Just to celebrate the one year anniversary of the release of God of War Ragnarok - here is the SUPERCUT of all Mimir stories in both Ragnarok and God of War 4. Hope it will help you drift off into slumber.
Yippee!!!
I'm sure it will I enjoy that effect🥂🥱
Can you also add the dialogue from Valhalla next plz
I love how Kratos goes from calling Mimir “head” to literally breaking Valhalla just for him
He didn't go just for mimir tho
@@Mjl4life_2 Ignorant reply
I mean that's not the original reason why Kratos goes there, but he does continue going there for him.
@@Zeik188they’re talking about a specific thing that happens in Valhalla. When he literally breaks it in order to save him
@@Mjl4life_2read my other reply. He’s talking about a specific thing that happens in Valhalla
"Baulder is blessed with invulnerability to all threats, physical or magical." - Mimir Smartest Man Alive
“BIIIIGGG foot print.”
- Smartest. Man. Alive.
ahh the classic
@@darrenxie3325 "Have you ever tried making conversation with yourself!?"
@FrankandRaul who hasn't 😂
Baldur is blessed with invulnerability to all threats; physical or magical. 😐
Finally....we hear brother's stories in full.
U jus dont kno
Love how Kratos is always listening even though it seems like he’s not
Whatever will help him with his battle tactics.
We may have reduced amount of puzzles here in the last two games.
But keen eye and his intellect in those areas' proven to be one of his strongest assets. Man's smart.
A lot of times, it's good to just sit and listen.
Let people talk and they may or may not expose themselves.
I can already tell I’m about to get the BEST SLEEP OF MY LIFE THANKS TO MIMIR
6:22 wow you can hear the exact moment kratos figures it out, it lets out a small chuckle before asking again.
Take a shot for every “Baldur is blessed with invulnerability to all threats Physical or Magical”
Someone's gonna die
I don’t want alcohol poisoning
The only man who could drink that much is mimir himself (or the demoman)
"Hope he's not broken"
I really don't feel like dying
10:05 man I lost it here. Kratos' sheer disbelief and that delivery is the equivalent to our "That's some bullshit".
funny, considering he went back in time already
@@raptorteam486he used some sort of mirror or something I can't remember
He didn't just get punched so fucking hard time became a matter of opinion
Odin: "Baulder had value"
Mimir: "AYE! BAULDER IS BLESSED WITH INVULNERABILITY TO ALL THREATS, PHYSICAL OR MAGICAL!"
Kratos and Atreus: *We know*
I don’t know why, but I never see people talking about how Mimir is puck from Shakespeare’s a Midsummers night dream and in God war, Ragnarok, he’s outright called puck
Probably because Puck is another way of saying Saytr or Fawn, also less people read Shakespeare out of highschool, and Midsummers dream is not the main pick.
@@q-tip9962arent satyrs also in greek myth? might just be percy jackson cause i feel like kratos wouldve mentioned that about mimir
@hendryx404 Satyr's are in Greek Myth yeh; Celtic myths also have Satyrs, they are considered Fae Creatures. S'why we got Mister Tumnus in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
We need an Amazon Echo type device of Mimir’s head and have it talk with his voice.
Me: “Mimir! Turn on the GOW Ragnarok soundtrack
Mimir: “Certainly brother!”
_Baldur is blessed with invulnerability to all threats, physical or magical._
1:33:23 I get the sense that if they make any games based in the Celtic pantheon that Nymph is going to be playing a role.
She’s the famous Lady of the lake who Forged Excalibur
@@joeylumbley Oh she will DEFINITELY be playing a role.
Hopefully it will mean we will get to wield Excalibur.
1:57:25 there are so many great moments. But that one is a favourite.
Is it me or did mimir go from self hatred to regret to explanation to accepting himself to optimism in his stories?
I recently replayed god of war and ragnarok and I feel the main themes I see is, in the first one accepting your past and all the mistakes you made and trying to be better, and in ragnarock is after being better, fixing the problems you caused, and while nothing will ever go back to the way it was, you can make things better, no matter how small the change. I really noticed this when you do mimir's favours in svaftalfheim
So often hours long videos bore me out of my mind, but I can listen/watch these videos all day
Mimir's actor's voice is so smooth and easy to listen to and the lore of the gods is so interesting, violent and dark but fascinating
19:14 Just for context. Dwarves' last names are based on what they are good at doing. Since all dwarves are excellent smithies, "Smith" "Blacksmith" and "Goldsmith" would be redundant last names. Given that background, "Huldra/Hulder" would make more sense if the brothers excelled at fucking forest nymphs... would explain Sindri's hypochondria and aversion to infectious diseases.
