Love it! I have a 93 stealth r/t.. It's been sitting at a repair shop downtown OKC the last 2 years.. i feel the guy isn't gonna ever get to it.. watching this makes me want it on the road that much more! Such fun cars
Get that thing out of that shop into someone who knows what the hell they’re doing! I regret giving away my 91 twin turbo because of a jacked up engine. I was a marine at the time and didn’t have much money and couldn’t afford to get it properly fixed so I just, signed it over after the second shop tour apart just to tell me I needed a new engine and I couldn’t afford the bill was like $1000 for the diagnosis. Nor could I afford a new engine. I miss that car!!!
Get it out of that shop man. Why would you leave it anywhere except your home for two years? They don't know what they're doing, if it's been there that long.
@@STEALTTH7Not necessarily. Td-04 turbos are limited in terms of airflow, and under maximum wastegate duty cycle runs out of air to compress in the 5k rpm range.
Man, this makes me miss mine even more than I already did. I had a Green RT/TT with 15G turbos, FMIC and piping, supportive fuel mods, etc. Mine unfortunately blew up on a dyno that looked just like this one when the tuning company over boosted the car on multiple pulls.
Loved my 92 RT. It got rebuilt with a host of HKS upgrades at the time, but after that, the 5spd transmission was not able to handle the power very well. Stripped the rear yoke output, then snapped 2nd gear, twice when it was only about 500hp. The later model with the 6spd was supposed to be stronger.
I was told by 3SX that tunning the 1st gens over 400hp would end in disaster because of the way the crank was made up of cheap metal. 2nd gen 94-96 got forged internals, including forged crank
@@JrodsGarage sure... But sadly im afraid its going to have to go to make room for and fund other projects. With only 89k on it, its just too nice to alter. But with the absurd amount of parts ive collected, ill find another one and build it as a driver. Cant imagine not having a 3S in the driveway now!!!
Question ? At the beginning you said it wouldn’t start and it was a common thing and you fixed it . I recently found a Dodge stealth r/t with only 63k miles on it. It’s been sitting up for a couple years . I’m getting no fire . I pulled plug the coil and only one of the ports showed power with a test light . Any idea what the issue could be ? ECU maybe ??
I have the same car here in Montreal. It runs. But not well. Mechanics here seem to believe it's a MAF problem. But I think it needs a MAP. Even though the harness has no plug for it. If you could verify for me whether your car has both. Or suggest an alternative issue. I'd be truly grateful
I've seen one rotting in my neighborhood, it's a 4g right? It's an Evo with different badges ❤ Love always been an Evo fan from my first ride in an Evo3 and they are high 200 hp.
Did you guys run the DR650s or 750s? I'm planning a similar route on a TT I picked up last Nov but I'm still straightening out all the random issues from the previous owners. Only 44k on it and it's a looker but the last owners were key turners, so I've been just getting everything straight first.
They are surprisingly quite motors even with straight pipe. But it's a grand touring car so it fits. I ran around for a week with just the down pipe while waiting on Exhaust parts to arrive back in the late 90s. No cat or catback and it was still much quieter than my Dad's old F250 Diesel with a custom exhaust.
Love it!

@@jimmywhitlow2012 it's now at my shop and motor being pulled to be sent for rebuild
@andrewbonica lol I had AAA bring it back to my shop..
Heck yeah, that is awesome on a basically stock car. You are right, mitsubishi could of easily made 400hp from factory.
Intake, exhaust, boost controller could pretty much get you there.

I had a Fiji blue 92 with DR800 turbo kit and built bottom end. Back in the day Matt at dynamic racing was the man.
DR800 kit from Dynamic was king back in the day

The 6speeds are much stronger. 25spline output

The 94+ do have a forged crank and 4bolt main. But 3sx was likely just trying to sell ya some parts
I know a few people that have successfully ran 450-500 awhp on stock bottom end 2 bolt motors, and they lasted a long time.
91-92 were weaker, but the 93 was built stronger with a 4 bolt main and forged crank. (93 was the best year in my opinion)
@@STEALTTH7 These cars are becoming very rare now.
Love it! "...only a half a turn that time" Really great for an MBC and a mostly stock car!
Just keep turning is my thoughts a mbc lol
Heck yeah. That’s awesome. Car sounds great. Always loved that color.
Good bit of juice for a two bolt!

I decided to keep my 92 stock except clutch and exhaust... This makes me want to build it again!!!
It’s such a simple recipe. And makes the car a blast

Wow nearly identical to my ‘92 Stealth. Only difference is that you’re making 450whp and I have no idea how much I’m making 😂
Lol
Stock is 305hp
There’s one that looks just like that abandoned at the outskirts of my town, I’m really hoping to be able to pick it up and give it life again
Makes me so excited to have my car back on the road in about a month!😭

Do a na-t series build

great simple setup

Is for sure pull the ecu. Check the caps. Check the PTU as well. It’s under the coil. That’s my bet.
The 3000GT VR4 was my absolute favorite car. My favorite model was the 94-98. I’m not a fan of the Combat Wing. Don’t care for the popups either.
94-98 it is for you then lol

Awesome, but if he's gonna launch it even a tiny bit hard you better start looking for a trans and a transfer case😔
