@lydiaparks7695 Me too! LOL. I noticed that there was a plethora of Uncle Bob’s in this episode. Practically a whole brace of them. Question for @Flippingdrawers : was the oil you treated the side table with a satin or matt finish? It didn’t seem as shiny as you “normally” make your pieces, but that might’ve been due to not photographing it outdoors in the sunshine. I have watched a ton of these sorts of videos and I must say how impressed I am by your “professionalism” in being so thorough with your treatments of each piece. They are all effectively cleaned, treated and polished in their entirety, even the parts that won’t be on show. Proves that you truly are a complete professional . :-D x
I’ve said this before about your earlier restorations, but what makes your work especially beautiful is the fact that you consistently restore and/or clean and refinish the interior, back and bottom of the piece. That extra effort makes it a very desirable piece to add to one’s home.
From trash to treasure. This is beautiful. And to let you know, your commentary is as entertaining as your restoration processes. I'm always watching for the next one
your "I'm a professional" makes me giggle so much! I love it. It's so awesome how you pick fun at yourself. it's great. I found myself rewatching some of your old videos and you've changed so much. you've gotten so much more comfortable in the front of the camera. it's so great to see. "I'm not a fan of simple solutions"
If I hadn’t watched from beginning to end I would never believed that that beautiful little cupboard started out as a discarded, wet, peeling, moldy disaster. Your love for bringing discarded, abused, unwanted pieces back to life makes you a true professional and shows your ability to see the life still in the piece. Gorgeous. Thank You for sharing your talents. (And your humor! Makes me smile)
Once again Jay, you've worked your magic! It turned out beautifully, Bob is most definitely your uncle. I'm so in awe of the creativity and skill that you have, and also very grateful that you share your professionalism with us via your videos. I've just spent a very happy half hour with a cuppa and a biscuit on a freezing cold and snowy afternoon watching this gorgeous transformation. Thank you to you and sweet Mando 🐈💕
Wow, I love how the grain popped when you applied the oil! You turned this sad little piece that was ready for the landfill into a beautiful cabinet that anyone would be thrilled to have in their home. With the brass nails, the new pulls are perfect.
Wow this one really surprised me. I did not see that much potential in the trash you picked up. Thank you for editing your channel so well I never even think about skipping through an episode.
I love what you’ve done with this sad abandoned cabinet! Every time I watch one of your videos I think of my Dad and wish he were still around to watch them too.
Dear Darth, you are indeed fancy AF. We can tell because the more dramatic a wood grain pattern is, the more you love it. By the way, I always watch every minute because I don't want to risk missing an appearance by Mando or Hugo. ;)
Jay, I have to agree with you on the Brazlion Rosewood veneer, it’s gorgeous. This piece I must say is a keeper. Turned out really nice. Good choice on the brass knobs( I like brass too) they’re really more like the original as far as size is concerned n yet the knobs are simple n not over the top. Awesome !! ♥️♥️🥰👍👍👍👍👍🌟🐈⬛ PS. Stay warm with all the snow.
Good that you only used that rosewood on top. The cherry backs it up. And the oiling is just right as is the brass knobbery. Exquisite! Thank you. I feel better all ready. Was feeling like the trashed poor thing at the start. Am so proud of you.
Oh Jay, i love the contrasting veneer! The cabinet turned out gorgeous! It looked awful before you worked your magic on it! You should keep this for yourself, it'll look awesome in your bedroom! Another spectacular restoration! 😊❤
Another beautifully finished piece. I love the contrasting veneers. What also makes you a professional is that you drop the sound level of the power tools and sanding. Nothing worse than having your eardrums blown out by an orbital sander in a video. Thanks for being such a professional producer as well.
Wow, it’s such a beautiful piece now. Amazing what you were able to do with a hopelessly blighted, forsaken little cabinet. The wood vernier is stunning.
Definitely the original knobs look better because they bring out the colour of that fabulous veneer. Once again you took a piece of rubbish and crafted it, in to a really lovely piece of furniture but then you are a professional
I've been waiting awhile for this one. The Brazilian rose wood certainly is "in your face" but the cherry calms it down and pulls things together. The legs are a perfect fit.
I don't know how you manage to always surprise me. Maybe I should just get it that you are an amazing talent and can see the finished project before you start. As always, Amazing! BTW Samurai Sam would have been better than the clock...LOL
It has come out really beautifully. As usual, the quality of your work is perfect, resulting in a piece of furniture that was discarded in the rubbish, upcycled into a timeless piece of furniture deserving a place in anyones home. Thank you for this. ❤❤ It's beautiful. ❤❤❤
I really enjoy your videos, Jay, and I watch each and every one. I usually wait to watch them in the evening, whilst enjoying a brandy and a good cigar…because I am fancy AF. Cheers
I love watching the sanding. My one and only attempt at refinishing was almost tanked by all the sanding - I was doing it all by hand. Talk about “2000 years later.” Never again, I’d rather watch you and envy all your lovely power tools. Love your videos and work. Thanks for sharing!
Love how you restored this to such a beautiful piece❤❤. Is everything OK with your apprentice? He hasn't been in your last few videos. Give Mando and the kitties cuddles😊😊
Mando looks like a model next to that gorgeous rosewood veneer. He's clearly a professional, too. The black feet is a bold and interesting choice and the brown-toned Bakelite knobs were fairly common in the 30s and early 40s I think. I like them, but my favorites are the leaf-shaped ones.
Another beautiful piece! Because you are a professional! Personally, I love the brass half circles for the pull knobs. It gives it a more MCM look. But I would agree to keep the original Bakelite knobs. Those are classic. ❤
When it comes to watching Flippingdrawers videos, I’m a professional! 😂 😊

