Try using a rose gold or baby pink color to cancel the mint green. Red & Green cancel each other, pink is diluted red so it'll cancel pastel green. You can do it really quick on the pieces that's green & wash out. It usually turns a little purpley

This channel has kept me from trying to attempt things on my hair at home beyond semi-permanent dye. Granted, my hairdresser is baffled why I come in only 2x a year. (I just really like how she cuts my hair and it only really becomes a problem when it gets really long)
As my own personal colourist, I’ve watched enough brad to know you just need to be okay dying your hair green instead of whatever vision you had and nothing will ever go wrong 😅
I’ll never cease to be amazed by the optimism and determination of some people in getting fully unobtainable hair results lol. Like there are so many things I’d never consider possible even if I really wanted it. But faced with the same thing, those people are already driving to Sally’s lol. You almost have to admire the tenacity, even if it means they walk around looking like a hot mess for weeks because of it. I used to have green split dyed hair and when I was ready to be done with it, I just knew I had to wait for it to grow out long enough to cut the green side off in a bob. Because I knew there would be no way to perfectly remove the green, colour match my natural hair, and not have any patches or bands for less than several hundreds of dollars.
BRAD please please do a color removing test with box blonde dye. It has to be a box dye that advertises working on darker hair, I.E. a 'high lift' box dye. I know for a fact that's what saved the girl with the red/pink front pieces. I use it to remove blue/green staining in my own hair, too.
If you mix peroxide (acidic) and baking soda (basic), it makes the mixture neutral. She effectively put water pulp on her hair (depending on the ratios).
Changing pH isn't the only chemical reaction. The hydrogen peroxide opens the cuticles and the sodium bicarbonate cleans the pores of the dye. Results vary.
Ehhh I wouldn’t use this on my hair again. It dried my hair out so badly almost worst than bleach. And it turned my natural level 3/4 in an copper orangey brown color.
I love Crystal Lindy SO SO SO much, I’ve been subbed to her for years and amazes me how often she changes her hair, she changes her hair literally every month and it’s always something crazy, vibrant and beautiful but she’s always frying and damaging her beautiful hair lol. AKA Aislinn does the vitamin C mixture for hair color removal all the time and it seems to really work! She said that you have to do like 3 rounds usually for it to start really pulling the color and she uses a heat pad while it's processing.
I'm interested to see him react to some of her videos and hear his thoughts on them. coming back to add that i would like to see the two of them have a discussion about it because AKA Aislinn says the vitamin C method works well and Brad thinks it doesn't at all.
I think Aislin has a leg up on some of these people because she used to be a hairdresser or something like that. She seems to have a little more knowledge than the average person.
Brad noooo!!! Honestly that was an amazing idea to extend your merchandise. Definitely make t-shirts that say "don't start with the roots. I love it. X
Little hairdresser tip! A good help for removing light green at home is using ketchup, leaving it on maybe 15-20 minutes can help neutralize a bit! (I recommend using hot water before to open the cuticles and then rub the ketchup in real good). Obviously in salon I wouldn’t do this, pulling out the Heinz wouldn’t be the most professional thing lmao but it’s a good at home tip!
CACKLING over the idea of being in a hairdresser chair and they pull out a bottle of Heinz, give it a shake, and then squirt it ALLLLL over my head 💀 I think I'd be in shock
Honest question, why not just get a semipermanent red-toned dye though…? It’ll condition the hair and I image feel nicer than ketchup, plus you can dilute it with regular conditioner
I had manic panic pink hair and did the baking soda, 20 developer, purple shampoo, dish soap mix… removed all of my pink!!! I did it a second time to remove some final pink hue streaks and bam! Blonde again! Put in a mask after and my hair looked great! No damage 🙌🏻❤️ it works!
Fully convinced box dye in the UK and here in Ireland must be a higher quality than in the US. Just always seem to come out well on the Brits on your bleach reacts videos.
Yeah, I agree. I'm in the UK. I used to use box dye all the time when I was younger. Loads of different colours and sometimes drastically different from the last colour and people often thought it was my natural colour after dying it. I now know never to attempt to use a box dye in the US if I ever happen to be over there for any period of time. The ones over there seem scary.
I had Xmondo teal in my hair which looked amazing. I had the majority of the teal out of my hair in a week by adding baking soda to my shampoo every day of the week. Yes it makes your hair a little dry, but it gets the job done. I wish everyone knew about this. A hair stylist told me to do it before she would highlight my hair.
I used baking soda and peroxide on my natural hair and it lightened it significantly with no damage. It wasn’t a pretty color (super brassy) but I wanted to dye it magenta/pink so it was perfect.
I used this too. But it dried my hair out so badly. It lightened but it made my hair like a really orangey copper brown. Not pretty at all and it took all the shine out.
