Dude, thanks, that is exactly what i needed, I was looking for that solution so such a long time, you helped me a lot! I needed a way to totally disable/remove bluetooth on Huawei P8 Lite - I connect it by USB to my car by Android Auto to have a navi on my display (and only for that), but it automaticly turns bluetooth ON which causes me unable to connect second phone by BT to headset which I use for calling. This way after disabling Bluetooth I can have two phones connected to car - one by USB cable for navi and second by BT for calling. Great!
I used to fiddle with the os on my computer and phone but it's gotten to a point where to do it correctly you need really good experience in computer software modification. So I took it to the IT department where I work and got them to do it. You'd be amazed how its improved performance and battery life.
Continually uses the words REMOVE and DELETE, when all he is doing is disabling. This "solution" does not save you storage space. It "may" speed up your device.
Thanks for the video but this does not work anymore in 2020, I just installed it but none of the apps show on the list and it shows the phone is connected
This is about *disabling* bloatware, not uninstalling. Uninstalling creates a lot more free space, but disabling doesn't. If you want bloatware-free Android, buy a Nokia with Android One.
Ok. Can you please confirm that the procedure above will allow me to DELETE the bloatware from my Xperia T2, freeing space from its memory rather than simply disabling these apps? And if the bloatware is deleted how can I tick a checkbox in the Debloater / ADB and get it reinstalled?
Debloater Problem: "Unfortunately your device is neither rooted nor supports block mode, the program will now close" - and then it closes. Any fix? Asus Fonetab ME...
why would i do all this crap just to disable the apps which i can do from my phone also.. the only way to remove system app bloatware is by rooting your device.
I can't disable any of the sh*tty apps from my manufacturer. That's why this method is somewhat effective for me. At least they would be hidden from my eyes.
Thumb down from misleading title. Disabling and hiding a bloatware program is not the same than removing (aka uninstalling), since you don't get the memory space it is occupying, it simply gets deactivated.
Bob G I believe "deactivating" here means uninstalling the app, but keeping the _.apk_ in internal flash storage. So to launch the app again you have to go into settings to "enable" (install the app) to run it again.
Bob G No. If this program allows your phone you disable system apps, you can disable all system apps. Tyrannical roms like MIUI and most Chinese roms make disabling system apps very difficult becouse they earn by spying on users.
I came here having in mind to remove Facebook bloatware on my samsung device. Seems like you need to "update" your title so people like me wont be wasting their time.
@@jamieian - I agree I should be able to but am unable to. I have the galaxy s6 edge. I got this second hand and it has tons of preloaded crap on it that use to constantly annoy me. I was able to turn some of it off. I want to remove facebook because I never use it and it takes up a lot of room. I believe it has built in tracking software too so - NO THANKS.
Hi, great tutorial. Clear, understandable and very useful. The only issue I' am dealing with is that I can't find online, even at the link you posted, a working version of debloater for mac "el capitain". The 3.85 and the upgrade 3.90 give an error ones launched. Have you any suggestion where to get it? Thanks for support.
+techdude6693 +wake. you guys need to have your phones unlocked and wait until a dialog box (on the phone) opens up asking whether or not to authorize the computer to make changes. Same thing happened to me. If it doesn't open up, try switching the port you're using and restarting the debloater program. It might take a minute to pop up so be patient
Watching this on September 2017 and my Nexus 6 is still my daily driver: decent camera, big UHD screen, wireless charging, quick charge, water resistant, dual front stereo speakers, etc. even by today's standards its still an awesome device!
I know what you mean. I have the same feeling with my Desktop computer. It older, but still riding strong. Exept that it's Nvidia card always was a piece of abdomination. So much even that I didn't wanted to spend money to replace it, because I'm salty there wasn't a better card in it in the first place and won't pay any more. Everytime the GPU hangs I swear I could bump my fist through the walls out of agony. Especially when it does so on the worst possible times and with a cringing sound of crashing. That's why I stopped gaming at night. Because I could scream the entire neighbourhood out of bed if that piece of crap hangs again.
I don't yet know that I'm gonna get anything from watching this vid over and above this - just would like to congratulate you on these vids. I've yet to test the actual value of the content, but the format and presentation is really clever...especially since this vid is a couple of years old already. Which either makes you very forward-thinking or me very backward... I'm inclined to go with the latter...but who cares! Still a cool vid! Now gonna test the meat... (good grief that could go soooo many ways... I'll just stop there...)
Great video! I just bought my first smartphone ( J2 Prime) Unlocked Int version. I'm not sure that it came with any bloatware, but this is a great video if I find I want to remove anything later. Thanks!
Device connected not showing green light its still in red color. Though i have followed all the steps. I am using Windows 10 and redmi note 4. And i have enabled developer option and usb debugging. Please reply
GetThatBase what I've discovered is that the "adb server" is out of date, and the gentleman hasn't made a new video with the updated server "if there is one"
Hi, Snazzy! Several years ago I followed your instructions and it worked like a charm on my Galaxy Note 3. Today, the same instructions don't work on my Galaxy S8. I realized that this video is quite old: Sep 23, 2015. Would you be kind to update the instructions and help me stay Snazzy forever?! Thanks, bro!