I love that too. Nothing worse than when the inside of a drawer is rough and unfinished.

The two woods really compliment each other.
Rescued from a sad demise! It is beautiful, Jay!
What a sad little cupboard sat out in the cold 😢😢😢..... you brought it back to life.... lovely...😊😊😊

Once again, you have rescued a poor, sad, little piece and turned it into a lovely and useable piece! Love the brass knobs, BTW
Thank you 🤩 much appreciated as always
@@Flippingdrawers- PS, your hair looks great!
@ thanks 🤩 though it will take many more months before you can see the full results. I’m still getting treatment
So happy that you’re a FAF Professional! Your work is incredible. Thank you for all that you do to restore these otherwise lost pieces. 👏🏻🌟👍

That veneer on the top and pillars is just so beautiful. What a nice contrast to the inside and sides of the cabinet. Another 5 star project.
That’s really pretty! The rosewood veneer on the top is perfection!
Stunning! Such a beautiful piece of furniture. Once again, a big well done Jay .. keep up the good work👌💝
A very nice restoration. I really liked the brass leaf handles but I am sure you will find and amazing use for them on another project.

I live the piece you restored. I also love your humor.
What a beautiful Restoration Jay, you have shown us how professional you are when it comes to making your furniture look like new.😂😂😂😂😂
Another gem. Great choices on the veneer, and especially on the unstained (natural) finish.
You constantly amaze me on how beautifully you reimagine these pieces. Love the different veneers together ❤

That veneer is just gorgeous. I haven't finished the video yet but just wanted to say that.
It looks very straight and true. I like how fancy AF you tend to be. 😊
I love how this turned out! You did a great job matching up all the various woods and the added touch of brass pulls and nails was a wonderful idea!❤

Wonderful job Jay! Gorgeous!
Beautiful combination of contrasting wood grain patterns, Good decision to supply the original door pulls with the bedside table.
You save these poor orphans and give them a new history. Thankyou Jay.
That is absolutely stunning 😍
Mando has the most beautiful shade of green eyes.
That turned out really nice great job 👍
Love it! I like the brass pulls more, and maybe with brass legs instead of the back ones.
Stunning! One of my favourites for sure.
Fantastic job as always!
Wow, it’s such a beautiful piece now. Amazing what you were able to do with a hopelessly blighted, forsaken little cabinet. The wood vernier is stunning.
I really like the veneer on the top with the bold darker lines, that came out nice. Have a great day

2 tbsp tea tree oil in 15 ounces water. Spray on and let dry. I cleaned up black mold in a closet with this solution. It worked for me. 🎉
