Staying in frame would definitely be nice!

It would be nice if you actually did the folding in front of the camera...I’m watching and all of a sudden everything is done out of the view of the camera.

Don't keep them out in the sun. It causes the nylon to become brittle. Keep them out of the light in an IFAK or pouch to prevent this.

Great video, Bryan. I just started carrying the swat-t instead of the sof-t in my left leg lower pocket. Your folding trick will make it work much better for daily carry! Keep up the great work Sir!

This is an excellent space saver, especially for ankle sleeve carry. I
am, however, concerned with the stress on the buckle with it in a
    vertical position instead of flat.

I'm struggling with the latest iteration of SOFTT-W from Tac Med. It does not fold as neatly as the previous generation TQ. You end up with some extra at the final fold. I'm guessing the newest Gen is slightly longer than the previous Gen. So instead of folding the tail in on itself one time at the very end, I added another fold to it. It still comes out much flatter than how the TQ is originally packaged.

Informative video but very annoying that the tourniquet is out of shot at the top of the screen a lot of the time. Readjust the camera position please :-)

Important note: many of these will come with the initial fold near the hardware D ring bit in a different spot. I spent MONTHS trying to get the flatfold right to carry on my phlster flatpack carrier and was always having issues, not noticing that I had to force a new fold in the TQ

it's pretty great. it doesn't conceal on my body that well due to my clothing but nobody really notices

How would you recommend if I don't have the rubber bands that you're product comes with.

Genius. Does this folding method slow down deployment of the TQ compared to how it comes from the supplier?

It rather speeds the process of deploying up if you know what you're doing.

Although It doesnt' work perfect for it, I was able to do this with my regular SOFTT tourniquet. It isn't as thin but it reduced the space the tourniquet took up in my med pouch.

Link to ITS store for the tourniquet seems to be broken. Or it didn't work for me at least.

Thanks. I just bought a CAT carrier. I couldn't shove the tourniquet into that carrier to save my life. First 30 seconds into your video, I seen what the finish product should look like. Problem solved.

A good space saver but also facilitates strapping it to a shoulder strap on your battle rifle so if you take a hit while in a fire fight you have fast, unrestricted access to your tourniquet. Could save your life. I have one attached to all my rifles, even hunting, as you never know when you may have an incident. Still to many hunting safety incidents occur and complacency is deadly.

A good tutorial other than you keep moving your hands and the tourniquet out of frame while you are doing the folding.

Haters gonna hate. The important points were in frame and instructions were clear. If you can’t extrapolate from incomplete data… anyway, only criticism I have is that I do not recommend using rubber bands to stow a tourniquet inside a pouch. Get a decent pouch, flat fold your tourniquet, and then stow it in the pouch. No rubber bands (unless you use rubber bands to secure it to your gear, butt stock, etc). It should come out of it’s method of attachment ready to deploy without having to remove anything from it. Other than that great video!

Maybe you should record yourself actually folding it, instead of the bottom half

  • @arvykins
    @arvykins ปีที่แล้ว

Every time you stop talking about a fold and actually do it; you lift your hands off camera. Did you watch this video after you made it? Better yet did you get a novice to watch it and see if they could follow it?