Wyvern07 bloatware is any unwanted software that isnt essential. Calculator, camera, google, etc are basic apps that most people need. Stuff like games that are preinstalled or random launchers arent needed
Hopefully you'll still respond to comments on this video seeing as it's over 3 years old. I have a moto e4 plus currently running Android 7.1.1. Everyone thinks I'm crazy but my phone came with apps pre-installed that I don't want but can't remove via Play store. No, these are not apps pertaining to operating systems on my phone. I'm talking about Amazon, Amazon Kindle, Amazon music, Audible, Prime videos, Instagram, and Prime Videos. Sounds crazy right? Or maybe you know this by now. If not, I am dead serious that I didn't install these apps and cannot uninstall them. I've no doubt that Amazon pays cell phone makers/developers (whatever) to do this but I don't think, as a consumer purchasing any phone, should have to deal with this since I'm also paying for the same device. Or, maybe it's a way for companies to provide cheaper smart phones to people, like myself, can't afford to purchase models like Samsung Galaxy or iPhones. I suppose I shouldn't assume. I will want these apps gone though, if possible. So, what I'm wondering is will this method completely remove these apps from my device or is there possibly another way I can do this? I've got them all disabled and made sure they can't run in the background but I know they're still taking up memory and this drives me insane. I appreciate any help or resources you can provide me with. Thanks so much for your time.
Additionally, sorry for all the stupid people out there who refuse to watch a video or read the info you've provided before making dick headed comments. You're already providing information and spending your valuable time make videos such as these so screw what you decided to title it right?
+majestic potato9101 That's why you should learn on how to install Custom roms . You can get the latest operating system with a few extra cool apps . Knowledge is Power
I find it easier to go into settings, application manager, storage, and then clear the cache, then data (which returns it to its factory settings before any updates) then disable the app.
+Snazzy Labs "Re-enable"is a term used after disabling something, not removing it... However.. I doubt you'll find a huge (lol.. If any) performance boost. The best I could think of is merely not even a 1% increase in performance. The OS is built around being under constant pressure (Duh...) while still maintaining performance.. NOW.. I'm not saying it'll be as fast as it was when you first started it, but it'll probably lag as much as anyone elses if used in the same way. These "performance tips" are as true as the ones where they claim you SAVE battery from removing apps from the cache memory (Lol, "Phone Boosters")... Surely, if you have some kind of _VIRUS_, you'll find these increases as "boosting", but yeah.. If you say so :)
9:30 letting you know in the comment below (not the video description :). after clicking "read device packages" only got 2 lines (of base packages) - i think debloater program displays already disabled packages (in my case at least - samsung galaxy s6 with the latest android update)
Quick Question: if you bought a paid app from the google play store, and want your money back, can you just uninstall it and get it back? I uninstalled it from the play store but if you delete it permamently what happens? 1. What happens 2. How to delete it permamently?
If only I had read the comments, "it won't work with windows 10". I installed everything, and now opened the debloater, but it doesn't recognize my phone, and so it doesn't allow me to click on "read all packages" :(
I disconnected the Phone and re-enabled USB debugging and somehow it came up this time. Thanks. There were not many bloatware apps on my BOOST S4, some you could actually delete, and the ones I had disabled in application manager from the phone were already disabled, so maybe people will have better luck on other carriers.
Hi there, I got windows 7 and got the same problem. I start my phone (Samsung S6 Edge, with actual software, Android Marshmellow), swich on developer functions and enable debugging. I installed adb and debloater on my PC. Start the debloater as an administrator and get not connected to my cell phone. Do you have an idea, what it could be?
+Bernd Voller I was able to get it to work. But only after disconnecting the phone from the computer, closing the de-bloated, and turning off USB debugging on the phone. After that I opened the de-bloater, connected the phone to the computer via USB, and turned on USB debugging in developer options. Once you turn on that feature, there should be a warning pop up on the phone you have to accept. Keep in mind I'm working with a S4, so might be different. Good luck
@@SCtester samsung as far as I'm aware is the only branch of Android that has that cancer. Which speaks volumes given they try their hardest to be most like iPhones
@@SuperKevents True about them copying. I believe most Android phones do both those things though. Only a few manufacturers don't have bloatware - OnePlus, Moto, Essential and Pixel for example
thank you liked subscribed and watched. I've been wanting to get into some of these features. I will be watching your stuff on youtube. thanks for the content
there are options to block the unwanted apps in the apps section of most android phones from there we can disable most of the bloatware ..then why use this method ??
+Imran Haque did you not see this video ??? he is clearly saying that the apps are being disabled not removed .using this method the app still remains on the phone internal memory ..the app just gets hidden .
+SaM 534 yes there is one way... step 1: install kingroot app from xda dev page and root the phone . Step 2: open kingroot app and uninstall all the bloatware .just be careful not to remove system apps .if you remove system apps your phone might get bricked just remove app unwanted apps which is visible in the app drawer else don't remove . Step 3: uninstall kingroot..and your phone will be unrooted and you will get back your warranty..!!!
+SaM 534 there is no use of force closing the apps.. it will start again after a restart of the phone.. disabling apps helps it frees ram since disabled apps wont appear in ram.but it does not free any space on the internal memory.. the internal memory will still be filled with the disabled app..!!
use kingo root. on pc. connect ur phone enable usb debugging. make it root the phone.. then you can uninstall anything you wish if you use a good uninstaller.
Thanks for your time in posting this advice 😊 I know what u mean, about removing some items and some that cannot be removed (like on Samsung phones) . Very helpful thanks again 😊👍
Thanks for the video Snazzy Labs! You forgot to say, and subscribe to my channel. 😊 My question is do you need to back up your phone in order to do this? And would it be better to remove all bloatware upon purchasing a new phone? I'm considering purchasing the Samsung Note 10 when it comes out and I don't want to deal with any bloatware from the onset.

