  • I bought this bike about 3 years ago and haven't done a single thing to it and you know what? It's finally time to make it mine. It had a small seat with super low handle bars. Even though I do like the look of it. I want something a little more comfortable for me and my friends to ride. This bike got the works today. We repaired the rear wheel, inspected the breaks, adjusted the break cables, cleaned the carburetor, checked my piston and rings, replaced all the gaskets on on the top end of the motor, replaced the handle bars and seat, cleaned our points, replaced the spark plug, and finally gave the bike an oil change. Now, I think she's finally ready for the new season!

I like the bike. Looks good with the bars and seat. Two things I do differently. Not saying they are better. Getting the head and base gaskets sealed up on kitted bikes is always a risk area. I put a little permea red on the head and I’ve heard yiu can put a little yamambond or case sealant on the base gasket. Brake guild helps the base gaskets come off easy. Looks like you might have a slight exhaust leak given where the burn is on that piston. Second, I found I had a much easier time working on the rear wheel with the chains off.m and gives me a chance to clean them if I want.

Thanks for the input! I was also thinking there was an exhaust leak. I pretty much bought this bike the way it is. I only added sprockets to it about a year and a half ago. Everything else has been pre done.

They are Honda Hobbit (PA50, Camino) bars. I got them from Mopeddivision. You can use my codes too. RESTO-10 for a 1 time use and then RESTO-7 everytime after that.
