It also made a very obvious halo around her hairline and jaw below her ears, kind of like that old high school trend where you try and look tan by using the comically wrong shade. No matter how lovely the rest of the look is, that's going to draw the eye and break the illusion
He's even apologized for being critical of five minute crafts. 😄 "I don't mean to be rude but you're (five minute crafts) the worst." I wouldn't even be mad if someone said that to me. 😂
I love how Robert makes his point at the beginning firmly, fairly and seriously, and you get the message and he says 'okay, that's over' so that you can learn and move on without any bad feelings. You can tell he's had to train people before IRL and deliver hard truths without being nasty or personal. A very mature man and good leader.
He's just such a good person. That's what makes me love his videos. The makeup is fun but I love the exposure to someone so unique, wholesome, and strong.

That was my favorite part, too. It was very final, but you could also tell how glad he was to move on from it. He's not just saying it because he's worried about his image. He really finds that kind of behavior distasteful.

Yep, same! Well, I didn’t do my makeup, my cousin did. As in her makeup on me! She’s very fair, I tan just by looking out the window on a sunny day! We have exact opposite eye colours & undertones etc yet we both wore her super fair but orange foundation, a shit ton of powder, too much eyeliner...ugh! She insisted on doing this to me whenever we left the house! The first time my mum saw it she laughed her ass off! It’s funny now, but I almost cried at the time!😂

If you actually watch his videos and see he never says anything about the person he always says how the makeup look good! He only tries to say how for face shape or how exactly the product is supposed to be used due to some Instagram/youtubers don’t show you the real when it comes to makeup and I honestly agree with him I still watch youtubers and Instagram Tutorials but I also watch Robert because he actually helps you turn what you see them do into an everyday makeup wear because what you see on camera and what you see in person can look totally different and what you see on TH-cam or on Instagram is awesome and looks flawless but more than likely if you see them in person it looks cakey and dry, he never once talks about the person and most of the time he doesn’t even know who the person he is reviewing is it’s usually people that are recommended and which is why I would watch him over these other people because they do their reviews off of the person verses off of the makeup only
Buni It's why I subbed to both Wayne Goss and Robert Welsh. They are honest and use positive criticism rather that rude or saying "Uhm no that is NOT how that is done." He explains his own theory and respects others even if they differ. Both Wayne and Robert do this and it is what makes the real MUA.

@Pickle Sandwiches that is incorrect. It depends on the coverage level,how it's applied and what it's applied with. I have freckles and depending on the foundation and techniques I use, they are usually lightly covered,but can still be seen.
Dollee Mixtures I know. Her freckles are some of the most beautiful ones I’ve ever seen. If I had her freckles I’d wear a tinted moisturizer or something.
She has looks without covering her freckles but we have to remember that if she is in the mood to cover them there is no reason for her to stop doing it. On Huda Beauty comments whenever they repost her videos is always the same comments telling her to not cover them when she should do whatever she feels comfortable doing.
The disclaimer/reminder that you put in the beginning of the video is one of the reasons why I subscribed to your channel. It's purely about makeup. The only tea is that you have a huge dislike towards baking.

I spent a lot of my younger teen years with those influencers and I wished someone like Robert was around; I went through so much money, product, and embarrassing makeup looks because they sold me an image and bashed anything else
I love him because he’s educational, kind, and so talented. And his language is colorful at times but not vulgar. An 11 yr old I used to nanny would watch some of these other ‘beauty gurus’ and some of the things they’d say and the words they used were so inappropriate. Robert is fun, educational, and classy.

A lot of big names in the beauty community wouldn't bat an eye at a comment mentioning them like that because they're either too scared to stand up for the victims (understandable, but someone is getting hurt in the process which isn't any better) or they have a similar mindset as the person who made the comment (which in that case, we can never really tell unless the artist radiates that energy/speaks ill of others regularly). It was disrespectful for the person to use your name as an excuse to bash on another person over their own personal opinions. I'm a natural redhead too and I love leaving my freckles showing. I feel like it's one of the main reasons people always tell me that I look younger than I actually am hahaha.

I just burn in the sun so there's no point in even trying to tan. I really think that makes a huge difference.

I see comments like that EVERYWHERE. I see it with Hyram’s name as well. It’s so obnoxious and rude and I’m so glad you said something. Edit: I didn’t even know about blue mixing elements! I’m super fair and have cool undertones and have a really hard time finding a matching undertone in foundation and especially concealer. Why are so many concealers yellow 😭😭😭 However, Colourpop pulled through for me on the concealer front and it’s affordable and not too thick if anyone else has the same problem as me!
I think the yellow-based concealers and foundations are the Kardashian effect. That is what they wear; however, not everyone has that kind of undertone. I have a cool undertone as well and would need the blue mixing element (which I did not know existed until this video!) to counteract the yellow undertoned foundation & concealer. SO glad my local Ulta did a match for me with foundation before SIP started.

