I had to add to my comment 2 weeks ago. I ended up buying the S45VN Koi, just waiting on it now. I currently own 2 Chad Nichols SHF (Join or Die, Plague Doctor). Like you, I keep finding one of them in my pocket daily! They surprised me by how well they cut for big overbuilt folders, out cutting my Striders, Hinderers, and CRKs in many ways. I get a 4" blade in a frame not much bigger if not the same size or smaller and they look absolutely gorgeous! Can't believe Spartan are the only ones out there putting this level of art on their frames! Anytime I take mine out, I get comments and jaws dropping, doesn't hurt that the CN blades look stunning also. Now I'm getting the Koi to be my user, my guess is it won't be my last. SHFs have become my "go to knife", can't find anything else out there that gives me so much for the price. Way, Way worth every penny.
I've got a Plague Doc and Just grabbed the GGTO Purple Grim Reaper...Love Spartan!! And like you said their customer service is as good as it gets!! The earlier models use to have 3 body screws they changed to two when they changed the lockside pivot 👊🏼
Hard for me to find faults with my SHF's! Great users and cutters, melts in the hand like a stick of butter. I gotta get me an S45VN version, love your Koi version and have been looking at it closely.
does it bother you that your pocket clip screws are a different color than the body screws? I want to get a bronze ano Harsey but from all the pictures I see online from all the different variations, they all look to be different in color. Even in color from body, pivot and thumb screw seem to be different in a few
Here we are nine months later, do you still have it? Do you still like it or did you like it before you sold it? Tell us more would love to see a follow up.

I ended up selling it because I want to buy another knife, but I would’ve kept it if I didn’t need to sell something
I like the 3.5 too. The smaller one, I think that's what it's called.
Does it feel cramped in hand?
@@these7seas not at all
I really want the full size though...is it slicey or too thick like so many other knives?
The smaller version isn’t a 3.5 inch blade it’s a 3.25. It’s quiet a bit smaller than the full size version.
is the vecp still your fav?
It is but I sold it….
Love the look of the large, but the weight really needs to be reduced. Too much weight in the pocket.