You definitely want to use a color remover specifically for direct dyes when removing those bright colors. It adheres to the bonds in those colors differently than oxidative colors and their designated removers
The funniest thing is this is an old vid of Lindy and she's just tried to remove blue again and she completely effed up so she did red 😂❤. Love her though her energy is so funny ❤💖
✨✨Brad! I would love love if you did a tutorial on how to do a root and end glaze! I was watching your video on how to color your hair from 3 years ago and you mentioned it in the video as something you can do to create a shadow root!
I currently have a part violet part white pixie hair so I can’t judge anyone’s hair mistakes lol Also, Brad! I NEED a tutorial on your haircut!! I love it!!!
Crytal Lindy's heterchromea is super pretty. With the teal hair and her pale complexion, it's all very cohesive. Also the accent and energy, great vibes all around.
People constantly complain about Color Oops smelling like eggs. The reason for that is because it uses Sulphur. A great way to keep the smell from lingering (I've done this myself and it works great and doesn't cost a lot) is to use a clarifying shampoo when you're rinsing it out. Lather rinse and repeat numerous times. This will remove the chemicals/mixture, and the residue which holds the smell. Keep in mind though that any color remover product can leave the hair a little dry when everything is done. Use a conditioning packet, or extra conditioner in coming days, and you should be fine.
I've had good results with 1000 mg pure ascorbic acid. If it says vitamin C, it's a different mixture. People keep saying they're the same but they're not. I've done vitamin C cleanse - with pure ascorbic acid and nothing else in it. If you do vitamin C, you won't be leaving your bathroom and will have a gnarly experience. I mix about 1/4 cup with a cup or two of shampoo...just a regular shampoo. Not head and shoulders because it's too drying and I'm never sure if the antifungal will counteract with the ascorbic acid. I dye my purple black/blue black, occasionally burgundy black. It works for me in that it lifts just enough for me to get another black on it. Last time, it removed so much black. It works for me. Also, my hair loves the ascorbic acid. It just makes it smooth and soft.
Has Brad had his nose done kinda recently? It’s looking a lot more refined than my memory of it before (I remember because mine was similar). It looks great!
I literally had to use color oops yesterday because I dyed my hair brown and it was way too dark for my liking, and it worked sooo well. Yes, it smells like rotten eggs but it’s worth it cause it gets the dye out of your hair without bleach!
19:00 there’s loads of examples of the vitamin C treatment working. The fabulous AKA Aislinn has loads of videos and many examples of how she removes rainbow and goes back platinum using the method.
Curly girl here- I used the peroxide and baking soda method for my virgin hair because I wanted to go lighter (black to brown) without bleach and it looked amazing! It can start to make your hair look a tad orange though so far warning
I did this in high school. Definitely made my hair brassy and I couldn’t get rid of that brassy from the age of 17-24. I had to regrow all my hair out LOL. It did look cute though.
Brad, I had a literal nightmare the other night that you were telling me my hair was overprocessed and badly toned (and in the dream it definitely was), and I woke up so upset before remembering my nightmare hair is not, in fact, my real life hair, which is awesome. So... you got that going for you. Lol
When I was in military training, there was a gal with dark hair. She tried to bleach it blond and it turned canary yellow and was straw. She tried to recolor her hair back to black. Her hair turned blue. New name,Smurfett. The Drill Sargents wanted her to fix it but the beauty salons wouldn’t touch it.
I put black box dye on my hair and I left the underneath layer blonde. I bleached it a week or two ago and it was an awful color 😂 my roots were blonde then the rest was orange and pink from the red pigment I had left in my hair before the black. I put purple on it and it’s fine 😂
@@Treaks1981 update: my hair is faded blueish green from the purple having a blue undertone and I got a pool and the chlorine is turning it green 🤦🏽♀️ Brad help! Should I put an orange toner on it and do it coppery blonde? I have a wedding I have to be in next weekend 😂
At this point it’s all about fucking my hair up to the point brad roasts me but then calls me beautiful regardless is an entire life goal at this point ❤😂
My purple shampoo ran out two days before a wedding, so I used gentian violet. Ended up purple. I panicked, washed with green dish soap a few times which helped, then made a mixture of baking soda and 20 volume and voila, blonde again
Im a hairdresser. I had blue hair I used crazy colour back to base its brilliant if used properly. Crazy colour back to base with 20vol is actually a good shout for anyone wanting to remove fashion colours. Its brilliant stuff! FYI it isn’t a bleach!
It is, the first two ingredients are potassium persulfate and ammonium persulfate. Besides if it wasn't a lightener how did it lighten Lindy's roots? There's nothing wrong with using lightener to remove fashion colours, from experience colour removers like colour oops do FA for fashion colours and it even says on the box that it's not intended for fashion colours.
