To get the etching out you can grab a compound polish with a high rpm buffer (air compression) and the water spots will come out. All in all, if you have to buy it all, it will cost a few hundred
Good to know, thank you. I’m always so scared to approach old paint like this...but I have to get over it. I have much to learn in the detailing skill set.
I have exactly the same car in the 1992 version mine has a few more miles runs good, but the engine light is on have not been able to find any one who can figure out what the issues is. I am in Michigan
Subscribed! Nice stealth! I couldn't really tell from the quick shots of the odometer but how many miles are on it? I would also recommend replacing the motor mounts if they haven't ever been replaced.
Andrew McIntosh thanks man! Yeah I’m super pumped to get this thing sorted. Its got just under 158k on the clock. I will certainly inspect the motor mounts, thanks for the tip.
Saw your reveiw and had to subscribe and come watch the build!! I picked up my 92TT for cheap...but it was in pieces!! Drivetrain out and stuffed into the interior... What a jigsaw puzzle!! But i bought the factory manuals the day after i brought the car home. After a full engine rebuild, some new ball joints, and fresh brakes... Shes amazing!! Have some electrical kinks to still work out, and tiny cosmetics, but having a fresh 89k mile Stealth RT/TT gets one thing off my bucket list too!!!!
The thing that aggravates me is when someone gets a stealth and changes the front end and spoiler to a 3000gt. Leave this classic car alone!!!
There should be a federal law against that!
@@autoobsessivegarage fully agree with that!!!
Subscribed !! i wanna see more of this stealth keep it up bro !
SMS570X thanks man...and that’s not even an option. More content is on the way.
I currently have a 1993 Dodge Stealth ES working on restoring
I have the original cassette deck but nothing else. Hard finds..

@@autoobsessivegarage thanks for the series btw. Looking into buying one from a guy. 47k miles, 0 wrecks, mechanically sound, $3,500
The y pipe looks aftermarket as well, just painted black. Stock are plastic.
It is aftermarket...good eye. The stock ones sometimes separate where the rubber and plastics meet, which is not an ideal place for a leak.

Don’t know off the top of my head, but nearly all OBD1 cars have some way to read codes by jumping certain fuses.

Have you had an issues with it going into limp mode via tcm issues?
Never. Truthfully, it always ran like a champ.
@@autoobsessivegarage Thanks. I gotta get some help with that issue on my 91 rt automatic DOHC
