Lockhart is the ALPHA and OMEGA of TX BBQ for me. Black's is great. Smitty's is my favorite.
Finally. Someone who knows. Half of my family is from Lockhart. I used to love going to Chisholm Trail when Floyd owned it. I love Smittys
No place in Lockhart even ranks in the Texas Monthly Top 50.

I’ve had it delivered to my home in Alabama. Got the beef ribs and brisket. Incredible and well worth the $$. You definitely won’t regret it!!
Thank you for your input! Now that I have seen this video, I am considering ordering some food from there myself! I just had some sausage links FedExed to me today from a bbq restaurant in North Carolina being I live in Southern C.A. I'll be cooking them this weekend!
Nothing like eating it fresh from the restaurant though. I'm north of Dallas, but drive down to that area once in a while and try to hit up one of the incredible BBQ joints around the Austin area.
I've been wanting to eat there. Thanks for posting. Can't wait to go!
Went there in September of last year. My wife and I waited a little more than an hour to get in, and it was totally worth it. I ended up in a food coma and it was absolutely fantastic. Best vacation just because of Black’s BBQ.

What a fantastic video this is! Marvelous job! I really enjoyed the beef brisket demonstration that he did. That really made me hungry and my mouth water! Blacks BBQ has been my favorite brisket since first ate there in 1960 at age of 5.......Don't take the "easy" way out and go to Austin/San Marcos/New Braunfels.....go to LOCKHART.

I like Black’s although I believe Terry Blacks is better, regardless no other BBQ comes close to central Tx BBQ.
Terry Black's is better. You are correct. My family is from Lockhart. Most of us aren't huge Black's fans. I've aways been a Smitty's fan
Here in Kentucky , family raises Black or red Angus & Hereford ( pronounced hair ford) breeds, best breeds goin'

Blacks bbq is THE MOST overrated bbq in Texas.
Cuisine tourism is increasing all over the world. The bbq joints in the UK are franchises most in America they are brick and motor stores.🧧
