melbourne Australia. So happy. Watching your vids stopped me from making an utter mess of things on so many occasions. Thank you for your service Brad, my hair thanks you!
My jaw DROPPED on the second, silver transformation! I have been doing the same for my mom over quarantine but as a much more gradual process. For a one-day this is INCREDIBLE!!
Bobby Hair Studio is magical in the transformations they do! I have been watching their videos for awhile and it's honestly shocking the results she can achieve. Not only that but she really walks you through the process and explains it so well. Love the see her work getting some attention and praise!
These color corrections were AMAZING! I loved Guy Tang's. But they were all gorgeous! To all my fellow hairdressers featured in this video, I strive for results like this! Keep it up!
I have been going to a professional stylist since my senior year in high school. I am a natural brunette who likes to be blonde. I recently switched stylists last year since I moved and my new one is the best ever! She's well worth the price for the time and effort she puts into my hair. She's a specialist in blonding. Plus she's an amazing person. I will never regret all the money I spent getting my hair professionally done. You guys go to school to learn how to do this and hair is so complex. It's definitely an art form. Hair stylists are too underrated for all the beautiful work you guys do. Shout out to all the amazing hair stylists out there!
@Crissy yep i’m 27 and i’ve been done with box dye for a year. It’s so much easier to go to a professional (especially after i burned off my hair and had to cut it off entirely, wasting a ton of money in the process).
Guy Tang does amazing work, but honestly…I have to mute his videos to be able to watch them because he just stresses me out so badly. He’s so nutty and the way he speaks makes me really anxious 😂
Like the second woman, my mom transitioned from coloring to growing out her silver hair awhile back and it suits her so well! BUTTTT recently she just put purple streaks into her bangs (by HERSELF!) and she looks even more beautiful! Wish I could post a picture!
I've been binge watching you for the last week. Haven't watched ya in like a year and a half. Life has been hectic and other shows were catching my attention. Life has been a little heavy recently and I always find myself coming back to watch you in my heaviest times 💖 I don't do my hair, but I love watching others transformations and taking the good with the bad. Helps remind me we're all struggling somehow. Obviously you being the absolute most positive person out there while still being honest without being crude is what really brings me up the most 💫 all of the positive affirmations, constantly lifting and teaching others just helps the soul recharge 💞 So happy to be alive to enjoy this era of Brad Mondo 🌌
Yea people do not realize how hard it can be to fix hair that is damaged or needs color correction. Its tricky stuff. These woman are so lucky and beautiful! I am truly astonished with those results!
The second lady with silver hair made me realize something. My grandma toned her hair daily. She had a great bottle of toner that she would drop in her hair and smooth out and leave in till nighttime where's she'd bathe, then the next morning do it again. I remember reading it and it saying it was a toner but I was a kid and didn't know what that meant till now lol. Then she wanted brown hair...but she got a red hair dye...then she got a lightener...then finally brunette hair dye. She made us do her hair for her lmao. Her hair color was all over the place😂😂🤷 she was 90.
hey i used a purple toner the other day! it made my hair silver-y blonde, with mostly silver-white on the ends (with around 3 quarters of an inch brownish root showing on a root smudge- my hair is a shoulder length layered bob) i like how it turned out!
Thanks for featuring the second example ! I've decided to go my natural silvery white and its worried me a good deal. Seeing such a positive outcome on someone else is an inspiration!
more videos like this PLEASEEE. as a hairdresser this was almooosttt more satisfying than unprofessionals doing it lol. this is awesome. hairdressers are wizards.
I had my hair bleached a year ago, dyed it pink and just experimented with fashion colours, the last colour I used was a grey/blue and the blue stayed in my hair for so long, by the time I finally got to the hairdressers (covid kept pushing my appointment back) I felt so bad bc the blue was still there, and she didn't even care, she got my hair to a BEAUTIFUL copper colour in one session (5 hours) and only charged me £100. It was truly a transformation.😍😍
Yes Brad! Thanks for showing the hard work hairdressers do! I've had alot of clients recently go from coloured/tinted hair to grey! Thats alot of work! Also, LOVED your hair today!!
