    My wee brother got one yesterday I took it to the work shop and swapped out the 8 speed set up for a 10 speed deore set up. He's loving it

    Got the gen 2 m 5 last April. First non department store bike for me. Our riding season is a little different in Canada, another month waiting for the snow to go. This winter I replaced the saddle and the grips, pedals are next to take care of the contact points. Tires I may have a year or two left with our short season. Shoveled the driveway yesterday, an hour later it needed to be done again. Calling for a foot on Thursday, hopefully the last blast, so I can trade the shovel for the bike and check out the upgrades.

    I have a Marlin 5 in my bike fleet and I’m going balls to the wall on the upgrades. The lifetime guarantee on the frame is a great thing and honestly I like to piss off the Marlin haters. 😂😆😜🤘✌️

    Wow. They actually came down since we bought my son one last year. We paid $700. It actually smokes my 5 year old Marlin 7 because the industry as a whole has changed since. Also. +1 on the Chesters and the XR2s are basically a coarse gravel tire with minimal grip on anything loose.

      The industry has changed a lot over the last several years. Today's technology and advancements are far superior to what we had even five years ago. It will be interesting to see what is released over the next 2 to 3 years. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video and leave your feedback. Both are sincerely appreciated.

    I would skip the dropper post and install a nice air Fork instead.... I would set the tires up tubeless instead of replacing the stock saddle .... pedals and grips yes replace them and when you wear out the stock tires upgrade to a nice set

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The rims that come stock with the marlin five are not tubeless-ready. He would have to purchase a whole new rim set. This is why we didn't suggest going to tubeless tires. Although, I do like where you were going with that. I am a firm believer that the entire world should be tubeless, lol.
      Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave your feedback, my friend. Both are sincerely appreciated.

    Got my marlin 5, 2 years ago. Not riding trails as much as i thought but i want to keep it around for when i do get the urge. Until i can save up for amother bike, does it make sense to change the marlin to a 1x? And maybe switch to a hybrid tire for the time being?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question, and thank you for asking, my friend. You can switch it to a 1x. This is basically personal preference. Understand, though, if you do this, you will need to make adjustments to the rear cassette. Other than that, I see no reason why you can't. As far as tires go, yes, by all means, change it to a style that is suited to what you are writing at the moment. You can always switch to a more aggressive tread later if you start hitting the trails.

    I have a marlin 5 and am thinking about getting that pine dropped post, which one would give me the most drop in the seat the 100mm or 90mm? Also is that something you guys would install in store if brought in?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, if you were to purchase any dropper post, Brandon and his team would be happy to install it for you. Bring the bike by the shop so they can measure your seat tube and give you the best options to maximize your drop.
