I like the appearance of this points motor - pretty much like the older versions used on BR, just wished he’d made pilots holes for those screws…

I got fed up with trying to screw my points motors to the board and keeping them aligned. I tried double sided sellotape and it's worked well and lasted well too. Any minor adjustments can be made easily and no fussing with those pesky little screws.

Well good for you. Some of us do this hobby for pleasure.

Please can this unit be used with the PL11 point motor?

My PECO switches do not have the nub to connect to the point motor flange with the hole. The switch just has a small hole on each side.

Solenoid type point mechanisms are only suitable for the amateur ! Professionals always end up turning to proper "motor" driven point mechanisms such as the quality Swiss made Fulgurex type, as they come with Two spare switches (one for live frog points and the other to interlock signalling. The mechanism screws to the underside of the baseboard, and comes provided with a pre-shaped brass crank to connect with the point tiebar. I have been using Fulgurex mechanisms for over 40 years on all my exhibition layouts without trouble !!!