I'm currently in cosmetology school and one of my main reason with why I want to do hair is from watching you Brad! I felt like it was just so much fun to do and I'm also a creative person so I'm excited with that aspect of it too! But as of recently, I've been thinking that I might be getting way to far ahead of myself 😭 I know one step at a time but man, it's just so complex learning this stuff. I've got about 8 more weeks left of the paper part before I'm officially on the floor and it's safe to say that I am so nervous and excited at the same time but I really don't wanna fuck up anybody's hair. I keep telling myself that I'm still new to this and that I'm still learning new things but HOLY SHIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTT 😨

Loved all of them but the woman with the grey hair was my fave. The end result took years off her! I really appreciate my hairdresser and feel so comfortable telling him to do what he wants. He loves it because it gives him a challenge coming up with different toner shades. Love a good pick n mix! 😂 😂 xx
Please do more videos like this!! I loved seeing these talented stylists and getting the explanation of what they're doing. I can't decide which I like best, the first one is being saved as an idea for my hair for the future (I go to a stylist, don't worry ahaha), the second one is just beautiful, the lady looks just stunning with her silver hair! Taking out those chunky highlights, I would've noped TF out of that one, and the last one, what a gorgeous result!
Brad, you and Guy are my go-to hair dudes , because you give great advice on how to cut and style the hair to make it work and Guy is helpful with how to color and get pretty results without murdering the hair, and is even awesome enough that he answers questions in fb comments.... and I fangirled over that LOL.
Like the second lady, I decided to stop dyeing my hair. So I went from dark brunette to gray. We cut it from below the shoulder to a chin length bob. It took two bleaching appointments a few months apart. My first session took 8 hours- the second session took four. I have very thick hair so I had so many foils my head hurt from the wait. The outcome is amazing and so worth it.Totally love my hair and my stylist.
I had a recent hair fail where I ended up staining my vanilla cream blonde with blue pigment that faded teal, then highlighter blue/mint green. I had it for about 10 days but because I’m a machinist I wash my hair more frequently some weeks when I don’t wear a silk sleep cap or shower cap (I sometimes work on machinery that covers me in a fine mist of coolant and I grind ferrites so the powder also circulates around and mixes with the coolant which I don’t want in my hair. On wash days or very hot days in the summer I won’t wear the cap because I sweat and get itchy) and that week I purposely washed it more often in hopes to get rid of the blue. I ended up doing my own color correction because I was desperate and have been coloring/cutting my own hair for over 5 years now and miraculously found myself with a GORGEOUS rose blonde! After a color remover and bleach wash I was able to get it to a pale enough green shade to use a rose blonde toner to neutralize the green and now my hair is my favorite color yet! I haven’t even needed to tone again and that happened for Halloween 😍
I went to Toni and guy hairdressing academy, this video gave me so much satisfaction bc I was taught color corrections by the guy who was their color correction director. Also, one of my teachers was a color correction specialist. I LOVE your videos bc you really know your stuff. I've got super thick hair, pitch black and often am asked when getting my hair done, what race I am because my hair is that course and thick. According to ancestry dna... I'm ridiculously European, Scottish, tiny bit Irish and also a tiny bit southern Asian. I often end up doing my hair myself (as many trained hairstylists do) mostly because my hair is rather unique and a lot of people don't texturize it nearly enough... a friend I was in cosmo school with is my usual go to for cuts and fashion shades. That was the first cosmo school I attended when it was a private institution and not public bc they were still in their first few years of opening (Texas laws back in the day, I had to even do pedicures and facials... and I HATE feet... anywho, long story short the daughter of the 1st school I went to and my friend opened up a higher end salon together with another girl I went to school with at T&G. I'd need to look up their instagrams, but my friend specializes in cuts, coloring (fascinating fashion shades) and styling. She used to be in management at Toni and guy before she opened her salon. I've a few other extremely talented friends who are on insta promoting themselves. If this interests you, I'd be happy to look up their handles and share them. BTW the salon my friend Megan partly owns is Called jackalope beauty salon and it's located in old Town keller, Texas (not far from where Bonnie and clide are buried)
I wish u could see the transformation my hair has gone through the last yr... I was box black die once a month for 20 + yrs... I went through 4 separate appointments in just under a yr and went to blonde and now ash blonde for winter... totally in love and can say I will not go back to box die ever again... and I just ordered one of your shampoo kits to take care of it 🙂🙂🙂

I want to go to my natural gray. I just don’t know how to find someone I can trust to do it. A famous stylist who does this is close by but he’s not taking new clients. Great video. Thank you.
