    FONT: Constantine
    I came from the dreamtime
From the dusty red soil plains
    I am the ancient heart
    The keeper of the flames
I Stood upon the rocky shore
I watched the tall ships come
For forty thousand years I've been the first Australian
I came upon the prison ship
    Bound down by iron chains
    I cleared the land
    Endured the lash
    And waited for the rains
    I'm a settler
    I'm a farmers wife
On a dry and barren run
A convict and a free man
    I became Australian
    I'm a daughter of a digger
    Who sought the mother load
    The girl became a woman
On the long and dusty road
I'm a child of the depression
I saw the good time come
    I'm a bushy I'm a battler
    I am Australian
    We are one
    But we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
    We'll share a dream
    And sing with one voice
I am, you are, we are Australian
    I'm a teller of stories
    I'm a singer of songs
    I am Albert Namatjira
And I paint the ghostly gums
    I'm Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed matilda
    I am Australian
I'm the hot wind from the desert
I'm the black soil of the plains
I'm the mountains and the valleys
I'm the drought and flooding rains
    I am the rock
    I am the sky
    The rivers when they run
The spirit of this great land
    I am Australian
    We are one
    But we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
    We'll share a dream
    And sing with one voice
I am, you are, we are Australian
    We are one
    But we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
    We'll share a dream
    And sing with one voice
I am, you are, we are Australian

Yes, because unlike “Advance Australia Fair,” this song actually pays some tribute to Indigenous Australians. The current anthem ignores the indigenous population. That’s why I I like NZ’s anthem over our own-it pays tribute to the Maori by having the first stanza sung in Maori.

@Steve Owen: As a fellow American, I concur.
"We are one / And we are many / And from all the lands on Earth we come."
There is something universal and welcoming in that, which I believe is shared with our own USA; and possibly with many other countries.
@Yui White: Australia is on my bucket list; it's especially tempting now that it's winter up here and summer down there. But I agree that COVID is making us wait. Wouldn't want to bring that unwelcome visitor to you; and I think up here, we wouldn't want any of us bringing it back from there to here. The vaccines now debuting should put an end to such worries, we hope!

Logically speaking, even if its less "dignified" then Advanced Australian Fair, this makes much more sense to be our national anthem.
The Australian people are known to be represented by the concepts of mateship, unity, friendship and loyalty to one another. This song includes the traditional keepers of the land, which AAF does not include, it includes the first fleet and the ancestors that worked this land, it tells of the ANZAC's, those brave boys that gave us this identity, forged ourselves in the fires of war.
It tells of the natural beauty of this dusty land, where some see desert we see gold, cultural icons such as Ned Kelly, Waltzing Matilda and such are all described, its language is consistent, its music bright and endearing to the Australian people and culture of easy-going and friendly nature. AAF to me sounds more English (and not in a good way, no offence) and far more bland, its language is also a strange mix of modern and old english like "girt", it lacks a real spirit and heart that most Aussies grow up with singing songs like "Waltzing Matilda", "Give me a Home Among The Gumtrees" and great Australian music icons like Slim Dusty or say John Williamson.
Sure, it lacks a "formalness" and "regality" that AAF pretends to have, but in the end, a national anthem represents ones soul, the reason a country stands, a reason to and why it does what it does, who the people under that flag are.
This song shows the heart, the passion and mateship we are known by, and we shouldn't stand for anything less.

@@rogerbuzacott2648 Northwest Passage is definitely a strong candidate for Canada; I'm an avid Stan Rogers fan, and that's a truly great song, telling of the long-time search for that elusive sea route.
For Scotland, your mention of Caledonia brings to mind _Ferry Me Over_ by Andy M. Stewart, and its refrain:
      "Ferry me over,
      "Ferry me there,
"To leave the hills of Caledonia
"Is more than my heart can bear."
I'd place that in the running for Scotland.
For that matter, there's also _Fire in the Glen,_ by the same author. There's a really superb, mesmerizing version of it by a now-defunct female duo of Jennifer Culley and Brooke Parkhurst, that went by the name Clishmaclaver (a name which unfortunately for searching, has been used by others). They were local to the Washington, DC area around the 1990's, and they made some marvelous recordings; that song is on an album titled, "Roots Entwined," from a line in the Si Kahn song, _Luray Women,_ which they also do a top-flight job of, on that album. Unfortunately, due to its relative obscurity, it may not be possible to track down now.

@AKM Saifuzzoha Chowdhury I didn't mean your *national* anthem.
There are anthems that aren't officially "national" anthems; an anthem just sings the praises of some country. The other two anthems I mentioned in my main comment aren't national anthems, either.

Actually, the US has 'God Bless America' lyrics and music by Irving Berlin and introduced and sung by Kate Smith which should be the US national anthem.

we are not recognised on the battle field, an australian was put incharge of the entire allied forces in ww1 and won the war but no one outside australia knows his name, he made tank combat obsolite with the introduction of air combat into war tactics but no one outside of australia knows the field commanders name
but wen we arnt there you miss us, the australians hold a permanent statue in the towns and cities along the rine in france as we went in first and secured the line so america could punch their convys through in ww2, we did all the hard work yet we got none of the glory, vietnam same thing korea same thing afganistan iraq all the same story, we do all the dirty work and get no credit

I love this song, because not only does it remind people that Australians have been here for tens of thousands of years, but many of us were brought here without much say in the matter as well. Convicts, first nations people, and many settlers, were all treated like second class citizens, if they were treated like citizens at all, by the British Empire.

I shed many tears while this song was singing by a girl on the day when I received my citizenship. All those images of different lives running through my heads along with the song. And my whole journey from many hardships and life risking situations to the point of being in that room becoming a nationality of one of the best country in the whole world. It’s just so crazy. I am super grateful and I swore on the spot that I will live my life to the fullest, keep improving and keep on giving. After all, I am Australian!
