I remember the first time I hit that mushy noodles stage. I had no idea what it was. Even worse, it was back in the early 90s before we could watch bleach tutorials. I also didn't want to ask anyone what it was because I wanted the junior and seniors to think that I was cool and admitting that I need help would obviously make me uncool. It was also my first buzzcut which was considered super cool by the older students.
The only good thing about having a hereditary illness that fucks up your collagen production is that my hair is so freaking elastic that it has somehow survived me going from dark brown to white. I swear it would have hit noodle stage at one point in the fourth bleach, but no, it still looks it's somewhat healthy self.

I did a lot of research on products & got everything i need from sally’s. called up a friend last month & after 2 (spread apart) bleach & toning sessions I went from OLD box dyed dark brown to ash silver. it’s not perfect but once I tone it again & dye it the icy silver-blue i’m going for it’ll be BOMB.
@@hiphiphoogray Plan for doing two stages, back/under, and top/front. This way you aren't rushing through either part and aren't washing half your head halfway through. Get help if you can, especially if you don't have mirrors to see.
I wonder how many of the bleach jobs end up going to a professional to fix their hair? The fact that Brad is blown away because to final outcome was not what he expected, makes me suspicious of the process. He’s a professional, he’s seen a lot happen, so I don’t think these ladies achieved that outcome in their own.

I watched as many Brad mondo bleach fail videos as possible and surprisingly, did an excellent job bleaching my own very long brunette hair (I did use T18 though lmao). Now, when I just recently bleached my several month grow out, I messed up by not leaving it on long enough… and now I have my work cut out for me 😂.

The first girls looked good bc the lilac dye just toned it to a nice cool toned medium blonde. That’s how I used to tone my hair, with purple semi permanent dye mixed with conditioner, if it’s light enough it won’t deposit any purple color it’ll just looked nice and toned!! And it’s way more moisturizing and good for your hair compared to toner with developer in it!
I've been toning my hair to a sort of rose gold shade using cheap temporary dyes and conditioner for months now, it works really well and my hair is now permanently soft and smells of the conditioner I used.
I know how McKenna did. She got he hair fixed by a professional and then bam! Good results. It looks too good, no spots, no nothing to have been fixed with lilac semi permanent color. BS.
When my sister decided to bleach her hair mid covid lockdown, she asked me for tips. I sent her a link to Brad's channel xD she still managed to fry her hair. Ah well. Hopefully she won't try it again any time soon.

As someone who has been chaotically doing my hair for 5 years, I can tell you with absolute certainty that this method releases a very powerful magic that allows hair to defy all expectations and survive in a decent (maybe different than expected) way.
I don’t dye my hair at home anymore, but I did religious for about 5 years or so… and I just gotta say, I miss this kind of chaos in my life :-/ kinda makes me wanna do it again LOL
The first girl just kept neutralizing her hair color . I was going to attempt to type it out but it got really long. Suffice it say, the result actually makes sense if you think of it in terms of color theory. She used pale dyes so they were depositing small bits of pigment and she was effectively toning her hair with dye. Pretty cool idea there and could save some people some damage if they can figure it out for their personal cases.
I feel like Brad needs to do a "brunette to bleach blonde journey" with someone, so people can see the correct way to go about this. The right products, length of time etc x

Ladies please help me with this. We NEED brad to put on a long haired darkish wig, and attempt to bleach and color the hair. Brad's videos are a HUGE part of the reason why we didn't use bleach when my daughter wanted to try purple hair. We used Punky Color semipermanent. I read a TON about how to get it to show up well on dark brunette hair. (Best advice: chelating shampoo and swimming in a chlorinated pool.) Then... we did a swatch test to make sure she liked it. Only after ALL of that did we dye her hair a beautiful fuchsia purple. She rocks it.
I've been researching purple dyes for my next do' and I've seen from reviews that arctic foxes "girls night" is a pastel, and it's VERY faint so it was said that you need super level 10, white hair practically for it to even show up so, as soon as she said that I knew there'd be no result. Not her fault. She's gonna have to go for a deeper purple!