Any good colourists can make you silver. It was a big trend for a few years so all of them have experience. I had my hairdresser do it a few years ago and it turned out great. If you do it, don't go back for pro toning, it will lighten and damage the new growth..Celeste in Venice on youtube has a warning vid on this. Just let your natural grey come in and use purple shampoo and/or conditioners. Won't be perfect but your hair will thank you. I had lots of fun with manic panic purple mixed with conditioner. And before you know it, you'll be in the silver fox club! I've never had so many compliments! :)

(The only other color I've ever used in my hair is Manic Panic semi-permanent. It turns my medium brown hair a deep purple that is mostly noticeable in natural light. Sometimes I do it on the front of my hair for fun but it only lasts a few washes)
Why not get a keratin treatment? It’ll smooth everything down and make it more manageable
That last one; OMG!! I'm so impressed, it came out so perfectly, I can't believe it
Just have to say, more professionals in every field should be like you Brad!
It's official: Hair stylists are magicians. They have this magical ability to make us feel good about ourselves. 💖
That stripping!!!!!! I can not believe that stylist had the patience for that. Bless her!!!
I learned how crazy hard this is in hair school.
Anyone notice that the first one who had their hair stripped was youtuber Mikey from Glam and Gore?
Finally a color to natural grey transfo!!!! We need to see more!!
Bobby Hair Studio is magical in the transformations they do! I have been watching their videos for awhile and it's honestly shocking the results she can achieve. Not only that but she really walks you through the process and explains it so well. Love the see her work getting some attention and praise!
Oh my god… thank you so much I can’t believe this right now ♥️♥️♥️
OMG im fudging screaming brad mondo PLEASE collab with guy tang 😍🤩😍
Are we gonna talk about how Brad didn’t realize that was Glam and Gore?!?!?
Literally no one is talking about this!
@@olw1229 RIIIIIIIIIIIGHT????? I SCROLLING
I knoooowwww!! Oh miss her voice..
I miss her videos, I had to go back and watch her Halloween list from years before since we missed this year's. Hopefully she's doing well
I know! I saw that and i was like,,, is that Mykie???? Miss that gal. Gotta go rewatch her videos honestly!
These color corrections were AMAZING! I loved Guy Tang's. But they were all gorgeous! To all my fellow hairdressers featured in this video, I strive for results like this! Keep it up!
Brad “I want that hair”
Also brad…. Literally sitting there with the same color hair 😂😂
Thought i was the only one who noticed 🤣
His shade is slightly warmer, no? Or is that just my screen 😅
I was looking for this comment lol
@@SwampRobin His color is definitely warmer. Brad has a lot more yellow tones in his hair right now, whereas the color he wants has more blue tones.
@@SwampRobin Nah you're right!! His is more yellow toned
Thanks, Brad, for finally showing work on a woman who isn't 25 years old.
i mean he found the video here on youtube lol u should explore it more often🤣
@Crissy yep i’m 27 and i’ve been done with box dye for a year. It’s so much easier to go to a professional (especially after i burned off my hair and had to cut it off entirely, wasting a ton of money in the process).
@Crissy as a 25 yo who is in that phase I can agree to that lol
That second person's was AMAZING. So beautiful. That last one gave me anxiety for a little while but omg was it perfection.
That was me, thank you
Omg you should definitely review Deeper Than Hair at some point! They have the most satisfying videos!
Yes she does!!
Definitely love 'Deeper Than Hair'.
I think he actually featured one of her videos on here before
Yesss! I lover her and her channel.
