Geometry - Parallel Lines and Transversals

  • Parallel Lines is a main topic in Geometry, and comes up many times on the SAT. Join us in this introductory lesson that discusses the five main angle relationships of parallel lines: corresponding, alternate interior, alternate exterior, same-side interior, and same-side exterior. Some books call them "consecutive," but I like "same-side" because it's more obvious what that means. Oh, and I'm dressed as a security guard, green flashlight and all :-). YAY MATH!

    Man as a student I've always had a tough time understanding the youtube videos I find online. Ol' Son here knows how to grab a lesson by the horns and explains it not only in a fun way but also easy way. ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS IN THE WORLD!!! I've only watched one video, and I wish he was my Teacher. Thank You, Haus. You are making life much easier Ol' Son.

    When my 15 year old son came to me for help with this subject and even though I had taught college level math for 10 years (quite a few years ago), but had forgotten some of the basic geometry rules. I look on you tube and came across your videos, and found them to be fun, but you also make the material very easy to understand. I wish there were more teachers out there like you, and our youth would not have such a fear of learning math, hence many more of them would actual start to like math as a subject and move on to technical studies, such as engineering. Thanks for the great videos. I have subscribed to your channel and my son will be watching you to learn as he moves forward.

    how did you get 100 and 80 degress

    • @xavi5276
      @xavi5276 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      since its a striaght line it equals 180. since one of the angles he said was 100, ou could then conclude that the other angle is 80 degress since the 2 angles need to add up to 180

  • @sincerelydeva4847

    In my school we are learning about the value of x and after we found the value of x we should give the reason on why it is one particular number for example is x= 80 reason (corresponding angles) I don't get it
