I don't understand the Alto grade - he's the perfect support for Jiyan. His Outro boosts wind and he can use Static Mist (which gives Jiyan an additional ATK buff). Just give Alto Moonlit Clouds and pair with Jiyan.
Minor buff compared to Mortefi Heavy Dmg buff which stacks perfectly with Jiyans Resonance Liberation which is all Heavy Attack Dmg. In the time it takes to dance around invisible I can already be clearing house with a better team comp.
I am a bit confused about Calcharo, because on one side people complain about how clunky he is and how the game design works against him, but on the other hand people keep putting him aside Encore and Havoc Rover as a solid main DPS. I have the feeling that his rank in the tier lists is carried by YinLin, and since I don't have her I wonder how good he is by himself.
A very correct observation, the reason why he is held in high regard even though there are those issues with him is simply because he genuinely is one of the top strongest characters INSIDE a team with Yinlin and ofc Verina is always a huge boost. Another thing that isn't great about calcharo is that he loses so much damage if he can't perform all his Forte attacks (3 total) during his Liberation time. You're absolutely right to be skeptical of his power level without Yinlin and compared to for example Jiyan and Jinshi he will certainly underperform without Yinlin

I have also looked for some LingYang solo (because he is unfamously known for being the worst 5 star main dps) and there are so here is my take on those: The game design makes it so as long as your fundamentals are absolutely perfect you won't die, and the clock on some of the harder content is not too tight so with an upgraded enough character DPS is not going to be the issue. Soloing content with a character is not really a proof of the character being strong but rather the player being super skilled. That being said the solo runs with Calcharo are much faster than those with Lingyang and some hoRg guides on the characters made me reevaluate the clunkyness of the character.
Western CCs are just not that bright unfortunately. They just parrot the common dogma. Calcharo's theoretical damage means jack all if his rotations are interrupted by dodging or getting hit. At that point, using Chixia would yield a higher dps as his field time is abysmally long (and clunky).

i think chixia/aalto belong in s or even s+ with dupes aalto is calculated with support set on prydwen so he should be dealing around chixia damage (higher than jiyan/encore) their uptime is incredibly high and they also only have a support weapon to work with rn, once we get a real damage gun they'll be even better also he should be doing mid air attacks and not shooting on the ground hes def the best overworld farmer rn chixia and aalto also have buffing capabilities too i wonder how strong yuanwu will be once he gets an actual 5* weapon
Spectro rover as a healer/ buffer with the bell echo for jhinsi at s6 is S tier for me. When I need Verina in a another team, spectro rover is almost as good as verina in terms of buffing
I'll have to dig deeper into this setup. I know I've done some nifty time gate stuff with Encore and Spectro Rover, but healing wise I think Yuanwu with blessing set and the 3* gauntlet is stronger. Regardless I'll check it out!
They buffed her a bit in test servers. Her Ult went from 150 to 125 energy and they increased how long full stacks will last. Maybe underwhelming a little, but should work well with Encore as sub DPS or use Chixia as main.
So in the CBT she was working with Scar when she joined the Black Shores. Hopefully they re add that back story. If you watch her trailer ending it hints to her dark past.
I mean….Aalto summins a shadow (aero) clone that distracts the boss/mob and takes the damage for you Buuuuuuut there isn’t enough aero characters in game for him to be THAT viable + his damage isn’t that great
Its finicky at best. I was one of the first to test his kit at least since I got him from my first ever 10 pull and the clones get ignored a ton. Also his atk buff is much worse than Mortefi.
i dont undertand ppl praising Calcharo, hes a ping dependent character with painfull long anymation and if u dont play perfect u can hurt ur rotation with very sinple thing, like the booss moved and u miss one of ur "e"s, now ur fucked, A tier at best
I agree, I was going to put him in A tier, but his dmg is still pretty solid with investment. I don't like his play style at all like I mentioned he feels clunky.
I'm honestly disappointed with Calcharo, although now I have Jinshi and her weapon but my expectations from him fell down. havoc rover is much better than him now at this point.
I thought ppl were exaggerating when they called him bad, but after getting encore and building her to 80, i realized how shit he was lmao, there's too many problems with his kit, his skill is worthless, his death messengers which has the bulk of his dmg can get cancelled or even dodged and has a long ass animation that you can't cancel or else u lose yinlin's buff. Also Seeing Xiangyi's kit with that 1600% dmg nuke, I know my boi calc is cooked if he's really free.
Lingyang mathematically has a dps very similar to the other standards, falling behind encore the most, but for that he is able to dodge a crap ton of enemy boss attacks simply by flying for so long. Its never taken more than 15 attempts for me to take down a hologram boss, even difficulty 6 because of how broken he is. Feel like your rating was coming from bias and you not actually buildijg him, rather than an honest review of his kit and practicality.
I'm not going to argue that I haven't level 80'd Lingyang. But Ive seen my share on CC's struggle to pull off the damage he is capable of even fully built with stack echoes. I had to look at it from the overall and he is the lowest rated 5* in the game by a large margin. I can admit that like any unit with enough investment he can clear anything, but Chixia can do the same. I just don't think everyone can do what you're suggesting with Lingyang.
@@justnoct it isn't a far margin, lingyang does around 7.5% less DMG than calcharo both s0. Cal has much better sequences, but at a f2p level they both perform nearly the same. Cal did get a 5 star tailored buffer in yinlin which lingyang doesn't have so Cal's ceiling is higher, but the difference is not as big as you make it out to be. His DPS is also higher than danjin and chixia so then being higher doesn't make much sense either. If you don't invest in him then obv he can't clear, but math wise he is next to calcharo and above chixia and danjin

This is spot on. One of the reasons I wanted to put him in A tier, but overall he still does solid DMG. I do prefer Encore to Cal.

Jianxin can shield, heal, counter and buff liberation by 38% I say overall S tier and S+ in some teams
If everyone is S Tier, no one is S Tier.

I'd say Chixia sure, idk about Aalto. I have C5 for both, I just don't see the potential for Aaltos kit idk.

Yeah, her rotation only does around 550-600k whereas Xiangli Yao (the free 5 star) does upwards of 800k. Kuro are just dented in their design choice.
