This Tree Was LOADED With Catfish (Every Cast)

- I headed out to do some evening fishing chasing some channel catfish using punch bait. It’s so hot in Texas right now you have to fish early mornings or late evenings and stay off the water in the heat of the day. Mornings have been great for catching catfish but I have not been on the water much in the evenings so I had to so some searching. After some driving around I found a submerged tree in shallow water and flipped some punch bait into it and started catching fish on every cast. It was LOADED with channel catfish so it made for some whack em and stack em fishing.

I haven’t fished there in 20 years but yes I’ve fished there.
It's miserable, I don't even want to go check the mail. Waiting on September and going to take my 3 y/o grandson for his first fishing trip. Hope to find the bluegill for him and for some bait.

Nice video. I really enjoy the shallow punch bait videos. However you accidentally put the same explanation about the 5 sq ft area and the 125 fish in the video twice.

Would this work with 30 or 40lb mono or do you prefer braid for sensitivity as well? I can’t wait to try this rig
