    Hi CK,
    I'm currently using Arc11Pro with 66 Ultimax, do you think Exbolt 68 will provide better/harder/quicker smash?
    Hold time from 11Pro reduces smash power in my opinion even though i've put tape on the head frame.

    • @WilsonLaw-p1k
      @WilsonLaw-p1k 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you use a arc11 pro and moving to 88d pro, understand that you will be sacrificing control (especially defence) for power. think carefully. I tried the 88d pro (4u) and felt that unless you want to switch your style of playing to more smashing from the back and want to play less at the net. The 11 pro is good all round but does not excel in speed or power. Its good enough to do anything but not dominate in any category. Moving to 88d pro you will then be leaning to dominate with smashes and hope your oppenent does not just play drops and nets against you. For me its quite a bit of sacrifice unless you have a good partner/friend to cover the net and he/she is whiling to always move to the front.

    • @michael3294
      @michael3294 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@WilsonLaw-p1k well, i think i do more smash with arc11pro instead of drop or control shots 😂
      I've tried the current 88DPro 4UG5, and i absolutely love it. Felt amazing for any overhead shots, and for me, the control is on par with arc11pro, but i think it just how i felt and might be different for others.
      One thing for sure is the defense, indeed slower, and it exhausts my forearm quicker.
      I won't move to 88D Pro completely, i just want to have 2 rackets with different traits in my bag.
      Having head-heavy rackets will always be good for training 😄

    I can say the Exbolt 65 really snaps on miss hits. I am not a pro nor even amateur player, I just casually play pn our club queues and my Exbolt 65 snapped on a backhand defensive shot miss hit. Immediately go back to BG 80 afterwards but with this Exbolt 68, it may restore my faith in the Exbolt lineup. Will definitely try this string out.

  • @kevinchang8793

    Odd, your video shows that it's 0.65mm gauge, however, the Yonex site shows 0.68mm gauge? Would this be a good replacement for the BG80 and does it have the same kind of hard feeling rating that BG80 has? Previously, the Exbolt 63 and 65 had a Medium Feeling rating, so would the Exbolt 68 have the same medium feeling or a hard feeling rating?
    BG80's core is said to have a High Polymer Nylon Multifilament with Vectran™, while Exbolt 68's core is listed to only have the High Polymer Nylon Multifilament. Is this a big factor in why BG80 feels so hard? If so, would this mean that Exbolt 68 doesn't have the same hard feeling as BG80?

      I don’t think Exbolt 68 is designed to replace BG80. And also, 68 doesn’t feel as hard as the 80. The 68 is designed for durability whilst the 80 is for repulsion/feel, they just happen to have the same string diameter.

    Hi, i love to use Aerobite string but the aerosonic breaks to easily even on the sweetspot. Do you have other strings recommendation that have good control and repulsion?

    • @WilsonLaw-p1k
      @WilsonLaw-p1k 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree aerobite is by far the best control with decent durability. I strung aerosonic and aerosonic boost so many times but they always break way too quickly. But now im working on my power instead of control so im using lining no.1 instead. Aerobite is good for 100% control but the repulsion is not good enough for heavy smashing. I starting to use a thicker string to get more replusion for the smash. I used to play 100% control with the lightest racket (10u) for quick shots. But starting to realise this combination cannot defend if someone is using 88d pro with 80 power. So now im using lining 9000c for good control, heavy 3u racket for stability, and lining 1 for good control yet durable. Maybe one day my wrist strength will be good enough for 80 power. P.s. i also use the powerball so to handle the 9000c. Average people will find it too heavy and stiff. The powerball is small enough for warmups, training, for people with limited time and money to go gyming everyday. Makes any 4u racket feel like a hollow tube inside and flex rackets feel unstable. @ckyew should try this, you will find 4u medium flex rackets like its for kids after training with a powerball.

    Arc saber 11 pro or 88d pro doubles?

