There is more than one reason I love watching your vlogs, the amazing restoration work you do, all the tips you show us, all what not to do’s and your very dry sense of humour. Due to my health conditions I’m stuck at home a lot, so your vlogs always put a huge smile on my face. Mostly because you are a professional, fancy AF and how much we all know that secretly you love sanding. 😊😊😊
Wow, a real restoration by taking it apart. That’s not something you see people do but probably should do if it needs to be restored back to how it originally was. Not for the faint hearted! Well done. 👍
You've created a STUNNING piece! I also love how you've respected the piece and kept the original fixtures. Well done! I also hope that you feel better soon
Wow! You never disappoint, Jay. This is such a grand piece. It is beautiful to look at and will be the focal point of any room. Now rest and get better. Thanks for sharing this project.
Once again, a solid and functional piece of furniture has not only been saved, but has also been restored to its former beauty. The before and after effect is really amazing. It shows once again that a restoration of this solidly crafted furniture is worthwhile.
Your meticulous attention to detail keeps me coming back for more. Who knew there was such beauty under that paint? Obviously, you! Very beautiful work and the end result was simply gorgeous!
I would LOVE any merch (Especially wearable) That has your "I'm FancyAF" with a picture of brass nails OR something that says "Because I'm a Professional." With a picture of any part of a project 😊
Hope you are feeling better soon, Jay. This was a beautiful piece of furniture and, as always, such a good job of restoring it. I look forward to seeing the next video. 😘💕🇦🇺
Sir, you are a great storyteller with an adorable sense of humor! This piece not only looks great, it looks better! I love the contrasting stained parts. It makes it look terribly handsome! (Plus all your kitty cat friends who come to visit. Speaks volumes about you!)
What a beautiful piece! Really nice decorations and contrast. As a professional, which you certainly are, having good tools is a given. Glad you got the Festool.
Oh, my! I’ll bet whoever you bought this from wouldn’t recognize it. The subtle contrasts in the tones of the wood are beautiful, and the original hardware looks great. I hope you don’t have Covid, but I have some tips for you. Drink as much water as you can stand. Get a good blood oxygen sensor (many smartwatches have them) and keep an eye on the readings-if it drops below 90%, get medical attention. Don’t sleep on your back or sit in a recliner for long periods of time. Get up and walk around every couple of hours (around the clock, set an alarm) breathing as deeply as you can-if you can feel your lungs expanding, you’re doing it right. All of these things helped me to survive it. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon. I miss Mando! Winter sucks.
Doesn’t everyone have a cracked bottom!?!? Jay, you really go the extra mile, to make sure your projects turn out just perfect! It’s your Hallmark! Oh, my goodness! This sideboard turned out just wonderful!!! I do so love oak! So pure and youthful in the world of timber. Teak is the youth, mahogany is the lady, walnut is the man and ebony is the old, old man! Wood is the very best of all mediums with which to build !furniture and you clean all furniture up THE BEST!
Как красиво! Обожаю, когда видна фактура дерева, как изящны деревянные ручки. Только дерево и ничего больше и можно долго этим любоваться. Спасибо Вам за прекрасную работу и Ваш подарок ещё долгих лет жизни этой вещи.
From a "purist viewer," I LOVE ❤️ the natural beauty of this piece. 😂 You did a great job as always. Even if it's not my style, you still do the pieces justice. Have a great day, and God bless!
That beauty is Art Deco, The Art Deco period was from 1925 to 1940, though the style originated in France in the 1910s I've always loved the look, thank you for sharing this with us & Please, keep saving these beauties.
You did a wonderful job on that sideboard! The few stainings that you did somehow modernised the whole piece. My dad was an oak addict. He built huge speaker cabinets and even a record player cabinet amongst other pieces. He painstakingly burnished the wood so that it felt like silk. He would have loved to have watched your videos!
I hope you don't have Covid-19, and will feel well again asap! I thoroughly love your humour, voice, accent, and work. I also adore your cat visits, cuddles, for I am unable to have any because our youngest child is very allergic. Thank you for sharing your immense restoration gifts and knowledge with us!
Very few People can say They have Two Cracked Bottoms. You really worked those Bottoms back into Shape. You had your Hands All over those Bottoms! The Craftsmanship is Beautiful! I am not a Purist and I would have been interested to see different Handles. It would have been Funny to see Mando looking out at You from Your window. Good Old snack loving Hugo! Thank You!
I'm sorry you weren't feeling well during this project. (Covid SUCKS!!!) That sideboard was in a dreadful state when you started. I absolutely love what you did with it!! It's gorgeous!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you for keeping the original base. It wouldn't have done this piece justice to replace. It needed the balance. Well done, such a unique sideboard!
