Same!! I have been desperately looking looking for a way to redo my kitchen countertops. I saw this look on Pintrest but had NO IDEA it would be so simple. Thank you!!
People always think videos like this are for people who are on a budget who can't afford a "better" reno. However the people who can throw money at something miss the opportunity to look at what's there with new eyes. What you did isn't only budget, it's also ecologically responsible and just as nice as if everything was purchased new. I love that you painted the shower hardware. People need to start looking at what they already own with pride and new eyes. THAT is worth something. Upleveled houses are so much better than "bought it all new but couldn't afford quality" Reno's.

The house we bought has carpet in the restroom including around the toilet 🤮 it’s on the top of our list to fix. I have no idea why they ever thought that was a good idea.
When my parents built our home in 1985 we thought the carpet felt so soft and luxurious. Admittedly there wasn’t much foresight, but we had 8 years of coziness that the poor next family inherited. Now I have the biggest bath rug that I can fit in my washer. Still love stepping out of shower on to a plush, fluffy surface.
Holy smokes that looks amazing for under 500$ I still can't believe they had carpet in the bathroom 😮 I would die it looks like a whole different bathroom love it

You are so blessed to have a husband that is so talented , gifted, smart....and No disrespect!!! Fine!!!! he is too cute!! 😊 God bless you guys...turned out Beautiful😘💖👍
My husband made me a Oak kitchen bar. He used 2 - 1/2 inches pieces of ply wood with the top piece being Oak ply wood. Then before the varnish stage he use oak veneer and went around the edge. Then the varnish (same as you did it) over all of it. The bar has held up to everyday use for over 7 years. Oh he used Liquid nails between the two pieces of ply wood and clamped it together. Your work and bathroom are gorgeous!
This is absolutely the best bath reno I've seen. Totally fits all my eclectic styles. Going to be my signature reno for all my rental houses to come. With respect to you two, of course. I would probably only change from peel and stick flooring to faux wood for durability. Great taste guys! And thank you for sharing.
Being handy is such a blessing. My husband is not but is awesome with paperwork. That's fine but every time I want to do a DYI I'm told no it won't work. It's frustrating. Your remodel is beautiful.
You young folks are doing a great job. Sad there are some negative comments from folks that want to criticize and think they know better. Keep up the excellent work. Looking good.

I don't even know where to start. The room is beautiful. Love that you kept the mirrors. Countertop is gorgeous! Brick wall adds so much character. I just love everything about this bathroom.
You can also avoid chipping on the finished surface by cutting with the revealed finished surface facing down circular saws tend to chip the top of whatever you’re cutting especially plywood opposed to the bottom
Awe, sick brick wall. Yes! I agree with you on the grey. I love the white shiplap! Great idea on the hanging light. I'm thinking about doing this to our bathrooms in the little home we bought. Oh man, that counter! Nice job. You guys have given me sooooo many great ideas for our new little home. Loving it!

The faux brick wall is gorgeous.. Could it be used as a kitchen backsplash? We are hesitant to do real brick for cleaning purposes... but.. this looks like a cool option!
Love the hanging light fixture. Great idea 👍 When I first saw your husband with no mask, it freaked me out a little cuz my husband actually died from not wearing a mask while working. I heard on someone else’s video that the smell of that paint was almost unbearable. I was happy to see him use the mask after a few minutes 😌

This is what I was thinking. A lot of.. not so moisture-durable materials. The wooden countertop mostly. I’d be so paranoid about dropping water and toothpaste, etc. there’s a reason wood countertops aren’t commonly used in bathrooms… and the panels seem like a perfect place for moisture to get trapped. Not that this doesn’t LOOK nice, but doesn’t seem practical.
@@tillydeno6647 You do realize all of the cabinets are made of wood, or worse mdf? He put multiple top coats(probably meant for bathrooms, etc) on the counter top. A lot of great ideas on a budget for sure.
@@tillydeno6647 A home remodeler I know says ALL bathrooms will have mold if you take them apart, without exception. Your plain sheetrock painted walls are not immune to moisture.
This bathroom turned out amazing!! It is night & day!! Love all the white, the German Schmear technique on the brick, mixed with the warm tones of the stained wood... just fabulous!! In fact, I love this so much there's only 1 thing I would have done differently and that's kept all metal finishes black (faucet & toilet paper holder) to match the shower fixtures & light. Usually I watch a video & there's a handful of things I would have done differently (personal preference), but not this one. You guys did a phenomenal job & it looks absolutely fabulous!!
Looks great! We redid our bathroom last year for under $500 as well. Painted the cabinets white with black chrome handles, Carrara marble epoxy kit on the countertop and sink from stone coat countertops(this is the way to go on bathroom and kitchen counters imo!), vinyl plank flooring, new lights, stick on stone backsplash and a gray paint on the walls and man it looked like it belonged in a million dollar home! Loved it, then we moved and now I’m doing our new bathroom after finding the floor rotted under the toilet….
At first the installation with all the different textures, I thought “too much!” But after seeing everything done with the crisp white, it looks so good! Nice job y’all!
This is such an impressive true low budget renovation!! So many DIY Renos I’ve seen on TH-cam are way out of my budget, thanks for all of the ideas and inspiration. Your bathroom looks beautiful.

My only difference of opinion would be leaving the corian window sill which I like and put in my own house. Great job!
You are so blessed to have a husband that is so talented , gifted, smart....and No disrespect!!! Fine!!!! he is too cute!! 😊 God bless you guys...turned out Beautiful😘💖👍
Girl lol
Go take a cold shower you pervert.
@@trufantom21 Wow...no pervert, just complimenting talent and beauty!😘💖👍

that's a thing a pervert would say.

