Catch Catfish In 60 Seconds Or Less (EVERY CAST)

- This is a proven technique for catching catfish in 60 seconds or less in most cases and on almost every cast that I've been using for years. If you're looking for a way to catch a TON of catfish fast and load the boat during some action-packed catfishing this is a great technique.
I headed out to do some filming for my friend Barry Stokes guest hosting his show "Let's Fish" on Fox Sports and got into an epic catfish bite. The show has aired and turned out great but we caught so many fish and there was so much good catfish action that I wanted to upload my own video highlighting some of this red hot catfish action.
We pulled up to start filming and the first cast I made I caught a nice catfish within seconds and the action stayed that way the whole time I was filming producing 75+ fish in a couple of hours. I got so tired of catching catfish I had to put my son (and cameraman) into fish for a while. This is an awesome technique if you want to catch catfish in BIG numbers anywhere in the country this time of year.

I know of a spot just like this at Oologah Lake in Oklahoma. You just inspired me to take my kayak, my slip cork rig, and my bucket of CJ’s shad punch bait to the lake and try to catch a stringer of eaters. 😎 Great video!

I'm in South Dakota, the channel cat get pretty decent size, in the right spots. I prefer to be on em, and setting hooks, every couple min, like you doing in this video. Right on, love the channel.

Well done Chad. I don't live where blues and flatheads are anymore. Where I live on the west coast channel cats and bullheads. So I love targeting channel cats this same way. I go more for numbers and fun over one big fish. This video hits home for me, grew up doing this and still doing it to this day. But yeah like you said since where I live channel cats don't have to compete with blues and flats so they get big here. Most fish I catch are 3.5 to 6 pounds or bigger. But there my favorite fish to catch cause like you said there angry and fight hard pound for pound and i don't think they get enough respect. But I love and respect channel cats. I caught blues and flats all over when I was stationed in Texas Maryland and Kentucky. But channel cats were my roots. Awesome video chad.

Fish are fish. They don’t know what state they’re in. This was originally filmed for TV so have some specific shots that have to be done.

I was useing these chicken blood catfish bait ball.s or nugget.s year.s ago the smell of those bait.s got into the water and i was hammering them like you were.. the bait act.s like a chum line and the fish really come in to it once the smell get to drifting with the current..good luck on yr next adventure..ill try the punch bait here soon cheer.s ron

Hello , this is a good fishing video, I've used some dip bait, and catch alot of blue cats before. One time I dehooked a cat and it splashed a hook full on my face. That stink was on for days after washing.

Hand sanitizer is a miracle for getting rid of the "stink" off your hands, face etc

Is there a taste difference between channel, blue and flathead caught in the same body of water?
Not really from my experience. Unless you're talking about a 2lb channel and a 15lb blue. Size makes a difference.
Yes, blues and flatheads are always cleaner tasting fish than channel catfish.

I wonder if the blue cats keep the channels from getting to big size there. We don't have any blues at all here and catching 10 lb plus channels here isn't terribly uncommon

I don't know. I've heard different theories that it has to do with abundant blue catfish populations.
