My first thought was "this is a joke right?" lol. Second thought "fired for taking pictures in the building"...(thumbnail for video). I could tell my union rep until my face is blue and I pass out that sups work through out the day. He says nothing...I tell our BA when I see him how much sups work on preload and he says give me the dates, times & who. I'm at the end of the belt, I can't see it all... Hell, they have a part time sup that goes in on Monday around 3-4am to add-cuts before the drivers get there. Our preload works Tues-Sat. Preloaders and drivers have brought this up at union meetings and they say well, if you catch them working, write down the time, who & what they were doing. Who is going to go in at 3-4am probably to a locked building & catch him working? P.S. I fought this battle for years alone. Nobody wanted to help...A couple weeks after I gave up, the sups were working again, someone came up and said "Aren't you going to say anything?" My response was "nope, I'm done. They can do whatever." That person got mad and walked away talking shyt...Everyone is too scared...Our last union rep that actually had some balls got fired for some BS...
@@Kenwood.. lol ya every once in a blue moon he comes down from the big city to see us peons. Maybe once every two or three months. Union meetings are maybe two a year...
Become a steward, then you can go around and check for supervisors working on your off hours. If they won’t let you because you are working I believe there is language about needing to keep enough staff for stewards to do union stuff like contract enforcement. It sucks having no back up though, im in the same boat to a degree. Theres alot of support among the employees, but the union itself does not want to rock the boat.
New steward here. My supervisor harasses me , records me unloading van and wont allow me to be present. Also has different rules for me as opppose to non union workers
You have a lot of options but the easiest would be to harass them right back as a steward you are able to give management a really hard time just find a worker who is interested
I see sups working to help out often.

Have you contacted TDU? I’m one of the steward on the webinar
Encouraging information!
Remember you don't get 100% pay, it's usually 85% , for example you get 20 hrs, you won't get paid for the whole 20hrs, maybe 15 or less.
