Sofyan is clearly a pro. Doing a review like this with so many distractions, without notes and keeping it focused is amazing. Props to the cameraman as well. Great job getting the angles and working around so many people in and outside the vehicle!
For real - this fellow has his presentation skills down to a T. I love watching people like him when they are in their element and all cylinders are firing. I cannot imagine the amount of potential disruptions that were happening around him while they were capturing this but he executed flawlessly.

Absolutely agree with you, sir. In my eyes luxury is leather, wood, stitching, and overall great fit and finish. But nowadays luxury is 30” display and a ton of random electronic gimmicks.
Kudos to you sir for maintaining consummate professionalism amid hovering hood hawks who couldn’t grace you with a mere ten minutes while enjoying the show. Another spectacular video!

Sadly I agree with the statement "Sadly the V8 is gone"!! Just ended a cross country cruise in my V8 GX460, what an amazing vehicle, got an average of 21,9 MPG ( a lot of 80 plus MPH). Last year I did a similar trip in my 2022 Tundra 1794 with twin turbo V6, it never cracked the 17 MPG. Still love the power, but don't fool yourself and believe you'll get great MPG with the twin turbo.

Luxury+ fully loaded, captains chairs riding in 18s with AT tires is a perfect balance of lux and off road. Rear locker only sacrifice but not deal breaker since it can be simulated by this trim.
yeah especially when the new TX is bigger in every dimension compared to the LX besides height, that's why its considered midsized on the outside, but it has a full size interior
I love the new GX, especially in overtail trim. I think it looks awesome, I’m ok with the interior not having wood, I wish it did but I know the quality would be awesome, I hope you can get the massaging seats on the overtrail+ trim
I'll keep my GX 460 with the V8 and no turbochargers or hybrid thanks. Who needs the complexity and maintenance problems of all that stuff for a very slight improvement in mpg? Certainly not those in the boondocks or deserts of the world.
Its a Prado from the Land Cruiser family, dont insult it by saying its like a G wagon. G Wagon could only dream of the goodwill and loyalty these vehicles have across the entire planet.
Unlike most Toyota dealerships who have been adding ridiculous markups for most of their new inventory within the last three years, most Lexus dealerships have been charging just MSRP for almost all of their models within the same time frame. My three local Lexus dealerships will be charging MSRP for the GX550.
YEEEEEES! There's my panoramic roof I love the frosting feature especially being here in Florida. This is definitely my number 1 choice to replace my 2008 FJ Crusier, what a worthy upgrade to my beloved Cruiser. Can't wait to see this thing in person.
Even as a GX 460 owner I do make the comparison and parallel to the G-class but I would never go as far as to say it isn't built to last. After all the G-wagon hasn't changed much since 1977 which I would say makes it extremely forward thinking by comparison with the Land cruiser which has changed many times since 1977. Infact the Prado didn't even exist. I always respect the Mercedes. It's a different breed in the same class

That price I expect better front grill with all glossy black night package all around. Inside the dash needs to be more leather than plastic materials. Also need a glossy black rims. Get a night package with this and I am sold.
I just said the same thing before reading down. I also mentioned that this is auto show entry, and I hope Lexus has more variety on their options list.
With the EPA getting stricter, Congress, whatever federal regulations gettin more strict as years go by, new laws, etc., a V8 is likely too troublesome for Toyota in the US Lookin around, I think the gov wants vehicles to have 161 g CO2/mi by 2026, so as the years go by, and likely beyond 2026, it could get more strict 🤷♂️ so ppl gotta get used to them v6s and 4 cylinders, or electric on new vehicles, or keep their v8 vehicles they have A souped up vehicle like a SRT hellcat with the supercharged v8 as an example, i think the owners can meet emissions, but may gotta pay compliance fines in strict smog states, not sure and dodge AFAIK I think will discontinued their supercharged v8 engines in dec 2023 due to strict fed emissions and regs, them v8s are phasing out for most manufacturers, so for srt hellcats as an example, either v6s or most likely electric i would imagine, or they could just keep rollin with v8s for 1 more year and pass the gas guzzler tax onto the consumer, not sure 🤔 the manufacturer could get fined, sued i would imagine, or in some years if they kept the V8s, and gas guzzler tax for hardcore engines is like $2.1k, so Toyota definitely ain’t doing that in the US 😂 they Japanese 🇯🇵 🇯🇵

Exactly. I may be wrong but the TTv6 won’t have the long term reliability of the V8 imho.

How
Man I need to get the hybrid version AS SOON as its out!! What a beast!!
This new Lexus GX looks amazing unlike the old Lexus GX which looked really old school.
The old GX was a rebadged Toyota Prado
First time I’ve seen a plus trim filmed. I’m sold on the pano roof and digital rear view mirror.
After doing such a good job on the GX the LX styling takes a more discerning eye to spot why it still sits at the top of the line-up.
yeah especially when the new TX is bigger in every dimension compared to the LX besides height, that's why its considered midsized on the outside, but it has a full size interior
Idk how i feel about that twin turbo v6 compared to the NA v8...
One of the best looking new SUV in my opinion
Wow, it’s got the aerodynamics of a brick wall. To be fair, it does look like an outhouse.
When is it coming out. I checked with a couple of dealerships and got no response and no estimated delivery date
