hahah....well you got me...I love coffee every day and I love wine...my 2 favorites...gotta go!!! I'll be 40 in October and have been trying for baby # 2 for 8-10 months with no luck yet.
I conceived my daughter naturally at 36 after 8 consecutive months of actively trying. Now, I'll be 40 in 4 and 1/2 months and I've been trying for 8-10 months, but still haven't fallen pregnant with baby # 2. I felt a lot of anxiety in the process of my first journey onto becoming pregnant. Now, I feel the anxiety even more. I do have hypothyroidism as well and am on levothyroxine. While in quarantine, I did unfortunately gain about 35 pounds as well. What are your recommendations?
Hi Sonya! I can imagine the frustration and stress you're experiencing through this process. Unfortunately, I cannot give personal advice on social media. If you'd like to book an appointment, please do so via this link - www.melaniemcgrice.com.au/booknow/

Svezia, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Yes, you can add CoQ10 and it probably will be helpful at 43 as chromosomal damage is a common cause of miscarriage.
My sister had 3 miscarriages she’s 45 now. She’s been trying since she was 35. She’s in perfect health always exercising and eating healthy. Is she has a chance?

Yes, it’s very likely that the miscarriage occurred to an abnormality, especially if you’re over 40. Follow my tips on eating for fertility and try again as soon as possible
It is understood that with age comes a greater chance of giving birth to a child with Down syndrome, which is an important factor in the decision making process. I wish you all best :)

There is a chance! However, this may be a question for a fertility specialist :) They can determine your chances of falling pregnant and provide additional advice if necessary.
@@NourishwithMelanie thanks for your response Melanie. My fertility specialist said I have plenty of eggs but recent ultrasound found a small fibroid & polyp. Online info seems to tell me otherwise, that lower amh means lower chance of conciving. It’s all so confusing
@@NourishwithMelanie I’ve been given your contact# by a lady I spoke to in pharmacy here in Melb. My ultrasound showed 12 follicles which I thought was a good sign but it’s been 2 years of trying. Anyway, might organise an appointment with you when lockdown is over.

I'm a sucker for roasted brussel sprouts.
So good!
I wish I could like anchovies and sardines. They're so healthy but I don't like them. Any suggestions for making anchovies taste good?
They're definitely an acquired taste! Try adding them to a pasta sauce or adding some citrus can cut through the fishy taste!

What is low ovarian syndrome?
Ovarian reserve refers to the quality and quantity of your eggs, and diminished ovarian reserve means those factors are decreasing.

At 40 alone it is 1/100. At 45, it is 1/50. Doing the math will tell you: 1.4 chance out of 100 just based on your age
