Pretty sure the first lady could have just spent her money on a professional rather than all those dye kits. I loved how she was chopping off random bits of hair for strand tests and then her actual hair was so uneven 😂. I loved her DGAF attitude! ❤

@@brianda5793those same store box dye kits have only ever been $5-$10 in my area so for me it’s still way cheaper than the salon, I’ve done great bleach and box dye jobs for less than $40 every single time

As someone who had black hair naturally, I got gray hair when I was still in high school and now I’m in my 30s and I would say at least half of my hair is gray. It’s hard to figure out what color you will get when it comes to hair dye on gray hair. I would like to see a video from Brad on the subject of dying gray hair.
Loreal box dye is great for grey hair, I have coloured my mums hair (grey and white mix) and it always turns out really good. Just remember it gets much lighter than on the box, and you will have different shades, but it looks natural if you use colours like copper and gold blond/brown.
(I’ve done it for years.)
My mum uses Biokap box die since years and always got amazing results. I actually originally thought dying your hair is really easy, cuz my mum is the type of woman who doesn't do makeup, skincare amd isn't too much into beauty. Still, she always had glorious hair, she varied from blond to copper to dark red to brunette

i’m in cosmetology school, and I learned this hack of taking a picture of your hair and level finder swatches side by side and then turning the picture black and white to see what level the hair is at so I know what level to use for toning ✨

@@AguilarbgWhen you want to pick a color to dye your hair with you just take the picture of the swatches of the dyes you want and turn them black an white and compare the « brightness » with your own hair in black in white to see if it is the same « brightness », if it’s the same it’ll work well for your hair cause levels are the same but if it’s lighter than your hair it won’t work unless you bleach beforehand (or use high developer to lift your hair half a level 1 level or so but that’s it)

Its cuz of monetization. They getting views likes and revenue for their stupidity. If it wasnt for that ... we would never have these videos as they would never post their misfortunes for nothing.
@@AnnaSa92Hopefully you’ll try a hairdresser again because a good hairdresser will make you feel like a goddess by the time you’re done with your appointment. Three great ways to find a great hairstylist are 1) asking friends, 2) ask on Nextdoor, 3) ask people that you run into in public that have stunning hair.

Uhm they definitely don't. Do you know how expensive it is to dye your hair at a good salon these days? Like $150 minimum (probably more than that since she has thick hair). I bet she spent no more than $60. Where do y'all live where getting your entire head lightened is that cheap?

@@ryanallen2647 oh geez.🙄 I knew it was BS. But how are they getting away with saying that their white blonde hair dye can turn your black hair into that white color with one box.? HA!
If it's anything like their Blondme stuff it probably does work, but for long hair it'll take more than one box for sure lol I use the Blondme line religiously for my naturally black hair and it works phenomenally (and smells so nice)
I hope there’s at least a disclaimer that this is only applicable to naturally dark hair 😭
No Box Dye can turn DARK BLONDE hair WHITE much less Black or Dark Brown. Getting Blonde or Bleached hair to Brown without Reddish Tones needs a MATTE or Green / Green Blue Base.

a thing to do if you dont wanna spend a crap ton of money to get your hair done 9/10 recommend going to a teaching salon (cosmo school salon) alot cheaper and still better then if you do it yourself, and it helps students like me get better at doing hair!

As a Colour Specialist, I recommend the Second Lady just pops into a salon and ask a stylist to tone her hair with a level 6 (add half a drop of pure green) process for 15-18mims and viola.
Colouring isn’t complexed but a lot of hairdressers struggle with simple corrections and complicate things.

I’ve actually bleached (thin sections, with foils, 1 session), toned and cut my level 4 hair to a mullet. At home. Following your advice. Wouldn’t have been possible without listening to you 100 times telling me all those things over and over. Burning it into my memory. I was surprised how well it turned out. Not a single spotting, no hot roots 😭💗🩵 can’t wait to fly over in September and pick up a couple of your products. Greetings and thanks from GER 🦄

I highly recommend giving yourself a daily ego boost as well. 🥰 Everytime I look at myself in the mirror, I say positive affirmations. It was difficult at first, but overtime I now genuinely believe what I am telling myself and life is so much better having self love and self confidence. 💗 So I am sharing what worked for me hoping that it will have the same results for you overtime as well. Hi, Brad. Love your videos and have learned so much over the years. Somethings I have always wondered are: What is the worst hair situation you ever had to work with in terms of clients coming into the salon? And what is the biggest complaint someone has ever had after working with you on their hair? You're such an amazing person and have done so much to teach people how to treat their hair, so I can't believe anyone would have a complaint about your work.

Poor second girl went through all that trauma and she just wanted brown hair 😭
I use the brush to section, because I don’t have a rat tail comb. And I use the brush part on my roots to really get in there. Everything else? Squeeze bottle, and gloved hands and make sure it’s saturated.
I do the exact same. First ultra precise. Straight parting. And then, just slather it on the rest.
Same. I brush the color on, but having one tool I don't put down lessens the potential for mess.

I was in a mood today and this video was exactly what I needed. Thank you for making me belly laugh!!!
I used to be even more chaotic than the first girl: at some point I decided to try and bleach my hair with peroxide (the disinfectant, not the actual hair product) and some baking soda. It seemed fun and harmless but it actually wrecked my hair and made it bright red and patchy.
A few weeks later I was tired with my curls so I did a Brazilian blowout at home. Twice.
Also, at some point I cut my own bangs with nail clippers cause I'm unhinged and it seemed like fun.
It took 3 years and many haircuts to have my natural hair color and texture back and I'm absolutely in love with it, however part of me will never forget how fun it was to mess up my own hair.
Like, seriously why must it be so fun???

I do my own hair for 13 years now and I gotta say I absolutely hate brushes. I use them on the roots and to put the dye on the hair, then I use my hands to spread it through the hair strand. it's much easier, cleaner and you can feel where it needs a bit more of attention or a retouch