He featured her in a relaxer video.
i binged about a good 3-4 hair fail videos. so glad to be watching this one right now 😅😂❤
Guy Tang does amazing work, but honestly…I have to mute his videos to be able to watch them because he just stresses me out so badly. He’s so nutty and the way he speaks makes me really anxious 😂
Color corrections need to be a series
Like the second woman, my mom transitioned from coloring to growing out her silver hair awhile back and it suits her so well! BUTTTT recently she just put purple streaks into her bangs (by HERSELF!) and she looks even more beautiful! Wish I could post a picture!
purple with silver sounds so pretty!!
@@MarC-vg8sn it really suits her! I’ll see if she wants to be in any of my videos soon, so we can show it off!
I love this. Supporting your community of hairstylists and lifting others up is beautiful. Good karma baby!! ❤️✨
Hair school student checking in. Very refreshing video Brad ! It’s really nice to see people doing what ACTUALLY will fix people’s hair.
Obviously you being the absolute most positive person out there while still being honest without being crude is what really brings me up the most 💫 all of the positive affirmations, constantly lifting and teaching others just helps the soul recharge 💞
So happy to be alive to enjoy this era of Brad Mondo 🌌
I love this!!! Show more colour corrections so satisfying!!!!! Plus it makes me appreciate all the technical knowledge stylists have!!
Yea people do not realize how hard it can be to fix hair that is damaged or needs color correction. Its tricky stuff. These woman are so lucky and beautiful! I am truly astonished with those results!
My teenage daughters and I LOVE binge-watching your amazing, fun, helpful videos! Thank you for being YOU!
Please do more of these brad , it's so great to see when things go right and appreciate the skill.
As a hairdresser…That 3rd color zebra stripe mess made me want to unalive myself.
Lol
I personally wouldn’t do it. 😂😂😂🤣
Unalive myself is my new favorite way of saying kill myself.
As a human with hair I feel exactly the same way
Omg it brought me back to the early 2000's. Then made me cry as a hair dresser.

Brad: I want that color
Also Brad: *has that color*
Nothing stresses me out more than seeing the hair the 3rd lady walked in with.. What a *NIGHTMARE* for that hairstylist😂😭
Hair color is so technically complex. That’s why I’ve had the same colorist for 5 years now, she’s amazing! It’s worth it to go to a pro. It just is.
I agree it’s worth it going to a professional
Girl a pro still messed up my blue hair BAD and it was virgin lol.
More senior transformations please 👏🏼
AMEN! I loved that one! I asked him [on IG] to do more gray hair vids.
The last one with the platinum & darkish roots was perfection. Truly a magician hair colorist.
I gasped when I saw Mykie! Miss her, I hope she's doing better than the last update we got. Love her and her hair always
She posts often on instagram stories!
I thought the same!!
Same! I absolutely LOVE Mykie!
FANtastic work by each stylist/colourist. That last transformation was amazing, the client must've been over the moon with the final look.
more videos like this PLEASEEE. as a hairdresser this was almooosttt more satisfying than unprofessionals doing it lol. this is awesome. hairdressers are wizards.
Omg they did amazing you should definitely react to more of these kinds of videos I loved it
I had my hair bleached a year ago, dyed it pink and just experimented with fashion colours, the last colour I used was a grey/blue and the blue stayed in my hair for so long, by the time I finally got to the hairdressers (covid kept pushing my appointment back) I felt so bad bc the blue was still there, and she didn't even care, she got my hair to a BEAUTIFUL copper colour in one session (5 hours) and only charged me £100.
I totally understand that, like how do you go from a doll head to a human head?!? So overwhelming! How's it been for you?
@@BlessedToBeSaved333 I had to drop out due to complications with my work schedule unfortunately 😭BUT I plan on going back when I get a better schedule. I hope everything goes well for you though! Good luck and if anything just trust your gut
Guy and Mickey on your channel is such a fun experience. That grey look was 🔥. The 130 foils is why I don’t do hair anymore.
Mykie!!!! Was NOT expecting that!
Mykieee 😍 love seeing her in the first clip. Miss her on YT! ❤️
Me too. I was so happy and surprised to see her
Omg me too! I hardly recognized her.
she's racist af tho
@@QQ-cz2in Wtf, no.
