Honestly the Doraemon Phone was an 11/10. The attention to detail was amazing. It was not cheap looking, it perfectly matched the aesthetic of the actual anime.

That thing might get stolen or broken. If the back plate gets broken then you'll have to send it back to Xiaomi. Most repair shops don't carry parts for limited edition phones .
And it's made by Xiaomi , a Chinese company. Better make sure it will work outside China.
Another thing most limited edition phones that have a custom OS hardly get official Android O.S. updates. I highly doubt it'll go past Android 14. I have a Samsung Galaxy Y Hello Kitty edition. It never went past Android 2.3.

Its not cool at all. The phone itself has no doraemon referance except having blue rim. The charger could have atleast been blue but ig they didn’t bother? I’m not a big fan of Disney or Snow White, but the phone really went above and beyond and seemed like a passion project by people who really did love the source material.
I understand Arun has no idea about Doraemon so his rant is understandable, but I also expect enough research before throwing crap at something from a TH-camr who has almost 20 million subscribers. It's not that difficult either, a simple Wikipedia read of 2 minutes does it. Doraemon has been there since the 60s/70s, the jaggy framerate, relatively lower shading and copyright note are a reference to that.

I have watched Doraemon since I was a kid... since it was first broadcasted in the channel... so, yeah... I'm an old guy. But, I have to say, making a new phone to deliberately have a low framerate and a basic wallpaper design is an insult to the Doraemon name.
When the anime first came out, it was all the rage, and we didn't care about the quality of the picture because it was really good for us at the time... it was the best, in fact. But time changed, animation developed by leaps and bound. Doraemon is all about change and growth. Nobita grew, his friends grew... the basically became better versions of themselves.
Shouldn't a phone made as a homage to the name has its best version as well? Or should it simply depends on nostalgia to gain a fan base? Sorry to say, but I, a fan that has grown together with Doraemon, agree with the 2/10.
PS: Loving Doraemon doesn't mean that we have to love everything related to Doraemon...
