Geometry - Parallel Lines and Transversals

- Parallel Lines is a main topic in Geometry, and comes up many times on the SAT. Join us in this introductory lesson that discusses the five main angle relationships of parallel lines: corresponding, alternate interior, alternate exterior, same-side interior, and same-side exterior. Some books call them "consecutive," but I like "same-side" because it's more obvious what that means. Oh, and I'm dressed as a security guard, green flashlight and all :-). YAY MATH!

Man as a student I've always had a tough time understanding the youtube videos I find online. Ol' Son here knows how to grab a lesson by the horns and explains it not only in a fun way but also easy way. ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS IN THE WORLD!!! I've only watched one video, and I wish he was my Teacher. Thank You, Haus. You are making life much easier Ol' Son.
every teacher should be like you, ready to teach and be patient with their student.
Very Helpful! Honestly, I love the way you teach your class, its very fun yet educating! Thank you, once again!
I am a mom, and I had my kids watch your videos all summer long. Thank you much for your videos. I try to teach them myself, but they don't want to listen to me! Of course, right? You saved us. Keep making videos!
I've been watching your videos and you help me out very much in my classes! You are more understandable than my teachers in high school.
When my 15 year old son came to me for help with this subject and even though I had taught college level math for 10 years (quite a few years ago), but had forgotten some of the basic geometry rules. I look on you tube and came across your videos, and found them to be fun, but you also make the material very easy to understand. I wish there were more teachers out there like you, and our youth would not have such a fear of learning math, hence many more of them would actual start to like math as a subject and move on to technical studies, such as engineering. Thanks for the great videos. I have subscribed to your channel and my son will be watching you to learn as he moves forward.
God I love his videos, They make my math classes much easier!
I honestly don't understand my teacher. I always end up coming to your videos, they help a lot .

Thank for this help about parallel and transversal lines! I loved how you showed how to do it i felt like i was in the classroom.
You are so helping me understand the lessons in my geometry class. I wish you had a video on how to prove lines are parallel because when it comes to having two transversals going through two lines, I am totally confused.
you're my go do guy for quick review. Keep it up!
you help a lot in my class thanks so much!!!
You were super cool and keep you students engaged in math . You are very smart at expaning math that are simple . I would like you to have as a math teacher for sure . Thanks for the help

wish i had a teacher like u
Thank you :) i had to re learn this for a final. I appreciate it
Best teacher ever I think I'm gonna pass my test now hehehe thanks
Does that mean "When lines are parallel" Consecutive
yay how you explanning the math attracted and understood more about math thank you
And in school my teacher taught me that corresponding angles make a F,exterior C(with pointed corners)and interior with Z
I wish i had a teacher like you. This video was very helpful but i struggle with questions like this: If m
Matthew Enciso I think we are the only ones watching in 2018
I think m
very much interesting and excellent way of teaching.
this helped me out so much! thank u!!!
Thank you so much ur the best teacher
Same side can also be called consecutive.
sir , it's awesome you made it very easy to learn
thank u very much this will help me understand the positions of the angles
this math is very helpful
because its the way that is except flip it to the side it looks like one line being intersected by 2 lines.
this actually helped me in unit 9 which this is in at my school but yea this helps a lot
in 31:57 is the way the chart looks like for me its just that mine has the numbers put differently instead of putting 3 and 4 in bottom of 1 and 2 put them in the other side how do you solve one of those charts.
this is such good help... thank you!
But is same side also called consecutive? Like same side interior, would that be consecutive interior?
I have a math teacher that puts our notes on the board, gives us homework due the next day, and then goes and sits at his desk. I'm an A student and I'm struggling to keep a C in that class.
I have a math problem "12:00 pm in the day will be 12:00 pm at night at 180 degrees around the sun". But how can this be? Can anyone explain this?
how do you know what the number is? and i have a question if you have an assignment and it said classify each pair of angles as alternate exterior alternate interior or corresponding?
awesome video helped alot and was very funny
came for math, ended with amusement.
how did you get 100 and 80 degress
since its a striaght line it equals 180. since one of the angles he said was 100, ou could then conclude that the other angle is 80 degress since the 2 angles need to add up to 180
In my school we are learning about the value of x and after we found the value of x we should give the reason on why it is one particular number for example is x= 80 reason (corresponding angles) I don't get it
he is the perfect teacher!! :) :) :) :) :) :) LOL
love your video
If my teacher is this good teaching i wont be here. Tbh
what if the lines arent parallel? how will you figure it out?
Is "Same-Side" the actual term to be used?
Peter Tran or "consecutive"
+Peter Tran Co-interior too....
very pleasant style
You are awesome!
Omg I want to be in his class. He's so funny.
J.K YAYMATH ! HAHAHAHA, LOVE THIS TEACHER!
I need math teacher like this?
You answer my thousand doubts! :D
Hey thanks bud it really helped alot
Because they are supplementary. That means that it adds up to 180.
what is ur school called because i live near brooklen and that is near manhattan if someone does not know
in 30:31 the question you asked the girl did not take her to long but if that were me i would have been stuck on that qustion for 2 or more minutes trust me my teachers have seen it.
Just Awesome and really helpful:-):-)
Am i the only eight grader watching this awesome teacher?
no fam
where do you teach hopefully its in Miami florida
What do you call angle 3 and angle 8, are they corresponding angles thm?
+JASPER TADAS It's just called Alternate other than that it doesnt have a name
how do you know when its corresponding
I to be honest was lost I didn't understand the part about alternate exterior and interior angles. sorry
can you please do a live cam with me or something i need help i mean a lot of help im in 8th grade with pre algebra but i dont get it it is so confusing i also subscribed to your channel and to yaymath.
