      Yes, we agree. And we believe that wages should be higher. Even us are using TH-cam to create a side business so that we can increase our household income. You have to fight to make it now and days.

    You two should do a video asking locals about what they do for a living down here. What is the best neighborhood to live in? I think transplants will say downtown, Brickell, mid town etc. Natives might say something else. Hit up some of the events coming up. Favorite beaches, restaurant, negatives of living here besides rent lol.

      As a native I’d say Coral Gables is the best place to live. Safe area with a bunch of nice bars and places to eat. Also the city itself is always trying to host events. Only 15 minutes away from Downtown and you can take the metro rail to get there which is a lot cheaper than parking/Ubers. Really don’t need a car in the area if you find a job there as well. Pricey but not as crazy as places like Edgewater and Brickell. More down to earth people who aren’t trying to spends bands every night to flaunt their wealth lol.

    . Great video Ahhh I remember when Miami wasn't expensive, Brickell was nothing but banks and like 3 apartment complexes, Wynwood was nothing but overtown 2.0 & had nothing but warehouses, and the hottest mall in Miami was the omni international mall(Biscayne Blvd & 17th Street) . Ahh the 90s and very early 2000s...what a time

      Be born to a wealthy family in a semi-rural area with cheap land where your family owns the land between generations. Use your intergenerational wealth to go to school for law, business, or computer sciences. Develop a nauseating consumerist lifestyle. Move to Miami while "working from home" making over six figures.

    I was born and raised in Miami and I worked a pretty decent job however rent was so high there was nowhere to afford so I literally had to move to a whole another state otherwise I would be working but I have nowhere to live. It's crazy expensive and most of these people either have roommates or they have high paying jobs other than that you have to move to like Jacksonville or Tampa or Tallahassee or maybe even Orlando just to find something somewhat decent

    Loved this interview concept! Something I took away is if that lady who’s a lawyer & her husband who owns a business is saying it’s expensive, then it’s expensiveeeeee I’m pretty sure if they weren’t tied down to their business’s they probably would have left. I like the up north suggestion for people who want best of both worlds. Miami isn’t so far from Aventura or Ft Lauderdale.

    The problem with Florida it's one of the lowest pay rates in the country and they keep raising costs...so for local income it's expensive but for remote workers with California or New york pay rates and now you have no state. taxes so you keep more of your pay it's lovely......the homie from L.A kept it 1000%%%% west up!!!lololol

    • @beyondthebeach_
      @beyondthebeach_  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is true. I just did research on your comment and the state of Florida's annual minimum payment increase based on cost of living restarts in 2026. This is due to a Constitutional amendment created in Florida on 2004. As an example, here are the state minimum payouts in the future:
      $12 eff. 9-30-23
      $13 eff. 9-30-24
      $14 eff. 9-30-25
      $15 eff. 9-30-26
      Got a little carried away with this, but nevertheless, yes it costs a lot to live nicely in Miami. Simply because the market price is high.
      What are the living cost like in L.A? I recall LA being pretty expensive too.

      @@beyondthebeach_ All good bruh...yeah that's why cali raised the min wage to $15 an hour now 2023 will be $22 and hour.. the cost of living is crazy and on top of it, we have the largest. state tax in the country ...my 6 fig income they take out over 5 grand a month now imagine an extra 5 grand a month in Miami ...once I move there plus my income is high for FL...this is why so many tech and businesses are moving from Cali to texas and some of my fellow tech heads are living in Miami because the cost is lower keeping all. your state income it's a win...when I say lower I mean Miami can be expensive, but you get more space for it compared to L.A/NYC.. the places I'm looking at in Mid-city /Edgewater overviewing the water go from 1,900.-2,600 for a view of the water in lux apartments in L.A You looking at 4 racks starting that's a studio

      Very few entrepreneurs. Many people here are living 6 in a two bedroom or 4 in a one bedroom condo at the icon. They all lease their Hyundais and work regular jobs as severs. Although when you meet them on the street they call themselves “working professionals” and by that they mean they have a real estate license and are just waiting to sell a home they aren’t even listing to collect a check for $7k so they can continue to pretend they’re rich. Miami is by far the fakest city in the entire world.

But now in 2023 you can hardly find studios (max 2 people) & efficiencies (only 1 person) for 1200 usd, a 1bd apt gor 1800 usd and 2bds for 2,200 usd. It’s crazy. The minimum wage is 11 per hour. A person working full time at 15 usd per hour can’t live alone. It’s simply impossible to survive. And besides the rent all the food cost the double than two years ago. It’s time to leave this city. It has being invaded by rich people from Commifornia and New Yuck. We lost.
