    Thank you for letting us know about that trick with the M12 inflator.
    I'm just wondering how many folks might have been left stranded because they didn't know about it. Granted, likely not many. But imagine relying on Milwaukee's incredible reputation for quality and reliability, needing that inflator one night, and it doesn't work. Most folks would just pull out the battery, pop it back in without holding down the power button first. Still doesn't work, and then the fear sets in on them (depending on where they are and how bad the situation is).
    I mean, I'm sure Milwaukee knows about that odd glitch that occurs once in an extremely rare while. They should include a card in every box with *"ATTENTION:"* written on it, along with an explanation of how to fix the issue if it ever comes up while a customer needs to use the M12 inflator.

      Glad I was able to help! Yea I agree they have to know about the issue and would be nice if they either fixed or told new customers how to resolve. I know there are negative reviews out there where people have this exact issue and think the inflator is dead and either return or throw away. It's happened to me multiple times and I'm sure others will have it happen at some point. Other than that, it's been a great compact inflator.

    Good video I have both and I noticed also that the M18 did stop pumping air at intervals on my pickup and when I did a smaller vehicles it did not pause 🤔 and that pause is important when you are in cold 🥶 temperatures. For the most part I am satisfied with them and they do go out of calibration also and you have to calibrate them .

      Glad you liked it! Yea I have noticed that the M18 does pause more in the cold temperatures, however it always gets to the correct PSI. I have no complaints as well as they both work well for a battery operated inflator.

      I have the M12, how do you calibrate this unit?

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@kphee Typically this unit doesn't require any calibration, however if the value reads greater than zero when not connected, the pressure sensor may have drifted due to altitude or other factors. To reset: with nothing connected to the inflator, hold down the power button and press the '+' 3 times to reset the pressure to zero.

      Agreed that is a good feature! I also did a separate video on the Dewalt version as well: th-cam.com/video/Ofyj3cjiWeQ/w-d-xo.html

    There is no comparison, ive had 2 -12v and i just got the m18 and wow what a difference! Just get the m18 trust me. U can do all 4 tires with the m18 before the m12 will do 1

    Hold in the + or - button and it adjusts in 5 psi increments.

      Yup agreed, mentioned at 13:01. It does make it a little quicker to get to the desired psi.

    What I get from this is that for the extra cost the M18 version offers no significant extra value for the average homeowner that just wants to be able to top off their car tires and fill the occasional ball for the kids.

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yea this M12 is more than sufficient for most task topping off tires, balls etc. The M18 is definitely quicker, however it's not always required as you mentioned.

      I have heard people say if you are using the M12 for 4 or more tires it can overheat, while the M18 has better cooling and can work for a longer duty cycle. But you are right if you're just topping up tires and filling balls occasionally this is probably not an issue. If you have time to let it cool for 10 minutes on a more difficult task, then I am sure it will also work fine without degradation to the pump's lifespan.
