A guy was parachuting, dropping candy all over my neighborhood as he went back and forth across the sky. My son had been in the yard and ran in, saying candy was falling from the sky 😂 I watched the guy coming closer, we were waving back and forth, it was fun... Right up until he hit the power lines and knocked himself and the power out. Thankfully he only fell a few feet when the chute untangled, but I think he broke his ankle. That was my first and only call to 911. He gave my son the rest of the candy he was going to give to anyone who saw him land 😂 His chase team finally found him when the ambulance arrived. To this day, I still don't know what he was advertising, but recall him saying the pay wasn't worth the pain. He had a good sense of humor for having just barely missed saying goodbye forever.
8:47 when my 21 year old son was 13, he had ear surgery. When he came out of anesthesia, he confidently informed his nurse, “I’m not Nikki Minaj.” 😂😂😂He was a 5’6” skinny white boy. 😅
wasps are evil. almost every year for 4 years during spring i would get stung going between my apartment building and another. super aggressive for a few weeks.
@Dirk_Berserk The thing is that studies show that wasps have decent memory, so if one sees you as the vaguest threat, it will remember your face and sting you whenever it sees you.
1:46 that's so me. I won't laugh if someone falls or gets hit. I'm so empathetic I feel their pain. Glad to see Dr. Mike is like that as well a good quality in a doctor.
Bees are fluffy and cute, they only sting if they feel threatened and it typically kills them. Wasps and hornets are the devil incarnate. They will sting you because they can and they will do it multiple times. They are not fluffy and they do not die
This show was my childhood. My family and I would always watch this whenever it was on TV. It was a tradition. Haven’t seen it in ages though, so I’m excited to watch again.
please please react to unbroken!! it’s a very inspiring true story about Louis Zamperini who was a olympic track athlete who had to quit track to join the military in WWII and his plane crashes and he and two friends are stranded on a life raft for 47 days surviving on nothing and then the Japanese capture them and torture him for 2 years. i would love to hear your medical insight on the injuries he had at sea and in the POW camps edit 1: here is the actual movie description: “As a boy, Louis "Louie" Zamperini is always in trouble, but with the help of his older brother, he turns his life around and channels his energy into running, later qualifying for the 1936 Olympics. When World War II breaks out, Louie enlists in the military. After his plane crashes in the Pacific, he survives an incredible 47 days adrift in a raft, until his capture by the Japanese navy. Sent to a POW camp, Louie becomes the favorite target of a particularly cruel prison commander”
As a student physical therapist assistant, the crutch advice is spot on! To properly measure for axillary crutches, you want at least 2 fingers in between the axlliary region and the top of the crutch. Also, when measuring, you want the crutches 2" lateral and 6" anterior to the foot; this ebsures that the crutches rae fitted properly.
Is there an advantage for this type of crutch compared to elbow crutches? In my country I've only ever seen people use elbow crutches (and I've used them myself when I had a knee injury). I always thought that the advantage of the American style crutches was that you could support your weight on them with your axillary cavity, but if the advise is to keep at least two fingers between axillary and the crutches, then I guess that is not the case.
I can totally relate to the bee sting guy. I was doing yard work and cutting brush. I encountered a ground nest of yellow jackets. They chased me all around the yard, stinging me as we went, until I finally got the can of bee spray from my vehicle and started blasting a cloud of bee spray around myself. Of course not without getting spray in my eye as well....
6:27 Neuroscientist here, we recently linked sleeping patterns to brain wave activity during sleep (Which is linked with a multitude of disorders including Alzheimer’s) if you snore please get a sleep test and a cpap machine if you can afford it, you will thank yourself greatly!
I once woke up from flat feet surgery bawling my eyes out about people that don't love me. And my granddad being dead. My dad said that someone loves me and it's him and proceeded to cackle. I wasn't yet diagnosed autistic.
Im deadd i never imagined doctor mike saying “BOMBASTIC SIDE EYE” and its so good😂😂✨🙏love ya man your content and seeing you is what makes me through the day/week 🤍🙏
The one at 10:20 - I've done that before, using the band for bicep curls. Band hit my eye and gave me weird vision for a couple weeks. It was not a great time.
Man, I remember watching AFV back in the 2000s when Tom Bergeron was the host. Good times! I didn’t know it’s still on. 😅 Also, hopefully, Doctor Mike will react to *Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective* when it comes out.
As someone who has fractured their sacrum/tail bone and was more or less bed ridden to heal for 6 months, I can say from my personal experience, that is defiantly one of the worst bones to break. And if you DO get injured there, 100% get PT for it. I skipped it at the time, and now about 15 years later I'm still regretting not getting it at the time.
I was having the worst week my bus got hit by a car then I had a seizure while I was at school then my periods started and i'm so sore because no one warned me that seizures make your limbs feel heavy and sore but your videos always make me feel better thank you.♥♥♥♥
It can, but I find that most of the time when I vomit, my throat and mouth have a thick coat of mucus. When that happens, the esophagus also gets the mucus coating
My upstairs neighbor snores so bad that we can hear her in my appartement. We had to move our bedroom in a other room because we couldn't sleep. 😅 my other neighbor living on the same floor as her, sleeps with earplugs and white noise machine.
Bees, wasps , ants, termites and hornets are all part of the same family. Honey bees can only sting once but hornets and wasps can sting multiple times.
It's so funny that you now what occurs in a bee/wasp sting but not that they are totally different creatures, it just goes to show that we all "know what we know!"
Hi Dr. Mike, I was wondering if I should be worried about doing the kitty litter every other day because in one of your videos you explained that you can get a type of disease or infection etc. Just wondering.
A guy was parachuting, dropping candy all over my neighborhood as he went back and forth across the sky. My son had been in the yard and ran in, saying candy was falling from the sky 😂