The room turned out beautiful. I wish more people would redo and reuse instead of buying more! Lots of work but it sure paid off. Thanks for sharing
Would you mind checking out our page as well??? We'd love your feedback!
I have watched this video a few times and I have to say, you did such a great job. The bathroom is absolutely beautiful!
TH-cam recommended this video and I saved it to my “watch later” list. Glad I did! I Love this transformation. New sub here!
Florida Hotboy you are right. It was a great DIY project.
That countertop is so nice!! The whole bathroom looks completely different & so good
This is Beautiful....I feel like this video was meant just for me to see....This is EXACTLY what I have been trying to show my husband what I want our bathroom remodel to look like. Thank You so very much for sharing yours. Great explanations and info.
This is great! Not everyone has $20K to bring in a designer and contractor to redo a bathroom. You have given people who want to DIY a way to redo a bath yourself and still have it look great in the end.
I've watched your video several times now ... every time I'm just amazed. Very good decisions and work.
I love how you did the bricks with the spackling!! Very cute!!
Amazing. The designs are very creative and beautiful. I also decorate the rooms with furniture on the website:daisycorners.com/. There are also interesting furniture products here. The rooms have completely changed when decorated.

I don't even know where to start. The room is beautiful. Love that you kept the mirrors. Countertop is gorgeous! Brick wall adds so much character. I just love everything about this bathroom.
ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loving it!
I have to say it, on your budget your wife and yourself.did an absolutely unbelievable renovation on the washroom. Especially the conditions, in which you started in. You guys take a big bowe, and be very PROUD OF BOTH OF YOU.God Bless you both. amen
The baby wipes though...thought I was the only one using these during my projects!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This turned out so good. I love the faux brick wall covering and the ship lap
This video just saved me a TON of money.
The materials you chosen, the brick, shiplap and wood elements just work so well together to look authentic.
This is awesome! I love what you've done with what was an eye sore to what's now absolutely beautiful! I'd be so happy to go use that bathroom everyday! I wish I had that amount of counter space. Nice job guys!

Be good to know 1.5 years later how durable the materials were.
Well if you’re budget is this low that’s to be expected. You can’t afford quality material with a $500 budget.
@@tillydeno6647 HomeDepot has PVC paneling that looks like brick and stone. It's plastic.
The bathroom is absolutely really good for the price paid. I especially love the brick backsplash.
Everything looks gorgeous but totally LOVE that countertop!!!
Rustic bathroom. I like it!!! Everything turned oft beautiful.
WOW!!! That shower looks so great!! 😮
Wow you guys are awesome. Another beautiful transformation.
At first the installation with all the different textures, I thought “too much!” But after seeing everything done with the crisp white, it looks so good! Nice job y’all!
Needed this! No fluff just practical to the point and so helpful. I have two bathrooms to reno so I’m ready now thank you guys! 😊💪🏼
This is such an impressive true low budget renovation!! So many DIY Renos I’ve seen on TH-cam are way out of my budget, thanks for all of the ideas and inspiration. Your bathroom looks beautiful.
Omg, I love how it turned out!!! Y’all did great! I love the counter top!!
I did the peel and stick with my mothers bathroom and used liquid nail to help it stay down.
these gave me some ideas but I'd not have used that for the vanity -- I'd have gone with something like Waterlox instead for proper waterproofing.
Amazing transformation on a budget! Looks like a different bath! Enjoyable to watch! Thanks for sharing!
You guys are adorable, what a team. Love how this bathroom turned out specially the counter top.
You and your husband make a good team. Nicely done, and great tips throughout.
The two of you do such beautiful work and seem to work really well together. You are both very talented and it certainly shows in the work you do. I have just recently found your channel and I have been watching all of your videos, of course I have subscribed and I wish there was a love button because I would press it all the time.. But I always like, because what’s not to like!
Wow. Just wow! I want to just follow step by step with this remodel. It came out beautifully
Thanks for this video, since my husband and I saw it we have done our bathroom a lot like yours. We both really loved the counter top idea and did the same thing! Thanks for sharing!
P. S. Also the window idea, ours looks the same!!!
Can we have an update how the shower paint holds up in a few months or so?
Hope it held up, I did that with my mothers bathroom shower and it started to peel after 3 months
Our rental the paint came off too. It looked so horrible.
It needs more coats than that and proper curing time - waaay longer than the manufacturer's instructions request. Once done properly, it's bomb-proof.
I used gripper primer from H.D. and painted with a gloss exterior paint. No issues.
Did mine a year and a half ago to save money. I have one small chip that happen last week. Probably depend on the brand. I heard some last up to 3 years. Also depend if you have hard water. We have a water softer so I'm sure that helps. We were saving for a complete bathroom makeover. So im happy with it knowing the max life is 3 years for $40
OMG guys, ya'll have me wanting to re-do our whole house with these videos....so much talent
The outcome looks super expensive. The lil trimmings added to the window gave a new vibe. I love it. Congratulations
This looks great, idk how I feel about how the wall turned out, but still it looks great
How did I get so obsessed with this channel? Only 3 videos in and I'm already subscribed. 😂 HGTV be sleepin on you guys. ❤️
Wow absolutely beautiful.. what a difference...you really don't have to rip stuff out...just think outside the box...and you both really did.