I had a nightmare bleaching and ruining my hair like girls in many of these videos. Waking up and realising that my hair is still healthy made me feel the most grateful I had ever felt.
I did my first bleach bath today to lighten my medium brown ends, before dying it again, so it could have just a bit of dimension, and it worked like a charm. 15 minutes is all I needed because I had bleached hair under the most of it, and now the new color really sat on well. Watching Brad teached you stuff 🤣

Box dye black to Daenerys platinum blonde using 16 bottles of box dye bleach, 3 sessions in 2 days with zero breakage! During the pandemic I decided I wanted to go from red…I’ve dyed my hair RED, RED for several years & wanted to go back to blonde, my natural. Started with color remover which surprisingly took me to a pale strawberry blonde. Then I did a strand test, timed it out & ended up with an even level 9 blonde. It was great…but eventually…as we all do, well some of us😂😂😂 I fucked it up. Breakage, some banding, the whole 9…anyway, a year later had a color correction, root shadow, and full platinum card. The only way I know how to section my hair is horizontally. That’s what I do to blow dry, curl, straighten. It’s nice to know it would’ve came in handy but I stopped coloring 2yrs ago & I’m living my best grey life.
I've tried using Arctic Fox's Girls Night a couple of times. The last time I used it, my hair was about a level 8 with barely any yellow and my results yielded a really nice non metallic cool rose gold. NEVER did my hair actually turn lilac. Aparently you need a level 10 Targaryen blond to achieve that color. On the plus side. It makes a really great toner.

The first girl just kept neutralizing her hair color . I was going to attempt to type it out but it got really long. Suffice it say, the result actually makes sense if you think of it in terms of color theory. She used pale dyes so they were depositing small bits of pigment and she was effectively toning her hair with dye. Pretty cool idea there and could save some people some damage if they can figure it out for their personal cases.

He must do all steps bleaching, washing, drying, dying, ect while keeping the wig on. So maybe he can feel our struggle and better our failures. Brad's videos are a HUGE part of the reason why we didn't use bleach when my daughter wanted to try purple hair.
We used Punky Color semipermanent. I read a TON about how to get it to show up well on dark brunette hair. (Best advice: chelating shampoo and swimming in a chlorinated pool.) Then... we did a swatch test to make sure she liked it.
Only after ALL of that did we dye her hair a beautiful fuchsia purple. She rocks it.

I've been researching purple dyes for my next do' and I've seen from reviews that arctic foxes "girls night" is a pastel, and it's VERY faint so it was said that you need super level 10, white hair practically for it to even show up so, as soon as she said that I knew there'd be no result. Not her fault. She's gonna have to go for a deeper purple!

I had a nightmare bleaching and ruining my hair like girls in many of these videos. Waking up and realising that my hair is still healthy made me feel the most grateful I had ever felt.
I did my first bleach bath today to lighten my medium brown ends, before dying it again, so it could have just a bit of dimension, and it worked like a charm. 15 minutes is all I needed because I had bleached hair under the most of it, and now the new color really sat on well.

I wish I filmed my past hair dye antics, Brad would totally have kittens watching it! Box dye black to Daenerys platinum blonde using 16 bottles of box dye bleach, 3 sessions in 2 days with zero breakage! My hairdresser was literally like "how the heck did you get your hair THIS blonde?" with my response being that I just bleached the shit out of it.

I did Splat green to platinum blonde. Took almost a month. But looked amazing and was healthy (thanks to Uberliss)

During the pandemic I decided I wanted to go from red…I’ve dyed my hair RED, RED for several years & wanted to go back to blonde, my natural.
Started with color remover which surprisingly took me to a pale strawberry blonde. Then I did a strand test, timed it out & ended up with an even level 9 blonde. It was great…but eventually…as we all do, well some of us😂😂😂 I fucked it up. Breakage, some banding, the whole 9…anyway, a year later had a color correction, root shadow, and full platinum card. Cost me the EARTH, but I love it now & my hair no longer breaks. It’s wonderful & I love my stylist at The Blonde House. Shout out to my fave Amber!!!

The only way I know how to section my hair is horizontally. That’s what I do to blow dry, curl, straighten. It’s nice to know it would’ve came in handy but I stopped coloring 2yrs ago & I’m living my best grey life.
I've tried using Arctic Fox's Girls Night a couple of times. The last time I used it, my hair was about a level 8 with barely any yellow and my results yielded a really nice non metallic cool rose gold.
NEVER did my hair actually turn lilac.
Aparently you need a level 10 Targaryen blond to achieve that color.
On the plus side. It makes a really great toner.
