I was freaking out over my geometry proofs test tomorrow, I watched both this and the angles video and now I’m feeling a lot better on it Update: I got a 90 on the test 😃
MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for another off the chart's video/lecture on Two Columns Proofs of Congruent Segments in Plane/Solid Geometry. These two Column Proofs continue to improve my understanding of Geometry on all levels. Geometry helps me to visualize buildings/equipment/shapes in everyday life.
Okay but like this is soo hard like i’m being serious I don’t get this at all and we have a test thursday :/ but thank you this actually helped me a little :)
I feel like you would use the segment addition postulate before the addition property because it's kind of the base for when you make them equal. Other than that, it makes sense to me. (Seriously though you make this so much easier to learn thank you so much)
After a while I came back to this channel thinking of his beautiful voice with anonymous face. I already see tons of people asking for the face reveal😂
So dang grateful bro I got a quiz Tomorrow abt this crap I was so lost during rh entire lesson because the teacher didn't explain it very well this is actually helping me 😭‼️‼️

what!!!!! still searching youtube for math help are the videos from 2006 realy helping are you tired of not getting you any way in math class ........... etc. wtf study pug!!!!!!!!
Idk if I’m doing it wrong but I paused to try the problem by myself and I did #3 as Common Segment Theorem and I think it works as you just need to define congruent segments in #4.

Hello! I know this is old. But I would like to say that the definition of midpoint in Geometry land states that the point given creates two equal parts. So, the way I would have done that step was AB=BC and DE=EC as the definition of midpoint. Then just substitution steps to finish off the problem. Also, I understand proofs can be done in different ways, but we get into trouble when we start interpreting definitions and not writing out the full reasons. As in your first proof, just saying addition is not quite good enough. Addition property of equality is the proper writing of that reasoning. Technically the definition of addition is another thing in the world, and those two things are different. So I truly appreciate the videos, they are amazing, just please, if you are going to show students ways to do things, do them without shortcuts so we as teachers have less to try to fix. ❤
I’m starting to understand it a bit, really help, I’m in geometry honors and my teacher is so confusing, got a test of this subject tomorrow so I need all the help I can get

But how to know on when and where you should put the Statements and Reasons? I keep getting a failing score mostly because of the incorrect placement that I don't know on how to perfect.
How come the first problem and second problem use different statements/reasons and the order is a little different if the format for the problem itself is the same. I tried to use the same format from the first problem for the second problem and found myself getting different answers from the video. If I use the same statements and reasons as the first problem for the second problem would this be considered correct?
Im confused how people find this helpful he’s not doing shape or angles he’s doing segments this is like the basics of proofs the actual proofs are in my opinion more harder but thanks anyways
