All of Suzuki's technology was stolen from Walter Kaaden who ran MZ. Ernst Degner who raced and worked on the MZ race bikes escaped east Germany taking all Walter Kaaden's technical secrets to suzuki. Ernst degner can be seen in the photo at 4.10 standing behind the trophy. Theres a great book called stealing speed by Mat Oxley that tells the whole story.
See if my comment gets removed. For a channel that's called 2 stroke exhaust i would be very suprised if they didn't know about Walter Kaaden and his invention/development of the 2 stroke expansion chamber exhaust.
Thanks for sharing this. The first machine sound (at Motegi race track) sounded like an awful angry baby. The second one sound like it said "run, run, run, run!". Facinating engineering work! Kudos to these guys!
Indeed. At that era the prestige capacities were 350 and 500cc. Nobody much was interested in anything else. The problem for Suzuki was that their achievement didn't translate into bikes people could buy the next week, like the MVs, Nortons and Matchless. And in fact both MV and Norton went downhill as Honda came along.
Unreal power/liter. A BMW 1000 RR is 200 bhp/liter for comparison and this is in 1969. Go look at the power of a nitro fuel rail power/liter at the time.
There was absolutely NOTHING insane about Suzuki's engineering, it was normal two-stroke practice, as used by MZ and Yamaha, amongst others. Why are these videos about old racing technology nearly always made by people who really know practically NOTHING about it?

I made a similar reply to this video and it has disappeared. Wonder why??

@@voodoochild800 I think it's a click bait site, probably thrown together with some of this AI nonsense.
Absolute and utter nonsense, always spouted by people who know absolutely NOTHING about the history of motorcycle racing!
You can't steal from the Commies. Nobody owns anything and they're destined to remain unhappy. Case solved.

380 cv au litre en 1968, sans turbo, ni compresseur, c'est encore aujourd'hui de la science fiction ! 😮😮😮
C'est incroyable!
The two stroke noise 5:38 is just music to my ears
5:40 the life of that clutch wouldn't be great.
The isle of man had many engine size categories, and the 50cc was the smallest. It was NOT the only class of bike.
Thats correct

Different fuel doesn’t make it relevant
Nitro engines use different fuel...it's not a fair comparison...apple and oranges
Apple and oranges
Anti spiral

Do you know any other bike with 14 gears? If it wasn’t good engineering video how did they win every single race of the season
Do you make this shite up? 2L v-twins make 5 hp? You are so wrong. You are scary.
This must be before 1914.