1:56:45 "So, naw. Fate can eat my sweet cheeks."🤣🤣🤣
Lunda is there to remind everyone life sucks without some humor in it. She's got a point through. Fate is just a fancy way of saying that you give up on controlling your own destiny.😁
One of my favourite details is how Kratos goes from just tolerating these stories to actively wanting to hear more and even throwing in some of his own from time to time.
21:20 the sound of the brothers forge. Epic after finishing ragnorock
😂😂 oh I can't wait to come back here. Bro Odin is Mimir.
Oml I just realised at 52:00 mimir is talking about Macbeth. I thought jt was familiar but it wasn’t until recently when I reread the story did it click!
Yeah I caught on the first time I heard it and cause I did Macbeth in highschool
I don’t know who it was at Sony Santa Monica who suggested the game needs a talking head as a travel companion but they need the biggest commendation possible.
He not only adds lore and educates you while you play but he’s also pivotal in many big story moments
It's honestly to funny because in the actual mythology there's so little actual reference to mimir. Literally all it actually ammounts too is "mimir was a wise man who odin sought the council of. He later then cut off his head and would refer to it for wisdom still
30:23 The first story Kratos was interested in 😅
“The Hands of Death could not defeat me, the Sisters of Fate could not hold me, and you... will not see the end of this day! I WILL have my revenge”
I love the moment Mimir speaks of Sigrun and Freya is like "mhm
Love every word this man speaks. Such amazing writing
Hell yeah! Best thing to listen to when working on art!
Thanks for this playlist. It’s actually perfect for sleeping 💤 ❤
You're welcome 😊
BROOO!!!!! Mimir in 53:00 minute talks about "Makbet" I think, it's a book I read on my polish lessons and the story is exactly the same.
30:38 love when Kratos sounds enthusiastic
"Baldur is blessed with the properties of both rubber and gum."
Did you mean glue? 😅
Fell asleep with headphones to this. Was the best nap of my life
Mimir is the original Chat GPT. If I could change the Google assistant voice to Mimir, I would in a heartbeat!
I just took the most divine nap to this
Can't be the only one who hears the opening of the mystery box sound when kratos opens the tablets that Atreus translates.
i love fantasizing myself drinking coffee while listening to mimir's stories, its like drinking with an ol' friend
Really good editing here, thank you.
i like that he turns the pages with a spoon lol and when he sees kratos he spits it out
This must have taken so long. Great job.
Thank you to the person who went through the making of this.
This is what I fall asleep to every night
The more I listen to this, the more I realise my old man trained me the way Kratos did to Atreus, not the killing ways but the discipline or strictly parenting like him. Me and my father don't see eyes to eyes but these days, his way helps a lot. I love you dad.
It all makes sense. The world serpent was created by Atreus. He grew massively, fought in Ragnarok, and got hit with Thor’s hammer and sent back in time. Mimir told this story in the 2018 version, then it happened in the god of war Ragnarok.
I love how mimir knows nimue aka the lady of the lake from his homeland 👌👌👌 i wonder do he know merlin & arthur also
Thank you for this.
If seriously get so high, listening to this is amazing
What about the tales of Tyr, the mad dwarf king and the rest of Valkyries?
14:56
Didn’t realize this was foreshadowing for Atreus at the end of Ragnarok.
1:13:30 Btw this story is about Zeus making pandora's box to house all the evils and made hephasteus encased it in the flames of oylumpus.
Love this so much
Freya:you know, I could’ve beaten you.
Kratos:hmm perhaps…
All G.O.W. Veteran fans:BI!#* PLEASE! HE WOULD smoked and clapped you with “no pause”
Ehhhhhh. Freya is the Norse godess of wisdom, and he never did win against Athena either.
The intro was awesome. Well done
It’s interesting when Kratos tells his stories but he changes it slightly, like the king asked a blacksmith to put evils in a box using a flame, which is obviously Zeus asking Hephaestus to trap the evils in Pandora’s box using the Flame of Olympus
Oh I love this !!!
