Great video. Shame you didnt do a sound test.
ESP-01 was designed as WiFi network adapter, not as a controller board. You won't be able to use SPI to communicate with the shift registers. Although, you can do bit banging with GPIO pins.
It's better to go with esp12f for the project.

insted of using relays we can use triac and opto based switiching supply a short and cheap method of ssr

What about if we use triac for switching
Triac as switch are very common in now days and its drives high power than traditional relays , by using triac ,size of current module is decreased by 1/3.
8:05 hf46f is not 10A relay it's only 5A. search for the datasheet it only stays 5Aat 250v

Another bad feature of SSR is when its fails its normally closed. That's not a problem with normal relay
