Pc gonna get dusty regardless, one will just collect dust faster. As a matter of preference I would rather have an open air design for thermals and hit with the compressor once a month 🤷♂️ Also open cases are nice and unique among the otherwise over populated tempered glass side panel with enough RGB to make Santa jealous
@@ryancragg2907 A small amount of thermal paste is good. All that's required is a thin film. An excess amount, like this guy is using, is never good. Think about what happens to all that excess goo when the CPU cooler is securely tightened down. That's right, the majority of that goo gets squeezed out and makes a mess.
They say it is Dust magnet but for me it is an easy cleaning PC. Just put that PC outside and then blow the dust away with your blower. No need to remove the parts. This is 10/10 for me
I really don't understand the concept of open air "case". It's cool (aesthetic and temp), but the main reason of using a case is to protect the components from debris and accidental bump (and spillage to some degree). Also it's gonna be a daily chore to clean the dust, and I'm too lazy for that.
@timeattackdrift4500 Besides my point. Accidental bump doesn't necessarily means you accidentally "kick" it with your feet. You could potentially smack it clean with your elbow (unrealistic but you know what I meant), or if you have pets, those devils will pretty much strike at anything. And by debris I mean something falling into it, small things like a screw, hair, etc. That could stuck in the gpu fan, and fry it. And this is not a pc case. It's more like a docking station built for hardcore overclocker and hobbyist to get easy access for the components.
I got a 500gb Samsung Evo drive that's over 12 years old and nearing 90K power on hours. I don't have any programs that can check its health anymore or what the storage capacity is now.

Woah it's indeed a nice test/benchmark platform. Don't even tried to run max setting game as you wouldnt even able to hear the game sound. Not a pc for me. Just a test/benchmark platform.
For me this is not ASMR, but that's not really my thing anyway. However I enjoy watching people build their different things, like PCs. The end result of this build is very nice! If I participated in LAN parties or meetups, that build would be good.

And how exactly would you go aboutz soundproofing an open dsesign like this? The cooler fan and PSU-fan should be quiet enough, but you won't be able to hear them over the sound of that GPU- fan, anyway, which will make exactly as much noise as wants to, and you will just have to listen to it.
I would love an open air case like this, but I just hate that they're so badly priced most of the time, like the material cost is cut to a fraction of a normal case, and there's less packaging costs since it's disassembled and you could fit 50 of these inside of the box a normal case comes in, why stuff like this out here costing 5x what a normal case does lol

Пыль постоянно будет присутствовать на всех компонентах такой сборки, а значит чистить вы его будете на регулярной основе. Отличный процессор кстати, у меня стоит такой же. Хорошо показывает себя в работе. Даже учитывая, что на дворе 2024 год.
А если места много и пофиг? А на счет пыли - так от нее и так чистить надо, а то, что она внутри скапливается и под корпусом ее не видно, то это так себе чистота. А какой лучше с учетом 24-го года? Надо что-то подобное
Неметаллическая пыль имеет обычно положительный заряд, Если придумать как корпус Пк постоянно держать под слабым зарядом со знаком+, то пылюка липнуть не будет...
PCs are dust magnets in general, at least with an open air build its easy to clean. I just hit mine with canned air once a week when I clean my room and it stays clean. My old enclosed PC collected dust like crazy and was a pain in the ass to clean. Ill never build an enclosed PC ever again.
you probably just dont know how to build an airtight negative pressure case. no offense. they make it easy nowadays, many cases come with air filters even.
Add a HEPA Filter air cleaner to the room and it gets much better. and filters over any heating ducts. Then just keep pets out of the room and you should be good.

I agree. At the very least thermal management is accounted for. As far as dust you can easily see when it is time to clean.😊

Fun fact the temperature of his pc can be controlled with open air flow and if he sits near the AC room or puts the pc near the AC there is no problem
Around 85 to 95 degrees for the CPU and 60 to 70 degrees for the GPU on games.

needs more cooling - ambient air aint going to cut it. A custom water loop would look sick on this setup.
