Although you can still order a new Infiniti Q60 or Q50, Nissan has decided to not make a new gen Q60. This is an end of era for the Inifinit Q60 or Q50, but clearly not for the new Nissan Z which just launched with the same VR30 engine but this time with a 6 Speed manual option.
In this video we take a look at the Infiniti Q60 RS what made this an important car.
Special thanks to Jim for lending us his beautiful and clean 2022 Infiniti Q60 RS.

Thank you Sam for the proper send off for the Q60, was a great opportunity to take part in the video shooting process and this will be an amazing keepsake for me. I really enjoyed the casual conversation you presented here about the car, talking about its strengths and weaknesses that you presented in the video here. There has been a ton of Q50 Q60 reviews online and while most have a critical tone, this car hits you in the feels having a G35 back in the day, so this presentation was a different way to talking about a car that we are all familiar with.
In fairness though, it was time for Infiniti to send this off to pasture. While I did buy it new, this car is not equipped with DAS and the ProActive package, the sticker was 68k+taxes and fees which frankly made it a good deal for what it is. The fully speced Q60 after taxes easily gets you near 80k CAD. An overpay for sure, a good off lease Q is what you want if you want to get into these. This one just kicked me in the face and the terms on the floor model were comparable to a 2019 Q60 I tested. Find out what options work best financially before ignoring the possibility of new.
For those asking or wondering, the colour is called Slate Grey, the wheels are 20's on Bridgestone Potenza tires. The factory Infiniti I-Line package featured the Red Sport 400 base trim with special I-Line badges (I swapped em for the tradition S 3.0t badges) blacked out grille, black mirror caps, black brake vent trim on side fenders and a carbon fibre deck spoiler with a sport exhaust from Vibrant Performance. My detailer and friend Bogdan Opinca at OmniAutoDetailing wrapped the car completely in Xpel PPF (including a special front windshield PPF) and added a 5 year IGL ceramic coating. NeonNine Design wrapped the chrome window trim in a black vinyl and tinted the windows 20% all around. To start the FBO process my pal Pete Romani at The RacersEdge Canada hooked me up with BMS billet intakes, BMS high capacity intercooler, AAM 3" catted non resonated LDP's and their 3" catback exhaust with 5" polished exhaust tips installed at DesiAuto in Brampton Ontario by Tan Budwal and his team. So far I am pleased with the car and feel kinda lucky to be driving the last of its kind. Looking forward to what the Z has to offer with the VR30 in it and frankly how this will compare when lined up next to it (sometime down the road I'm sure)
    As Sam says, Lets Roll!

For the straight line speedsters the 9 speed AT could potentially wake up the Qs immensely from their handicapped 7 speed at

i had a 2010 G37 coupe.then i had a C5 Corvette and a Mustang GT Premium. I just replaced that with a new leftover 2022 Q60. I think it combines the best of all my previous cars. Fast, comfortable and beautiful. I had read all the critical reviews by the experts. But i noticed everyone who owned the car loved it. I am only disappointed the 2022 is the last one.

To be fair, I think the beginning of the end was renaming the G line. It’s a cult car, and Infiniti’s failure to understand that really showed they didn’t value the model or it’s huge car culture. It’s also why the car stopped innovating and got stale. I’m sad to hear this but not surprised. I still drive my 2010 G37 convert regularly. Love it, will never sell.

Huge Nissan-Infiniti fanboy, I'm on my 2nd Q50. I had a 14' 3.7 and now I have a 19' 3.0S I love it. Yes the technology is somewhat outdated but you could say the same about the Lexus IS & Acura TLX. At least the Q's looks inside and out are undeniable and are almost ageless at this point. Nearly a decade later and both the Q50 and Q60 are still some of the best looking vehicles in their class, they also are adequately powered, very fun to drive, and great tuner cars. I hate that Infiniti has basically left the Q out to die but that's due to Nissan's previous CEO stealing millions and leaving the automaker flat broke there isn't much money being pumped into Infiniti at the moment and because of this Infiniti's future is somewhat uncertain. Genesis however, has taken the spot as my fav car brand deservedly... They came out the gate swinging, destroying all of its competition and in the same fashion Infiniti did when it debuted, putting every luxury-sport brand on notice by building unique & fresh technologically advanced fun driving cars. But Infiniti says they'll be replacing the Q's with electric successors though.... I guess only time will tell.

While this a good car it could been better. The horsepower is lacking, no manual transmission, 19 inch wheels, narrow tires and, it's too heavy. The list goes on and on. The G35 coupe was and still is a better looking car. It's what saved Infiniti years ago. Looks like they haven't learned that lesson.

One of the best looking cars on sale at any price point ever.... personally I think it will be one of the cars we look back on as having a timeless look. It being paired with a class leading engine, solid interior in terms of materials (not looks) and decent standard features makes the Q50/60 a strong contender in the segment and great value both used and as leases.
Honestly if Infiniti just put a bit more money into it out the door it would have led the class, the poor infotainment quality, lazy auto and no LSD in RWD models really held it back when she launched then they could have easily justified charging similar prices to the Germans... But they didn't and while they had insane lease deals no auto-mag and very few independent outlets will never tell you that you could snag a fully optioned Q50/60 for the same or less than a Honda Accord.

All this car needs is a new 9 or 10 speed transmission and an updated inside. Our car has 80k miles and it still runs like new! I do all the maintenance myself, e.g., oil changes, brakes. I love this car. Used to have a 08 G37 6mt when it first came out. But Infiniti messed with the renaming of it to Q50/Q60. The G name already established itself. Second, getting rid of the manual was a bummer. And the VR30 should have been used earlier rather than the VQ37. The VR30 would have kept up with the competition. And should have left it at 400hp. 300hp variant was ok if the previous model wasn't already 330+ hp in the VQ37 🤷

AMS has a new engine mounted twin intercoolers that look seriously legit. There are a million exhaust options too. Catted lower downpipes to start, a decent catback exhaust. Intakes are nice, but not necessary, the stock airbox are good. If you're out of warranty, you should be ECU tune ready with those bolt-on mods. Racebox, AMS and Sonictuned are the big tuners who can ECU tune your car. JB4 is a cheaper and easier tune but best results will be an ECU tune with a variety of maps. Wheels, coilovers and other visual mods are affordable and easy to come by. Have fun with your car!

Purchased my 2017 Iridium blue Q60 premium new. Love it still to this day! It is soo sexy that I get more hate/jealousy/envy towards this car on my daily commute. I'm constantly being boxed in on the freeway, tailgated at traffic lights and on the drive, cut off at the last moment in the fast lane, park far away from others only to have some crappy truck or SUV parked next to me. When I drove my son's Pontiac with my same driving style (I always drive 10mph over) everyone didn't bother with me.
This car with can be modified to produce large torque and HP if you want. A nice cat back exhaust system like Fast Intentions and upgraded heat exchanger is all I wanted since I view this car as a sexy GT cruiser and not a street racer. This is a very low production vehicle, so it's rare for me to come across another one and I like it that way. So I'll keep this one quite a while and plan on updating the dual screen display with a single Tesla style display with an AuCar Mark 6 that integrates like OEM.

But there is no doubt that the transmission is definitely the weak point of the powertrain. Nissan in general uses Jatco auto transmissions as I believe they own a portion of Jatco. Jatco transmissions are plagued with problems, especially their CVTs. The transmission in my Q isn't bad, just not up to par with the rest of the powertrain.