@@faithphoenix3999 most products of colour contain those ingredients. Back to base isn’t a bleaching agent. Its bleach free. If it was bleach it would say bleach hair colour remover and it wouldn’t exist as you’d only need well pointing out the obvious bleach. Colour removers can lighten roots especially if your using peroxide, peroxide is what lifts the base. Back to Base is good if your using it properly and understand how to use it safely, im a hair dresser of 8 yrs I understand the product well, iv used it plenty and always been successful. The only colour it seems to d nothing with is RED. If I ever get red I use revlon’s colour remover as that is good at removing a red tones, for every removing service bleach isn’t always a solution
I’ve always used baking soda, 20 vol developer, tiny bit of dish soap, and purple shampoo for semi permanent and color oops for permanent dye. It has always worked for me after doing 10+ colors. Though obviously the baking soda method is super drying and I’ve had to do a lot of hair masks afterwards
I did that to try and remove semi-permanent purple hair dye that was so washes out it was a pale lavender, bordering on silver. I was trying to take out the rest of the purple so I could get an ashy, silvery blonde. The results... Were bright teal 😂 Like the color Lindy started with. Even tho I didn't hate it, I was stuck with that color until it faded 2 months later and dyed it a purplish pink after bleaching my roots so it would all be even. After 3 more months, MANY conditioning treatments and a couple of trims, my hair is back to normal and it's currently bright fuscia.
@@aliyahpulido953 that is crazy. I’ve never had anything like that happen. It may have to do with porosity or just hair health. You can never fully guess how it’ll work out in the end. Pretty much hope for the best lol

Make the ‘Don’t start at the roots’ shirt please 😂❤
I currently have a part violet part white pixie hair so I can’t judge anyone’s hair mistakes lol
Also, Brad! I NEED a tutorial on your haircut!! I love it!!!
That scarf DID something to you and it was fun to watch👏☺️
"I don't do many things straight but I do my parting straight" 😂😂😂had me in tears. Thanks for that Brad 😅😊
I can watch these all day
Brads gonna be the reason my hair never is damaged and neither is my confidence
Bridgette is great! She always changes the color of her hair. Sometimes its a rocky path but she always gets to a nice color.
Has Brad had his nose done kinda recently? It’s looking a lot more refined than my memory of it before (I remember because mine was similar). It looks great!
It’s probably just makeup 😅
@@No_Name_Sage makeup doesn’t removal dorsal humps
@@anditspaganpoetry oh, idk then 🤷♀️
There's something different right??
I been wondering the same thing since last few vids.
Your videos are great!! 🎉😊 But I have to know what's the funny sound in all those videos? I'm obsessed with it xD
Lindy actually made this look good in the end!
So in addition to hair styling from Brad, now I need to know if I should do scarves or not in my wardrobe
Missed you Brad! i’ve been binging and obsessed with your channel lately haha so it’s good to seen new videos
It’s Mondo Monday!! My favorite TH-camr🫶🏼
I literally had to use color oops yesterday because I dyed my hair brown and it was way too dark for my liking, and it worked sooo well. Yes, it smells like rotten eggs but it’s worth it cause it gets the dye out of your hair without bleach!
I love color oops too!
It ruined my hair, I had orange roots and the smell lasted 2 weeks but I tried at least
@@Katherine_xs oh no :( I’m sorry it didn’t work for you.
This used to be the only method here since bleach wasn't available, so people acted like they meant for the hair to be yellow or orange
Peroxide bleaches your hair, you don't need baking soda ( which is bad for your hair and scalp)
I love that ur so experimental with your outfits❤💅
Brad, I had a literal nightmare the other night that you were telling me my hair was overprocessed and badly toned (and in the dream it definitely was), and I woke up so upset before remembering my nightmare hair is not, in fact, my real life hair, which is awesome. So... you got that going for you. Lol
Brad i love your hair such a vibeeee
When I was in military training, there was a gal with dark hair. She tried to bleach it blond and it turned canary yellow and was straw. She tried to recolor her hair back to black. Her hair turned blue. New name,Smurfett. The Drill Sargents wanted her to fix it but the beauty salons wouldn’t touch it.
Brad you are looking so lovely, you’re GLOWING ❤
I put black box dye on my hair and I left the underneath layer blonde. I bleached it a week or two ago and it was an awful color 😂 my roots were blonde then the rest was orange and pink from the red pigment I had left in my hair before the black. I put purple on it and it’s fine 😂
😂
OMG, Brad, you made me just about spit my food when you said "I don't do too many things straight"!!! 🤣🤣
Love you 💜
That soap method messed my hair up for years
That Emergen-C and dish soap trick. I resorted to that when bleach and color remover failed and it worked.
Brad, as a young lady who likes to knit and crochet, might I just say I LOVE your top today 😍