There's so much entertainment on the Internet, narrowing what I consume down to people who aren't nasty and problematic narrows choices down for me. There's enough negativity in the world we can't avoid, I don't know why people choose meanness for entertainment too. Luxeria is like that too - not personally attacking, correcting misinformation in a polite way and always trying to see the positive and be encouraging.

I appreciate when people actually tell people what boundaries they have for comments! Aside from that, debates have rules against ad-hominem comments. For those who don't know what that is, it's when you attack the character of the source material instead of debating the citation itself. "Ugly" isn't an argument. The reputation of the source doesn't make it less true. The canvas the makeup is on doesn't make it less correct, either.
I just want to point out that the girl that uses the farsali oil, on her instagram the company commented “ this is perfectly beautiful.” I just feel like the company just cares about the views those videos get because it’s putting their products out there. All publicly is good i guess.
That girl (who now has her own makeup company) is the queen of wasting product, but in some countries (even mine, Italy) is now kinda normal put so much product (I mean both skincare and makeup) on your face. But as a pro MUA it's what clients request for the most (then blame us because it cracked after 5 minutes ... Some of us are FORCED to do this, "BECAUSE WE PAY YOU") 😰 What people doesn't know AT ALL is: A) they have editing B) some of them don't have this on all day long

I found out her in my IG search few times, I saw some videos, but after few seconds I had to take off because she shows the opposite of what you should do on your face. The girl is from Brazil, named Mari Maria and she has her own makeup brand... and I have to agree she does use a lot of product... I saw her say in her videos that she didn't know how to use the liquid powder from farsaki and it was her first time using it.
They darkened her foundation and then lightened it, but did nothing to her forehead so there was just a gradient of light to dark. Beautiful look nonetheless.

If you actually watch his videos and see he never says anything about the person he always says how the makeup look good! He only tries to say how for face shape or how exactly the product is supposed to be used due to some Instagram/youtubers don’t show you the real when it comes to makeup and I honestly agree with him I still watch youtubers and Instagram Tutorials but I also watch Robert because he actually helps you turn what you see them do into an everyday makeup wear because what you see on camera and what you see in person can look totally different and what you see on TH-cam or on Instagram is awesome and looks flawless but more than likely if you see them in person it looks cakey and dry, he never once talks about the person and most of the time he doesn’t even know who the person he is reviewing is it’s usually people that are recommended and which is why I would watch him over these other people because they do their reviews off of the person verses off of the makeup only

@Pickle Sandwiches that is incorrect. It depends on the coverage level,how it's applied and what it's applied with. I have freckles and depending on the foundation and techniques I use, they are usually lightly covered,but can still be seen.

I love him because he’s educational, kind, and so talented. And his language is colorful at times but not vulgar. An 11 yr old I used to nanny would watch some of these other ‘beauty gurus’ and some of the things they’d say and the words they used were so inappropriate. Robert is fun, educational, and classy.

I see comments like that EVERYWHERE. I see it with Hyram’s name as well. It’s so obnoxious and rude and I’m so glad you said something. Edit: I didn’t even know about blue mixing elements! I’m super fair and have cool undertones and have a really hard time finding a matching undertone in foundation and especially concealer. Why are so many concealers yellow 😭😭😭 However, Colourpop pulled through for me on the concealer front and it’s affordable and not too thick if anyone else has the same problem as me!
PUR pulled thru on the perfectly cool toned foundation for me as well. But that you, I do need a better concealer so I'll be looking into this 🖤

I’m REALLY warm and really pale and everything seems too pink for me. I still have to find a nice minion shade foundation that will be light enough.
I think the yellow-based concealers and foundations are the Kardashian effect. That is what they wear; however, not everyone has that kind of undertone. I have a cool undertone as well and would need the blue mixing element (which I did not know existed until this video!) to counteract the yellow undertoned foundation & concealer. SO glad my local Ulta did a match for me with foundation before SIP started.

Yes! The fact he would never make mean, hurtful comments is why he's a TH-camr I watch. There's so much entertainment on the Internet, narrowing what I consume down to people who aren't nasty and problematic narrows choices down for me. There's enough negativity in the world we can't avoid, I don't know why people choose meanness for entertainment too. Luxeria is like that too - not personally attacking, correcting misinformation in a polite way and always trying to see the positive and be encouraging.

I just want to point out that the girl that uses the farsali oil, on her instagram the company commented “ this is perfectly beautiful.” I just feel like the company just cares about the views those videos get because it’s putting their products out there. All publicly is good i guess.
That girl (who now has her own makeup company) is the queen of wasting product, but in some countries (even mine, Italy) is now kinda normal put so much product (I mean both skincare and makeup) on your face. But as a pro MUA it's what clients request for the most (then blame us because it cracked after 5 minutes ... Some of us are FORCED to do this, "BECAUSE WE PAY YOU") 😰
