Great match and fun cast. I def enjoy your commentary and sense of humor and for sure you're getting way better at not missing the action. I suck at this game and didn't know the strategy at all and you've made it really approachable for people like me to be able to follow what's going on and what to look out for. Keep it up dude!
This is my new favourite game ever!! So happy to see Guardians and mass Wraiths! I just really hate the stupid boring meta where everyone just goes for one or a couple of different builds, I'm interested in seeing really fun and different games, where a variety of units are used. Any game that has devourers, guardians, queens, scouts, dark archons, ghosts or BCs is going to be a favourite straight away
I have to thank Falcon for getting me back into broodwar. I bought a gaming pc started watching day9 and artosis. Now here I am back at falcon. Thanks Falcon you're the man!

Oleg Kulikov wow didn’t know they activated on larva. That’s good knowledge, prevent a larva from becoming a unit and hopefully take out a drone or two
Well played, Artosis! You fought valiantly, but alas it was the opponent who was superior this game. His macro was flawless, his micro impeccable, his decision making quick and his willpower unassailable. I suggest you watch the replay and take notes of his playstyle; encountering a player of such calibre on the ladder is an exceedingly rare occurrence. You should consider yourself lucky.
Maybe a Devourer or 3 with that guardian muta army would have been nice, they are gas cheap and have a high health pool and are good against wraiths! I love the idea of Zerg Air Deathballs, maybe throw a queen with ensnare in there! Wish they were more viable
Day9 was always a step ahead. Artosis was playing catchup for most of the game. Can't help but think that a few siege tanks on his high ground would have done a lot to counter all those ling+hydra attacks, but I suppose he had his reasons.
Yeah, they all died and his machine shop get destroyed by lings. Also mutas probably would have just killed them. Day9 was on another level here. After the guardians killed the barracks the game was pretty much over, because without marines, Artosis had no way to stop Day9 from droning up like crazy, and if a zerg gets to do that....you lose, you just, lose. Sauron zerg is unbeatable.
Really interesting to watch some of these older games. Honestly, it felt a bit amateur compared to the modern stuff? Lots of periods of time where nothing appears to be happening, particularly at the end.
Missed out on Brood War when it was hot, now I watch Artosis and Falcon videos almost every day because of how fascinating it is. I like SC2's variety at this point in time, but it doesn't ever seem to have the amount of variety of plays in even the most standard of BW builds.
I would have built a hive at Artosis' natural base as soon as I captured the area. It getting the loot there isn't as important as denying Artosis and restricting movement. Sunkens and detectors would have greatly restricted Artosis early. Day[9] did show fantastic sequencing of troop builds.
Being a human, I normally cheer for the United Citizen Federation vs the bugs. This time tho I was definitely cheering for Day9 cause I have never seen him play before so it made him feel like the underdog.
@@FalconPaladin I play Magic the gathering and saw some of day9s video's. He is good, but I don't like the way he talks about his opponent, especially when he loses. Maybe I've just been unlucky with the casts, though. Still, a great BW player. Like Idra. Don't like his rage, love seeing his skill at BW.

I watch WAY more than I play but I am actually pretty decent when I do play. did zerg forget he had airdrop? whats the point of battling in the mineral line at 27:45 in the most ineffective way possible? he also seemed to refuse to make spores against the wraith cloud. day9's a pro?
having finished the game, that was a fairly shitty set of zerg decision making especially at the end. it was a fun cast though! keep up all the good work :)

After one particular all nighter before a school presentation the next day, where he drank some wine, he said that he felt so bad that he thought he almost died but then he had to record the day9 daily episode anyway because he couldn't let his fans down. He talks about this in one of the episodes. But he doesn't say which one is the one that was videoed after he thought he almost died and was a mess because he doesn't want anybody to see it obviously.

Drops could have been made with steamed marines to harass through the game. Yes, some lucky moments regarding spider mine ultra kills, killing overlords.. still, no certain strategy.. terran only build stuff to protect, and zerg hold the lead through the match.

i just realised... i think its well known that Artosis is a Terran main , right ?? then how did the Artosis pylon ever happened in the first place if the guy doesnt play protoss ? did he used to play Protoss, had the whole Artosis pylon happened then changed to terran as an ultimate race rage quit ?