    • @michael3294
      @michael3294 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Both of them are good for doubles and single, but your style of play is important.
      i'm currently using Arc11Pro 4UG5, it's an all-round racket. In my opinion, 11Pro is great at everything except drive and smash.
      Even though my 11Pro's BP is around 305 mm (i put tape on top of the frame), it doesn't increase my smash power (unless you're strong as zhing si wei).
      Pretty much because of the frame type that increase the shuttle-hold, so it's great for lobbing, back-hand clear, etc.
      If you like smash from rear-court or want to train your forearm, getting heavy racket won't disappoint you.
      If you're really confused, save more money, go find 2nd handed racket, and get both of them if you could.
      Just like me, since i only have Arc11Pro,
      I'm planning to get 3rd Gen 88D Pro (since the current 88D Pro will discontinue this year), having 2 racket with different traits is better, at least for me.

    • @WilsonLaw-p1k
      @WilsonLaw-p1k 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is partly correct, i agree on the feeling of 11 pro. But getting a 88d pro will not increase your forearm strength. You will need something heavier, like gymming, cross training, powerball, etc. to handle a heavier racket. Understand that you will also be sacrificing control for power. You are essentially switching your play style. Putting tape will change the balance but does not change the fact it is still a 4u racket with medium flex. Aim higher and train for it, eat health. Effort pays with hard work. Theres no substitute for physical training and time spent on practices. Then again, how much effort (not just money) are you willing to spend?

      [Edited] My english is kinda bad, sorry in advance.
      "How much effort am i willing to spend?"
      Are you judging me?
      If heavy racket won't increase my forearm strength, then why people who play badminton, they right hand's (right hand plays) forearm seems to be bigger than left forearm and vice versa?
      Your strength did increase, but not as much if you go to gym.
      "Essentially switching your playstyle," meaning:
      Buying 88D Pro = Changing style.
      Oh boy, i don't know if you dislike 88D Pro or not, but don't be like that okay.
      You explain it in length and in the end you just want me not to buy the 88D Pro (?) Or maybe another reason?
      Some people say they don't like Arc11Pro, but i like it.
      Same with 88D Pro, some people may don't like it.
      I believe you're capable to buy any high-end Yonex racket, but you can't force your opinion about things you don't like to other people, right?
      Badminton is a hobby for many, it's up to them wether they want to buy any badminton equipments.
      1 of my friend using only 1 cheap racket.
      1 of my friend wanted to buy mid-high end racket, but thinking it's a waste of money
      1 of my friend using many different rackets from different brands.
      1 of my friend buy 8 rackets with 5 of them are high-end, but she's not professional.
      What's important is that they're happy, and so on.
      In the end, if you are happy with your hobby without disturbing or bothering other people, you're amazing brother.
      FYI, i do workout, i do swimming, i do work at a company and i bought every single badminton equipments with my own money, cheers brother

    to be frank, if the exbolt 65 just had a little more texture & bite to the string just like the 68, it could just be the best all round in the exbolt series.
    ex68 seems to me to be the BG80 of the exbolt series
    ex65 seems to be the BG66um of the exbolt series
    ex63 seems to be the aerobite of the series, less the sticky bite component and just full focus on repulsion.

    • @michael3294
      @michael3294 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @YarmintonGroup
      @YarmintonGroup 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@michael3294 as the arc11pro is made to be a control racket with high shuttle hold, no matter what string you put on it it won’t really make your smash as good as an astrox head heavy racket. unless you have very strong arm/forearm power. but working with what you have, you should go for high/quick repulsion strings. your 66UM string should do fine, but if you want to know which in the exbolt line up would improve your smash abit, try exbolt 65 or the new 68. i won’t recommend 63 altho it’s high repulsion too, as it breaks too easily at not even very high tensions (27lbs onwards)

  • @nellynelson965
    @nellynelson965 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Your science is wrong my friend. I dont disagree whith your feeling about the string, but whats actualy happening from an engeneering perspective is the opposite way round.
    Lets assume 2 strings are manufactured the same, but one is thiner.
    Thicker string= Higher tensile strength and Greater mass due to larger cross sectional area would have LESS deflection due to increased stiffness and higher tensile strength. Higher durability
    Thinner string = Lower tensile strength, increased deflection and lower durability.
    Trampoline effect is deflection. A thicker string would deflect less and have LESS time in contact with the shuttlecock.
    Obvisly string construction and materials bring variables. But your understanding of what is happening is round the wrong way. Generally you would have more "feel" with a thinner string. But, personal preference and how you interpret teh information given to your hand will differ between us all. This is why people like certain string and other dont.