That last transformation was nothing short of magic. She is an incredibly talented and hardworking stylist.
You are getting me through my covid isolation. Much love from UK
I love Guy's videos - he's so sweet and supportive to his clients and educational/instructional to his staff/viewers!
I wish u could see the transformation my hair has gone through the last yr... I was box black die once a month for 20 + yrs... I went through 4 separate appointments in just under a yr and went to blonde and now ash blonde for winter... totally in love and can say I will not go back to box die ever again... and I just ordered one of your shampoo kits to take care of it 🙂🙂🙂
Please do a video about toners. You always say not to use T18, but what toners SHOULD we use? For different levels can you show us what toners are best?
I want to go to my natural gray. I just don’t know how to find someone I can trust to do it. A famous stylist who does this is close by but he’s not taking new clients.
Great video. Thank you.
Maybe he knows someone can refer you?
Any good colourists can make you silver. It was a big trend for a few years so all of them have experience. I had my hairdresser do it a few years ago and it turned out great. If you do it, don't go back for pro toning, it will lighten and damage the new growth..Celeste in Venice on youtube has a warning vid on this. Just let your natural grey come in and use purple shampoo and/or conditioners. Won't be perfect but your hair will thank you. I had lots of fun with manic panic purple mixed with conditioner. And before you know it, you'll be in the silver fox club! I've never had so many compliments! :)
Do a test strand from the bottom back underneath of your hair, if you like how it turned out take your time and do it yourself!
@@unavoidablycanadian397 he sent a short and sweet message that he’s not taking new clients and not referring to anyone. 😕 It was odd. I asked my husband to look at my original message to see if there was something off putting in it and there wasn’t. I was just asking to make an appointment and stated that I lived close by. Many of his clients come from around the country. 🤷🏽♀️
@@Lisa-dy1fr I’m new to the area so that’s why I’m not sure who a “good colorist” is. My natural color is/was a very dark brown, very close to black. Now it’s mostly gray with some pepper. It’s also very stubborn and easily turns orange if not colored properly. I guess I’ll post in my community page and see what I get. Thank you for the tips!
Wow. Second lady is making me excited to eventually go grey. And third one is just crazy 😜 attention to detail man holy crap they didn’t skip any corners
Love Brad 💙♥️.. one day I'll be able to get my hands on one of your hair colors ❤️❤️ such a huge fan..

i’m a baby stylist so watching all of the amazing stylist transform people just makes me want to learn so much more so that i can get to this level 💕
When I saw Mykie in the first video, I started crying. I miss her videos so much.
I do too and it sucks, but I just can’t support someone who is comfortable being a closet racist :/ she left TH-cam for medical reasons but after being pitted she kinda just stayed off the platform
Every time i watch video for this amazing man im trying hard to maintain calm and keep the tears away. My best gey friend was exacly like Brad full of passion, spirit and so amazing sense of humor. We meet in our late teens in the hairdresser school! But he passed away unfortunatelly by an accident. I miss him every single day. Sorry for the sad comment and for my terrible english. Apparently english arent my birth language! Love you Brad i really do i wish i was close to you so you can personally make my hair!
THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT VIDEO! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing what can be done and appreciated your commentary and explanations. Thank you SO MUCH!
Mykie is so beautiful!!!! She makes any color hair that she does look soooo good.
OK… can we just talk about the first girl’s EYEBROWS!!!!! They MATCH!!!!!!! in multiple COLORS!!!! Literally those colors were perfect for her skin tone. Guy Tang, you are a color WIZARD.
He is amazing and it looks great.... But her eyebrows are fake. Sorry I didn't want to make it less magical lol but she shaves her eyebrows, it's just a colored eyeliner. But it does look great. 😁
She's a youtuber, her name is Mykie from glam and gore. She draws on her eyebrows in different colours to match her hair every time she wears a wig or changes her hair colour because her hair is so faint you literally can't see it, she usually always mentions it in her videos
She is make up artist. She did that makeup look to match her hair.
