After my update to MIUI10 Google assistant doesn't accept my voice not even voice matching worked , i looked dozones of videos but they couldn't help. I was sure to giveup i was very frustated on miui/google (even send them a harsh feedback) , this video happened to be my last video then i would have gaveup and surprisingly it helped . So thankfully to you beebom . I couldn't believe that 2years old tech video could help in this 2019 years upgraded androids lol but it did thats what matters. Thanks again and keep making these vids.

Owen. - ̇uǝʍO Just go to the system language settings and change the language to an other language (like italian) then go to the google app, then exit, then go to the system language settings and choose Englis US and finally open google app and the "settings" option will appear (I mean, it worked for me)
In pixel phones it was already there. Maybe also in some very recent other brand androids. But my samsung phone disnt come with one so i have to do all this.... if needed. Google search is enough tbh
