The "bit" that is in the end of the drill is conveniently called a drill bit. Great video.

I Have installed hornby surface mounted point motors on my layout and connected them to the hornby decoder following the wiring instructions in my Select handbook, red to positive, green to negative and black to C. I cannot get the select controller to programme the decoder or operate the points. I notice you wire your decoder up differently, should try it your way

I think and (hope) that this works for my ancient Hornby point motor ☺

You plug your Hornby Points decoder into the track and then enter the number 61 on the display, program 61, and all the other ports are programmed automatically, for more details consult the manual.

Hi. I have the new points decoder. I have connected it to the track as per instructions. I have programmed my select controller as per instructions . The red light flashes 8 times is this correct? When I try to change the points by pressing the forward and reverse arrows, it shows p5 and p6 as per instructions but fails to move the point motor even when its not connected to the point. Can you advise on where I am going wrong please.

I have never used Hornby analogue point motors, but i believe you need a Hornby point lever.

    Hi,
but to work on the exchange, do you have to connect it to the control unit?
can you manually link to a button?
    thank you!

You spelled Hornby wrong. You can change that by editing your video.
