    Reiminds me of one Christmas Eve, 33 years ago. While praying that God, in my absence, would watch over my babies, I began to weep. There was myself, sitting in the next to the last row ,and three women in the front. When from behind, I felt a hand on my right shoulder, and a voice saying, "This is why you're here." With my left hand, I reached to touch his hand, saying, "Thank you." I took a minute to regain composure, turned to wish him Merry Christmas, but as quietly as he had entered, he was gone. By the amazing grace of God, upon my surrender, 29 years after that time, it occurred to me that He had answered my prayers, my children being blessed even before they were concieved. Myself, being born again! Praise the Lord for His amazing grace, whose mercy endures forever! God be with you, sister Lapwood, now and forever. Amen

    Simply Wonderful!
    I never heard the verse the gentleman was singing before, but upon doing research it's BEAUTIFUL.
    "Must Jesus bear the cross alone,
    And all the world go free?
    No, there's a cross for everyone;
    And there's a cross for me."
    Having grown up in a Baptist church and still an active member (and born-again believer) I only heard the most common four verses.
    Reading the full text with the additional verses, it's a true hymn about repentance and Christ's life-changing mercy and grace!
    And as an amateur organist amd baritone vocalist myself, I gotta commend you for opening the Swell shades in acknowledgement! I would've nigh broke down and cried with joy.
    Truly tugs on my heartstrings!
    God Bless,
    You have one more subscriber added to your compendium.

    Music is the true uniting force. Like… I may not know your language, but we can sing together!
    I have a song in my playlist that is a German song. I don’t know German (yet), but I had it playing at work, and was singing along… in Irish!! A customer looked at me and said, “That’s not the same language!” No, but it is the same song. I don’t know it in English, but I know the Irish!

    December 1914 a German soldier began singing silent night on Xmas eve. A piper from a Scottish regiment joined him. The Xmas truce had broken out.

    See I'm not the only person who sings in random church's I visit during my travels. Can't say I've been lucky enough to have a organ playing in the background during any of those visits. 😄

    Not only did you keep the organ as a soft background accompaniment. But I noticed how often you adjusted your timing to match him. He was definitely focusing on the emotions and acoustics. 😁🎶👏

    My grandfather, who was a minister, had a rule, that, whenever the family visited a church, they had to sing a hymn because the church was foremost a place of worship not a tourist site.