3:00 "gonna freak the nurse out?? That's rude!" *Smiles big excited to see it, laughs when it happens* "id be pissed" 😂
The difference between bees and wasps is that bees are a lot more reluctant to sting you wasps can and will hunt you down to make your life worse.
And a bee can only sting you once, while a wasp can sting you multiple times🙈
wasps are evil. almost every year for 4 years during spring i would get stung going between my apartment building and another. super aggressive for a few weeks.
Bees are a group of wasps though. When you think about wasps, you usually think about the genus Vespula and not stuff like fairyflies or cuckoo wasps.
@Dirk_Berserk The thing is that studies show that wasps have decent memory, so if one sees you as the vaguest threat, it will remember your face and sting you whenever it sees you.
@BrankoVT Nope! Wasps are wasps and bees are bees😊 two different spieces😊
1:46 that's so me. I won't laugh if someone falls or gets hit. I'm so empathetic I feel their pain. Glad to see Dr. Mike is like that as well a good quality in a doctor.
Why did I find "Are wasp bees!?" Funny 😭
Phylogenetically, bees are wasps. You can't make a monophyletic group with all the wasps that excludes bees and ants.
0:56 knows everything about medicine knows not so much about nature 🤣
Bees are fluffy and cute, they only sting if they feel threatened and it typically kills them.
Wasps and hornets are the devil incarnate. They will sting you because they can and they will do it multiple times. They are not fluffy and they do not die
2:50, probably one of the most adorable babies I've ever seen
The “are wasps bees?” Physically hurt as someone who loves bees 😭 /hj
8:53 bombastic side eye👹🇫🇷
What the hell was that 😂😂

"Are hornets bees?"
Hornets are not bees.
"But they're the same color, same style, same outfits" 😂
“Aww, grandma’s a treasure” 😂 5:19
Bees sting and then die . Wasps bite and bite and bite again
Wasps sting too. You wouldn't feel their bite.
And Bumblebees as well (don't know if the myth that they don't is as prominent in the US of A)
Been a year😢
Edit since i haven't been clear : It's been a year since i watched his videos
Agreed
😳 AMONGUS!!

I have a question. I know stomach acid doesn't damage its walls because of mucous membrane. But shouldn't it damage the oesophagus if a person vomits?
It can, but I find that most of the time when I vomit, my throat and mouth have a thick coat of mucus. When that happens, the esophagus also gets the mucus coating
it takes time to deal damage. If your stomach fluids come out the wrong end regularly you can neutralize it with a base. but do not overdose 😅
I have a spirometry appointment every three months. At my last appointment my asthma doctor prescribed new medications, they work a lot.

For the skydiving one, they really do stress to not make any turns below 300ft (we wear altimeters), you don't turn but you incline dive.
That's always been my fear of those head massagers!
Bees lose their stinger when they sting, hornets, wasps and yellow jackets don't
I was rated Grizzly bear on the Sleep apnea test
Bees, wasps , ants, termites and hornets are all part of the same family. Honey bees can only sting once but hornets and wasps can sting multiple times.

Hi Dr. Mike, I was wondering if I should be worried about doing the kitty litter every other day because in one of your videos you explained that you can get a type of disease or infection etc. Just wondering.
As one of those who are deathly allergic to wasps 🙈 i carry an epipen and betapred tablets all the time in spring and summer🙈😂
How old is bear?
they all have wings - they are bees.
Hornets are wasps. Bees are bees. Ants, bees and wasps are part of the same family. All can cause allergies from their stings (yes, ants sting.)
hornets, bees, wasps, yellow jackets are all arthropods but are different species
