Does the soap keep the paint from completely trying? For some reason I feel the soap might react to touching with hands and smear the paint. Or leave fingerprints.
Cool, just found your channel and although I do armor models, your technics are awesome and will work for me. I love painting and weathering which makes models look real. Jesus Saves
Great video, that convinced to definitely give these a try. My only question is how do you seal the effects after you are done? I would like to be able to use additional layers of effects on top.
Hey Lincoln, I use the pencils for scratches a lot but I have issue after varnishing, it « hides » most of the fine scratch, both with matt and gloss varnish. Do I put to much varnish you think or the pencil pigments are just not strong enough? Did you have similar issues?
@@PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright That’s a bummer, really hoped that I was doing something wrong, I like doing sratches with them, easy, fast and realistic but heartbreaking when you see almost all of them dissapear after varnishing...
Hey Lincoln! I was wondering if you've ever used the makeup sponge method of painting an entire kit? There's a youtuber called "Healing Pla" that does it and the result is actually pretty nice. Probably the closest I've seen to an airbrush quality but without an airbrush. If so, you should show people how to do it! It's fairly cheap as you really don't need special brushes or anything.
Wow, pencils appear super easy to use. I'm sold!
Maybe a couple for fun and variety 😊👋
Nice video Lincoln..... Yes, the pencils work great as a Filter too... 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Have several of these pencils and this video has really given me some help on how to use them.
Wonderful, thank you John!
Outstanding camera work. Very easy to follow. Thanks!

Used in this way would a wash/shade paint work very similarly?
Ah I see the dot filter application later could be useful for us none oil paint users.
Yes I think they are just paint. I was able to get similar effects with the bottles stuff too. 😂

Yes I am for some of the work and have captured the steps to publish for you - working on it!
I would use varnish
Very cool tutorial! Love it! I have this set and I needed this lesson. Thanks sensei!
Most welcome!

Same issues here. I apply varnish and then redo some effects.

Fails are what become the next hot technique.

Will check it out, thanks!
Funny when you speak normally, it seems like you’ve picked up a tinge of Japanese accent. But when you go full-on bogan...man.