+Daniel Duarte Yeah, got the color a little off again. Been using V-Log on the GH4 which is neat, but not when the LUT doesn't work. Trying to fine tune it but I think my monitor is a fair bit off from other displays. Looks greener on my MacBook than it did when I was editing.
Probably won't do it, but good to know if there's just not enough room. My Galaxy S5 Active only has 16 gigs of internal storage. If you move them, partly, from to the SD card, the icons are missing. And that happens with huge voluntary apps as well. Thanks for this last ditch search for space!
I stuck on the installation of the ADB and Fastboot. I did install those drivers, but I can't do anything else. No application window opens. Right after the blue window opens, I click yes 3 times, it shows it's done, it closes and nothing else appears on my computer.
i bought a backup phone but it has very little storage...bloatwares take up 90% of the storage space. WHO THE FCK needs AM/FM that can't be removed only disabled ?? Why does Android make it stock? Disabling doesnt help...
Today Google has made a app that kills your battery and make your phone very slow. It's called the Digital Well-being app, you can disable it on some Android phones but not on any Google Pixel device. That's why Google Pixel users are having battery draining problems and making them slower than they should be.
Disable is not the same as remove

This way after disabling Bluetooth I can have two phones connected to car - one by USB cable for navi and second by BT for calling. Great!
I used to fiddle with the os on my computer and phone but it's gotten to a point where to do it correctly you need really good experience in computer software modification. So I took it to the IT department where I work and got them to do it. You'd be amazed how its improved performance and battery life.
Literally never heard anyone say you can’t love both iOS and Android
Stop using the word "literally" all the time. You're literally using it incorrectly.
I'm just going to ignore everything in this video and just look at your mustaches!

