She's described as the »Taylor Swift of classical music«: Anna Lapwood. On TikTok alone, she has more than 500,000 followers and her clips are clicked millions of times. The young Brit is one of the world’s most famous faces behind the organ. She has performed on all the great organs of the world, and as Associate Artist in London’s Royal Albert Hall, she regularly plays the legendary organ known as »The Voice of Jupiter«.
So it was about time she made a visit to the Elbphilharmonie organ. In the first part of her »Elbphilharmonie Session«, she plays her own arrangement of Ludovico Einaudi's minimal hit »Experience« from one of the Italian composer's famous film music soundtracks.

Wow, wie gern ich das live hören würde. So ein großartiger Sound. Mit Anna Lapwood sitzt da auch genau die richtige Person am Instrument.
Anna Lapwood definiert die Orgel neu. Und hier fügt sich alles zu einem harmonischen Ganzen zusammen: der Komponist, das Stück, die Organistin, ihr Spiel, das Instrument, der Saal, die Beleuchtung, das Gebäude. Grandios!

This is one of THE most beautiful things I've ever heard. Very close to the most beautiful thing I've ever listened to: the first breath and scream of my newborn daughter a couple of years ago.

This organ track is stunning,absolutely awesome,bet it would sound awesome on any cathedral,church or theatre organ and on the mighty blackpool tower organ. Cant get enough of this beautiful piece of music,can hear strains of the opening of "McArthurs Park" in this also. Such a beautiful instrument this lady is playing.Love it,cant stop playing it!

Orgel hören ein besonders Erlebnis. Schon als Kind war ich begeistert als ich unserem Kantor beim Proben zuhören durfte, die steilen Holztreppen bis an den Spieltisch erklommen hatte, um ihn dann beim Spiel zuzusehen. Anna weckt in mir die Erinnerung an frühere Zeiten.
Never thought to try Einaudi on an organ. You’ve presented me with a challenge for 2024 to get a (simpler) Einaudi piece up to standard to plays as a postlude at church! 👍😀🤓
Only way to properly listen to this is as loud as possible with no other distractions.
Großartiger Klang und eine tolle Dynamik, die mir in anderen Orgelstücken ab und an fehlt.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of any of Einaudi's musica, but in this instance, at the hands of Anna Lapwood, there's superb beauty to his composition! More please like this!