Best sleeping time story teller ever
Perfect for bed time 😴
50:14 Kratos "Been there, done that"
This game is well put together...! I gotta give'em credit where it's due😎
"The hell's an olive?"
Mimir- Smartest man alive😂
I love Mimir. Favorite character in the game besides Brok and Heimdall
am i sitting in my bed and listening to mimir for two hours straight? Yes.
Well if I didn’t know any better I’d say Baldur was blessed with invulnerability to all threats, physical or magical.
And if I didn't know any better, I'd almost say that Baldur was Freya's son all along.
Mimir & brok carry the world building & vibes so hard.
& Kratos saying, "I too like the axe"
"I like this riddle" 😂
@@TifffanyTaylor It wasn't shown in this video, but there's a bit of dialogue when you change Vanaheim to day and night twice back-to-back by summoning the wolves of the sun and moon. Freya asks "what are you doing," and Kratos answers "I... wanted to see the wolves again." 😅
@echo.romeo. that's funny, I never would've noticed that.
@@TifffanyTaylor Have you played any of the games, Tiffany?
Also, I edit for another channel. Would you like me to make shorts for some of those highlights you've posted? They're pretty dope, to be honest. 😅
Mimir of the Bifrost Teets is really funny ngl xD
1:33:16 So Mimir is from Avalon maybe we will visit one day
52:02 So this means... Mimir was around during the story of Macbeth from Shakespeare
LETSGOO INEEDED THIS
story time with mimir is my favorite time
Okay Okay it’s been a minute
15:07 Did Mimir show Odin the tear that lost him his eye when he peered in?
35:51 funny that Mimir says this without knowing what Kratos did
I could listen mimic speak for hours … and I did .
Kratos looks weird with this armor 22:22, but when you play him without armor it looks like someone made a mod version of the game and they made the original ghost of sparta covered with the dead of his loved ones. :D But i think he looks most badass and coolest with that simple armor and then they made it so you can see basically all your weapons, almost no game does this, if there is more that like 2 weapons (The Witcher for example.)
Everytime they open a shrine, i swear i get flashbacks to being overrun with the undead. Dont know why.
Idk why but I like to listen to these while working on projects. It's more engaging than music, but I don't have to watch it
Who else is hoping for more stories from Mimir in the next game?? 😄
I want someone to come back to this comment when the next game comes out
@@holdmybeefstew7131maybe we will get a hint at the game awards?
His back in the DLC 👍🏽
@@yusufmac5397 He will get to see Greek monsters as well
HE WAS TALKING ABOUT MACBETH HOLY CRAP HIGHSCHOOL LITERATURE IS COMING IT CLUTCH 52:07
I only noticed now that Kvasir’s poems have Astro on them
Seems like Scaarvi was Lokis Aunt since her father could take the shape of any anima like Loki can 🤔
I don't recall anyone mentioning that Loki can turn into the shape of any animal, and I also don't remember there being anything that states shapeshifting is limited to Scaarvi and Atreus.
Listen to Atreus asking his 2 dads for romantic advice has to be the cutest thing in God of War.
54:15 when Kratos picks up the book, you can see the USA county on the cover
The cover and the poem itself are a reference to Death Stranding.
HOLD ON Did Mimir just confirm that MACBETH is a canon event in the GOW Universe? 52:00
Idk if it's just nostalgia, but Mimir's stories seem way more grand and engrossing in the first God of War than Ragnarok. The way he describes the Aesir and the other characters just seem way more prodigious and intriguing!
Mimir “the hell is an. Olive” 😂
When I remember Steve is in Smash Bros 6:11
Who else falls asleep to this
Mimir in GOW Ragnarok: Aye, Baldur is Vulnerable to all threats, Physical Or Magical. Because he's dead, Brother.
never noticed mimir was there for macbeth lol
It's a shame there wasn't the story of Freya and her necklace and others about The goddess Idunn and her kidnapping and her apples which really happened but in the game it was different As a false story And also others from Thor That were not placed and And cited By Mimir
not even on a mural of the tales of the giants like:
the day that Thor dressed up as a bride and the others giants he faced and that he killed as:
Hymir,Skrymir,UtgardLoki and Finally Geirrod And your daughters I hope that in a DLC or next game these stories will be included 🤔😃😁👍 like and Bye!
I heard they are making a miles morales like game following atreus so there is hope

IKR that’s exactly what I came to the comments to find out haha😂😂👍
