    wow did not expect so many people to watch this however what i did to fix this was i put new plugs in, rebuilt the carb drilled out the adjusting screws and that fixed it. i was only firing on one cylinder and that was why it sounded that way. the way i found this out was by puttin my hand at the end of the muffler and feeling the kickback of air in the muffler and the heat on the mufflers. the one was cold and no little to no kickback.

    If your bike is bogging out upon acceleration, check your air filter. Make sure it’s seated properly. If it’s not, it’s might be that your bike is not getting proper AIR RESTRICTION.
    Remember to check the gasket on the filter too, and the air filter box also.

    My front was running rich and missing bad. After taking the carburetors out 5 times it turned out to be the choke plunger

    Sounds like your only firing on one cylinder. Check your plugs

  • @parsineo

    You’re running on one cylinder. You likely have a carb or ignition issue. My Shadow has run exactly like this when the carbs need to be gone thru properly and rebuilt. Change the plugs while you have everything apart for good measure.

    Hopefully someone sees this, Honda shadow 750 from 1983 bogs like crazy I can’t even get it past 60mph on the highway. I’ve replaced the fuel line, bought the bike with only 5000 miles

    • @chazrichards4804
      @chazrichards4804 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok you want to take it to a honda shop for a diagnosis of the problem . Then you can work on it yourself or have them fix the issues

      I actually got this problem yesterday on my 1100 shadow spirit, what was the diagnosis because right now around 55-60 it changes the sound and sounds like it’s gonna explode and my acceleration sounds like I’m running out of fuel

      yes i fixed it by rebuilding carb (which was not necassary) and replacing the plugs which was the real issue in my opinion. It was only firing on one cylinder and that was why it sounded that way. the way I found this out was by putting my hand at the end of the muffler and feeling the kickback of air in the muffler and the heat on the mufflers. the one was cold and no little to no kickback.

      it was popping and backfiring because 1 cylinder was going lean, did you end up having to pull the carbs and go through them again to fix it?