+Aarontti lolololol

How so quickly you fall in love with his mustache! Lol
Continually uses the words REMOVE and DELETE, when all he is doing is disabling. This "solution" does not save you storage space. It "may" speed up your device.
Download Lucky Patcher, then you can uninstall any app, even the file browser.
Not without root and now they are trying to if not all banning it the fake Indi vids click bate
Ever heard of:
adb shell
pm uninstall --k user 0 package name
Wtf is that?
@@fantanaideilor 😂
Doesn't work on my android 10 phone.
The title is very misleading; the whole video is about DISABLING apps and NOT about REMOVING them "without root".
+Luiz Felipe Nasser-Carvalho Not true.
Ok. Can you please confirm that the procedure above will allow me to DELETE the bloatware from my Xperia T2, freeing space from its memory rather than simply disabling these apps? And if the bloatware is deleted how can I tick a checkbox in the Debloater / ADB and get it reinstalled?
it depends on the phone whether you can remove them
or not as said in the video
yes i also hate when people put false title and thumbnails
Luiz Felipe Nasser-Carvalho coz he needs the ads seriously..
Debloater Problem:
"Unfortunately your device is neither rooted nor supports block mode, the program will now close" - and then it closes. Any fix? Asus Fonetab ME...
+Brian Cullen Same problem for me
+Brian Cullen Evidently, there is no answer. I have that issue as well. Seems this does not work for ANY Android smartphone.
+numbrabbit Works for my Galaxy Grand Prime
You should then try to root your phone and unlock a bootloader.
Also, getting a custom recovery app is very handy as well.
Just unlocked the bootloader and was about to root my phone to remove the Bloatware . Thanks for the video
why would i do all this crap just to disable the apps which i can do from my phone also..
the only way to remove system app bloatware is by rooting your device.
Are you SURE about THAT ?
@@Dracula.25 Try out in adb shell uninstall --k user 0 package name . But this will again installed after ota update
I can't disable any of the sh*tty apps from my manufacturer. That's why this method is somewhat effective for me. At least they would be hidden from my eyes.
@@NotTheRambo
Thumb down from misleading title. Disabling and hiding a bloatware program is not the same than removing (aka uninstalling), since you don't get the memory space it is occupying, it simply gets deactivated.
Not true. Watch the whole video.
Not even really deactivated. In many cases. he's just hiding the icon. Does not improve phone performance. Might cause weird problems?
Bob G I believe "deactivating" here means uninstalling the app, but keeping the _.apk_ in internal flash storage. So to launch the app again you have to go into settings to "enable" (install the app) to run it again.
think they let you off that easy? depends on the app.
Bob G No. If this program allows your phone you disable system apps, you can disable all system apps. Tyrannical roms like MIUI and most Chinese roms make disabling system apps very difficult becouse they earn by spying on users.
I came here having in mind to remove Facebook bloatware on my samsung device. Seems like you need to "update" your title so people like me wont be wasting their time.
highly agree. I"m here looking for a way to REMOVE facebook on my samsung phone
@@truthersunitereborn9982 what phone do you have? You should be able to permanently deactivate that one bro..
@@jamieian - I agree I should be able to but am unable to. I have the galaxy s6 edge. I got this second hand and it has tons of preloaded crap on it that use to constantly annoy me.
I've used adb to remove bloatwares for the user using adb shell.
But your method is easier for non-technical people.
Remove bloatware from Android .......

Can't get this to work on my G4. The ADB command works in terminal but as soon as I open debloater it won't recognize the device at all.
+techdude6693 Same thing with the Note 5
+techdude6693 +wake. you guys need to have your phones unlocked and wait until a dialog box (on the phone) opens up asking whether or not to authorize the computer to make changes. Same thing happened to me. If it doesn't open up, try switching the port you're using and restarting the debloater program. It might take a minute to pop up so be patient

You can disable most of these apps in android settings.
in my galaxy s8 i have 32 bloatware and i can disable only 15.
Now gonna test the meat... ive rooted mine now i can remove the bloatware
How?

I find it easier to go into settings, application manager, storage, and then clear the cache, then data (which returns it to its factory settings before any updates) then disable the app.
totally did not work on my samsung galaxy s5. waste of time and now i have a useless 153 mb application on my computer. lame.

Dude, you on speed? Curb your enthusiasm, your cadence, your speed.
Quick Question: if you bought a paid app from the google play store, and want your money back, can you just uninstall it and get it back? I uninstalled it from the play store but if you delete it permamently what happens?
1. What happens
2. How to delete it permamently?
If only I had read the comments, "it won't work with windows 10". I installed everything, and now opened the debloater, but it doesn't recognize my phone, and so it doesn't allow me to click on "read all packages" :(
+Benjamin Lagace Run it under compatibility mode as Administrator.
Good luck
No chance...Can do what I want, but don't get it connected...Don't know why???

there are options to block the unwanted apps in the apps section of most android phones from there we can disable most of the bloatware ..then why use this method ??
if u disable it still stays on the phone, that's why
+Imran Haque did you not see this video ??? he is clearly saying that the apps are being disabled not removed .using this method the app still remains on the phone internal memory ..the app just gets hidden .
Alan Joy i thought it removes them
+SaM 534 yes there is one way...
step 1: install kingroot app from xda dev page and root the phone .
Step 2: open kingroot app and uninstall all the bloatware .just be careful not to remove system apps .if you remove system apps your phone might get bricked
just remove app unwanted apps which is visible in the app drawer else don't remove .
Step 3: uninstall kingroot..and your phone will be unrooted and you will get back your warranty..!!!
+SaM 534 there is no use of force closing the apps.. it will start again after a restart of the phone..
disabling apps helps it frees ram since disabled apps wont appear in ram.but it does not free any space on the internal memory.. the internal memory will still be filled with the disabled app..!!
this debloater doesnt have a version for the galaxy s7... what a shame.
Ow thats why it didnt work also trying for s7 edge so just download EZ disabler and disable any apps with out root.

neither the s7 edge
root or not, you can't get rid of ALL of them, just because they become system apps.
use kingo root. on pc. connect ur phone enable usb debugging. make it root the phone.. then you can uninstall anything you wish if you use a good uninstaller.
