I am homeschooling and taking his geometry course for math. Unless you live in Finland, if you really value your education, homeschooling is the way to go. I live in the US and the education system sucks.

How long is this class, really? The videos are like 20mins but, I know the class must be longer than that. Honestly, it probably doesn't need to be because I learn so much in that little 20 mins.

Hi I have seen this problem solved with an additional step, stating that BC = BC (reflexive) before subtracting BC from both sides. Is this step necessary?
Sometimes it depends on how formal one wishes to complete the proof. Definitely makes it more granular, to add the reflexive step. And you appear smart, so that's a win too.

Thank you sir. You helped out a lot! Just one thing... at the end where AB=CD would the proof be Subtraction Property of Equality or can you leave it as Subtraction?
It HAS to be Subtraction of Equality, because that's where you're subtracting from BOTH sides, just subtraction doesn't specify that you're subtracting from both sides.

I thought AB + BC = BC + CD would mean you had to use the transitive property and get rid of the 'middle man' (BC)
And that's how you get AB = CD
But maybe both works, I'm not sure.
Transitive is kinda like substitution transitive is like this if a=c and a=d then c=d
But he put 'subtraction'
