Thank goodness the fawn survived from being eaten. Both of the mother and fawn are very smart they know what to do and not what to do to escape death. I was praying for the fawn not to get killed. I’m very impressed that how does the fawn know since it can’t run fast to get away from the coyote it chooses to lay down and hide instead and even when the mother runs to trick the coyote how does the fawn knows not run out to its mom? I thought by natural instinct when the mother runs their fawns would automatically followed them but wow this fawn is so smart it knows when to follow or not! Thank you to who films this great scene and thanks for sharing………..
I got the feeling that this scene is constructed. Meaning that the scenes with the deer and the coyote were cut together to add a little drama to the documentary. Poor.
4:26 That's Northern Pastures, from the legendary music group, TSFH. If I'm not mistaken, this clip is from a show called North America. They actually managed to get a TSFH song into a show. I'm quite impressed. Well done, Discovery. Well done!
See a lot of these two hit by vehicles. Thought initially that the coyotes were stupid like deer and that was the reason. See very few fox and Bobcat and Lynx by comparison. I believe now it's just a population issue. Although a deer will, by chance continue safely off the road and suddenly do a 180° turn and run right back into the road. So unpredictable.
SideShow Bob The behavior of deer allowed them to survive well during all the years prior to paved roads and fast vehicles. They require more time to adapt to modern society. Their old territories are becoming smaller as times moves on.
Lemme tell you a story of one of my yt videos, A deer and my dog was in the yard, Da Deer was eating grass, dog was stairing. Deer looked at my dog. He backed up [OR DIDNT]. Then the deer came closer and dog backed up. Dog layed. Deer puts head down. Dog stands up. Dog jumps on door. I laughed. My little sister was talking. And deer was like "I don't care". And dog came inside. Check out video Title: dog trys to attack deer

I really don't think that coyote cared about the deer's presence.

Agreed! An old coyote means that it has a lot of experience seeing through the games of mother deer. If this was real, that fawn would've been dinner!
Almost all docs are like that
Agreed. How were they able to film, essentially right on top of the fawn, yet not disturb it, or spook any of the other animals.
The mom is actually taking a huge bet, if the coyote was smart enough to attack the fawn, the mom wouldn't have time to protect it

ரெம்ப அதிஸ்ட்ட சாலி♥
Baby fawn almost became worthy prey to 🐺 and doe worst enemy
Instinct. The mother pretending to limp and the fawn hiding without ever seeing a coyote in it's short life.
Natural selection at its finest.
The most amazing scene I've ever seen....🤗🤗🤗🤗😍

I literally Thought my phone died

voice of TOM SELLECK blue bloods Magnum pi ??????
Lol I was just gonna post about that.... Tom Selleck is awesome as narrator!! Him and Morgan Freeman are my top 2 favorite
The coyote isn't going to do much with the camera man standing over the fawn and filming. Great editing though to tell a story that happens in nature.
poor Coyote, he will now starve
Poor coyote he'll have to eat you!
It’s so cute y would save it from the wolf
Not a wolf it’s a coyote much smaller
Magnum PI narrating
