Nice! I just started getting into biking and I just built an old Trek Fuel...I was reading up on upgrading the Marlin 6 I have and was disappointed when some of the comments I read would say don’t waste your money on it, instead just buy a better one. I enjoy riding the Marlin and I will definitely go this route when I start doing the upgrades.

My impression of the M5 was that it could be a good base. I could buy the M6 , M7 , M8. But those may require some upgrades too. So why not start w the most affordable as a base ? Good video.

Nice!!👍 Great video. I see the video was three years ago. Are you still riding this bike? I was trying to decide if I want to do this to my Marlin 5 or buy a better factory specked bike. Considering that it does have a great frame with a lifetime warranty I may just build it up and that way I can take my time and buy the right parts as I need them.

Does my Marlin 5, 2021 with stock rim (Bontrager Connection, double-wall, 32-hole, 20mm width) support 2.4 tiers in both front & rear?
Should I change the stock inner tube for 2.2 tier?

HARUN-AR-RASHID Lemon I have a 2020 Marlin 5 and with the 2.35 in the rear it rubs against the front derailleur when you shift down to the smallest chainring upfront on the 3x. So I’m guessing you’ll have the same problem with a 2.4 in the rear.

As long as you get the same size I did it will fit. But if you have a bigger frame size than me, I wouldn’t get a 125mm post. Get bigger. You have to use their remote. The way the cable routes is backwards compared to other droppers. It comes with a cheap remote though. I still have it on mine and it works fine.
