- This renovation had been in the works for months and we are so excited to share it with you all! We say this with each new project, but we really think this is our best work yet! Let us know what you think of the transformation and what you may have done differently in the comments. We are in love with the final result and really enjoy our new shower and vanity. Other than the vanity countertop, we did everything ourselves and couldn't be prouder!

I'll be the internet today and say! Ya know people pay for vintage bathroom tubs, sinks and toilets in fun colors! Yall could have just posted them on FB and someone would have taken them! Hell they may have even taken them out of the bathroom 4 u! New bathroom looks great tho!
We thought about it, but everything was in such rough shape. We didn't want to pass it along to someone else and create problems for them later down the line

Really good job in terms of planning and labour. I really like the bathroom vanity, the hardware and mirrors. Unfortunately, I really dislike all the tiles, especially in the shower but different people have different taste! The vanity is something you could find in a 10 million home, the tiles look like leftovers from a dollar store. You guys look happy and that's all that matters!

@@GoldenKeyDesign Probably either a whiter white that doesn't look yellow in the bathroom or a soft charcoal that ties in with the tile. I think it might look better next to the door than the green. Idk. It's your bathroom and it turned out great. 🙂

Great project. No shortcuts here. Good call on the cast iron tub demo. Funny that you ended up with holes into two other rooms. Had to be done. Again, great job. So much better/real than HGTV reno videos.

Maybe the tile border came into play to pick up the little cutoffs at the ceiling. Brent Hull puts his chair rails at 30 inches above the floor. I would place the cutoffs there and see if I liked it. You guys are really very good. I don't do my own projects lately so nothing gets done. 😂

Looks great! I think I would have painted the walls a warm charcoal color to tie it into the sinks/counter, but I like a moody color palette.

23:07 Green walls in a bathroom with the green cast of fluorescent lights (though, yes, everything is LED now) could tend to give you a sickly appearance. I prefer more neutral whites with color added through towels and other decor.

Great question! Grant wanted glass and Bianca wanted a curtain. So we went with a curtain 😂 Glass was definitely more expensive and a permanent decision. While a curtain is a low investment and can also be switched to glass. We may go the glass route in the future

Thank you!! I learned everything from TH-cam pretty much. For more technical stuff, I usually browse forums. If I feel uncomfortable doing something, I'll hire it out to a pro, watch, and learn how to it so I can do it myself the next time. I am always trying to broaden my knowledge and learn something new with every project!

What grout did you use for your green tile. We are using the same tile and would love to know what you used! Bathroom looks fantastic.
Crazy awesome that you two did this by yourselves. Is grant a licensed to do plumbing/electrical/carpenter? Just curious if a person can do this himself without all the red tape.
If it makes you feel better i work in construction and the mudding takes a long time they do 4 layers
