Getting ready to switch career field and getting into trucking. Looking for the right truck and setup for reefer and dry van otr. I haven't seen much information on the mack trucks.
It was a good truck. I got out of lease purchase and just bought my own truck. Ended up with a peterbilt as they are still my favorite but had a decent deal on a Mack been there I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
SSG was my favorite rank. I just retired in NOV after 35yrs in the Army. Just in time because now the Military is woke. I'm thinking about my CDL should I do my training/hazing through Prime and then pop smoke after a year.
3 things I would change... Put the radio ABOVE the drive buttons(no cables running past switches) Have cameras instead of ant antennas on the hood Have a sun visor without all the idiot instructions
I'm retired Navy guy. I'm looking for my first truck to buy. I'm defiantly wanting the Mack Anthem. You being a Marine will get this connection. My first ship was the Belleau-Wood LHA-3, You being a Marine will get the connection between Belleau-Wood and Mack.
People always talk shit and volvos and macks cause they are a volvo but the Quality is so nice On the inside and the way they drive too especially over International or freightliner
Hi Kev, I just watched your video, I want to buy a semi truck, my choices are Volvo or Mack, do you mine if I ask about how much did you pay for you Mack, down payment and monthly payments, just to have an idea and compare with a new one this year. How is mpg? At what average speed do you drive? You are totally right about Mack badass looking truck, I have a Volvo VNL 2012, when I see my mirrors and a Mack is passing me, it is bulldog Mack passing 👍👍 Thank you for your time and stay safe German Rivers Hauling
To be honest that was a while ago. It was a lease purchase. So i had weekly payments. Just kind of different than a straight purchase. The cost was around 200K back then.
so current company I'm on 1099 only worked 2 months but found a local tanker job that operates Volvos and hauls inedible raw material. anyways the boss man said that he has ordered 10 new volvos and possibly some new mack anthems. I've never touched a mack before, I've driven everything including a long nose cattle puller pete. within 2 years lol.
7:11 The actual video starts.
😂

I saw your Marine in his Dress Blues above your head. Couldn’t see his chevrons, didn’t know if he has a blood stripe or a sword. Semper Fi brother
Yeah he’s just they way I bought him. I was a SSGt.

How about the reliability and MPG?

Welcome in
No such thing as a "former" Marine brother. We are Marines that drive Trucks now.
Great video, but from videos I seen saying it makes 10+ mpg , that for me is Number # 1…

I’m happy for sure
I agree. Volvo are great riding trucks. Super Comfortable and tons of storage.
What is your favourite comfortable truck??
Based on comfort alone has to be a peterbilt.
A Marine Bulldog on the hood. Can't top that.
Amen