Kudos Jay, on restoring another piece so masterful. I did miss watching Mando over seeing your project. I completely understand why I don’t care much for the cold weather either. So I’m glad to see that he gave Hugo the memo to do it for him. I love seeing Hugo, but I have to say that he doesn’t inspect your pieces as well as Mando does. have a blessed day. 🙏💗🤗😻🇺🇸
Beautiful! A wonderfully sympathetic restoration that just brought out the natural beauty of real, solid wood. I'm so glad you kept the original fixtures and made a design feature of them. Thank you Jay, brilliant video as always, and thanks for sharing your kitty break too 🐈💕
What an interesting piece of furniture! It turned out very nice, and I like how you made some pieces darker for interest. And, as a detail person myself, I love when you use brass nails. Have you ever heard from people who see your videos and say, “Hey! That belonged to a family member!” I’ll bet they never knew their item would ever look that good!
Also fancy AF is the way you ponounce english. So pleasant to listen to. I learn a lot from the videos because you are a professional. & thank you for the clips from Debbie Reynolds? Fancy AF all the way. 😂
Wow! It’s so gorgeous! I love the matte finish! It makes the piece stunning! The contrast of the darker elements is amazing, adds a pop to the piece. Can’t believe how beautiful the piece has become. All your restorations, refurbishing have turned out beautiful.
Jay, you did a beautiful job on this sideboard n it looks beautiful. I love how you gave it a 2 tone of stain n you kept the original wood handles. I do believe it is an art deco piece. It’s definitely a beautiful piece. I know the lady you bought it from would never had done as well job that you did. You’re a perfectionist n a professional. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👍🌟🌟🐈⬛
Another gorgeous piece restored and I love the final results. You have vision and the talent to bring these wonderful old pieces to a second life blending the vintage with a modern style and appeal. ❤
Как всегда, все проделана скурпулезно и основательно! Спасибо, очень приятно смотреть на вашу работу и результат всегда радует и поражает своим преображением!
My highlight of the day! A new video from Flipping Drawers! I love oak. Another miracle transformation. ❤. Well done. We missed Mando on this video. Please include a little piece of him, even if just asleep on a chair, (where my cat Frank Sinatra spends his days). 😂. He’s getting a bit older now so not so much running around and NO romancing.. or fighting. Toms are a divil for scrapping with other cats. Until the next video…. 🥰
I like how the color goes from light on top to medium on front to dark on the accents. I think that was indeed a very good choice to bring all those wood tones together. Also those handles remind me of the furniture in my old school when I was a child lol
The clip of, "Surprise, surprise!" keeps making me laugh out loud! I'm from Michigan, and unfamiliar with this clip, but you can bet I'll be hearing it, each time I come across a problem I didn't expect. Thank you for the laughs, and for being so fancy & professional. 💛 Ps: this sideboard is GORGEOUS!
You are my favourite restorer! I absolutely love your commentary and your attention to detail. This is a spectacular restoration in spite of the difficulties with cleaning and removing trims etc. I can’t wait for your next video as you always keep me enthralled. 🇦🇺🤗
Very unique cabinet. I like that you didn’t update this one. When I’m redoing furniture, I tend to update, but sometimes, certain pieces need to stay original. Hope you’re feeling better now. Thanks for another cool af project!
You are such an artist. I’m always amazed at how thorough and patient you are during the process. I love your channel and thank you for filming for us!❤❤❤
This is a beautiful piece of furniture, and you certainly did a magnificent job restoring it! I am amazed that anyone would have painted it. It looks so much better now!
You know what's better than watching your videos? Watching them on your big screen TV!! Trying to finish up a Christmas quilt, but I'm distracted by this beautiful project. And yes, my friend, you are a fancy AF professional!
Oh, Jay, we do hope you feel better soon! This is an exquisite piece, and (because I'm "purist" AF) I was delighted that you kept it as original as possible, and that all that sanding did not precipitate an emotional breakdown. Hugo's "assistance" was undoubtedly a real help in that department, no? Anyhow, all that work really paid off in a spectacular fashion, and it's my fervent hope that you enjoy doing this as much as we enjoy watching. You are totally aces! Onward & upward! ☺
Wow what a stunning piece! This definitely had good bones and your restoration and attention to detail has given new life to this beautiful furniture. It looks fancy as f! Well done you. 😉

Attention to detail makes so much difference. Everything is so clean, it’s not a freshen up, it’s as if it was just built! Such good work.
Nobody puts that sort of time and attention into their work. This piece is better than it was new.
